2013 Edition of Audi A4 Challenges the BlueMotion Technology of Volkswagen Passat The German auto giant Audi recently launched the all new Audi A4 in the Indian market. The launch took place much before it was planned in order to be able to get edge over the direct competitors like that of BMW 3 Series and the 2013 edition of Volkswagen Passat.Though BMW 3 Series is considered to be an immediate competitor of the newly face-lifted edition of Audi A4, the luxury sedan is being much compared with the much latest Volkswagen Passat that features all new and much enhanced BlueMotion Technology. The new A4 considerably looks fresher and from some few perspectives, the luxury sedan appears to have incorporated the lines of A6 in it as well as afar as design and appearance is concerned. The most striking difference that can be noted by the car buyers is that of the headlamps that features good-looking and consistent band of LED daytime running lights. The lines of Audi A4 appear to be more clean and elegant whereas the grille has been remodeled in a hexagonal shape along with the new rectangular fog lamps. Also, the quality and design of the cabin space has been enhanced finely in the latest edition of Audi A4. Apart from the new gear lever, the steering wheel appears to be similar to the one that is being exhibited by Audi Q3. The face-lifted edition of new A4 will be made available in options of three different engine models. First one is that of the effective 3.0L V6 diesel engine, second one is that of the standard 2.0L diesel engine and last but not the least is that of the base 1.8L petrol based engine. All these three enhanced and upgraded engine models promise to offer better drivability, less emissions and notable performance of which the 1.8L petrol engine will be generating a peak power of 168 bhp along with a peak torque of 320 Nm at the rate of 3700 rpm. On the contrary, due to the comparison between Audi A4 versus Volkswagen Passat done on regular basis, Volkswagen India too recently introduced the all new Passat that features advanced and new BlueMotion Technology. Also, the diesel variant of new Volkswagen Passat will be made available to the car buyers of India in the options of both automatic and manual transmission. Volkswagen Passat apparently is considered to be an irresistible car in the Indian market at the moment because a host of new features have been incorporated in the new incoming model that will be available in three variants of Comfortline, Trendline and Highline. As far as the performance is concerned, the 2.0L CR TDI diesel powered engine of the all new Volkswagen Passat will be seen generating a peak power of 167.6 bhp. Along with a peak torque of 350 Nm at the rate of 1750-2500 rpm that makes the car extremely powerful in terms of fuel efficiency and significant low emissions. Both the cars comprise of notable features and give each other a tough competition when it comes to performance.
