Introduction● There have been many proposals to

optimize the student's attendancemanagement in educational fields.

● In this presentation, a novel framework forthe attendance management is proposed;– Using a mobile device and a web application

● The system were operated in my class lastyear and several feedbacks were collected,which is reported in this presentation.

– Student's ID card and card reader system– Near field communication (NFC) based system– Barcode and similar coding based system– Biometrics system– One time password system

● Problems:– It makes long queue to register attendance– It requires much expense to replace ID card

and/or implement the system

Problems of proposed system● The trial made clear that the use of this

system prevented from submittingfeedback comments from students.

● Some students would like to interact withthe teacher by writing feedback commentsinto the form paper.

● Therefore, we need propose an applicationwhich have a function for submitting bothof attendance information and feedbackcomments.

Conclusions● There are many attendance management

systems, however, they are not fullyimplemented in order to satisfy the needsfrom teachers and students.

● In this study, an prototype system wasproposed and was operated last year.

● The result revealed several possibilitiesand problems.

● Now, I am planning to implement a newsystem using Chameleon Code.
