ACTIX REPORTING TERMS
Accessibility Percentage of call attempts that resulted in a successful call initiation
Retainability Percentage of successfully initiated calls that did not drop until callcompletion
Voice Quality Audio quality during calls placed throughout a carrier¶s network.Percentage of combined uplink and downlink MOS samples that are
greater than or equal to a threshold
RxQUAL Received signal quality level, measured base on BER (bit error rate).Value is between 0-7, the lower the better.
RxLEV BTS and MS measure the received signal level within the range of í110dBm to í48 dBm. Measured signal levels are averaged and mapped to
RXLEV (received level) values, which are between 0 and 63.
Mean-Opinion
Score (MOS)
Provides a technology-independent, objective score of the audio/voice
quality of a call on an operator¶s network. Higher the MOS value, better would be the quality
EcNo Ratio between the received energy per chip divided by the power density
in the band. 'No' includes the power of specified cell as it indicates totalreceive power
RSSI Received Signal Strength Indicator is a measurement of the power presentin a received radio signal.
RSCP Received Signal Code Power is the power measured by a receiver on a particular physical communication channel. Used as an indication of
signal strength, as a handover criterion, in downlink power control, and tocalculate path loss. In CDMA systems, a physical channel corresponds to
a particular spreading code, hence the name.
Congestion Occurs due to non-availability of a traffic channel (TCH) or SDCCH to
the mobile due to capacity shortage, non-availability of circuit or switching circuit.
Access Time Time elapsed from the time the Send button is pressed to the time whenthe connect acknowledgment message is received at the mobile i.e. the
three-way handshake is completed.
Call Attempt Demand by a user for a connection to another user. Occurs when a mobileradio initiates a call sequence to obtain a voice channel, whether or not asystem control channel is available.
Access Failure Occurs when the user fails to obtain a traffic channel after a call attempt ismade
Access Timeout
failure
Occurs when the user fails to obtain a traffic channel within a specific
time period (30 sec) after a call attempt is made
Assignment Failure Occurs when the user fails to lock onto the assigned channel even after the

traffic channel assignment
Call Failure Percentage of calls to an ISP or any network provider that fail to getthrough even after requesting for the TCH
Network Failure Occurs when the requests from the mobile are rejected by the BaseStation/Network
No Communication(Muted)
Occurs when no communication can take place because the receivedsignal has low energy levels just after the mobile obtained the traffic
channel
