The Schulter Pre-K andKindergarten pre-enrollmentfor new students will be from8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in the highschool office on May 15th andMay 16th, 2014.

If your child has been at-tending our Pre-K programthis year, you will not need topre-enroll for kindergarten.

The Pre-K students musthave turned 4 years old on orbefore September 1, 2014, andthe Kindergarten studentsshould be 5 years old on or be-fore September 1, 2014.

Parents will need to bringan up-to-date immunizationrecord, a copy of the child’s

birth certificate, social securitycard, and CDIB card, if appli-cable. Parents who are in theprocess of acquiring theneeded verifications can com-plete the basic enrollment formso that Schulter School willhave a reliable student numberfor planning for the 2014/2015school year.

The Kindergarten studentswill be required to have com-pleted the Hepatitis A and Bseries, or at least started thefirst dose and must completethe series on schedule, havethe Varicella (chickenpox) vac-cination or a statement thatthey have had the chickenpox

disease. They must have re-ceived five DTP/DTaP/Td,four Polio, and two MMR.

The Pre-K students shouldbe in the process of receivingthe appropriate immunizationsbased on the child’s age. Thismeans four DTP/DTaP/Td,three polio, one MMR, com-pleted the Hepatitis A and B,(Two Hep. A and three Hep. B)or at least started the first doseand must complete the serieson schedule, and one dose ofVaricella or a statement fromthe parent that they have hadthe chickenpox disease.

Oklahoma students look-ing to attend college are en-couraged to apply for ascholarship from the Jason C.Wagner Foundation, a fundestablished by AT&T attor-ney Amy Wagner Collins tohonor her late husband.

The Foundation’s primaryfocus is to award collegescholarships to graduatinghigh school seniors in Okla-homa. Scholarships areawarded to applicants who, inthe Foundation’s view, mostexemplify the characteristicsJason Wagner had in life: in-tegrity, intelligence and kind-ness.

“Jason was so full of life,”Collins said. “My hope is

that through the Foundation,his legacy will live on andthat because of his life, thelives of our fellow Okla-homans will be enrichedthrough the gift of education.I know he would be honoredby the success our scholar-ship recipients haveachieved, and that’s reallyour purpose: to honor Jason,and to help others achievetheir dreams.”

Students who are selectedby the Foundation will re-ceive at least a $1,000 schol-arship to be used at theOklahoma college of theirchoice. To date, the Founda-tion has raised and awardedmore than $60,000 in college

scholarships to Oklahomastudents.

The Foundation is fundedby private donations and hasreceived financial supportfrom AT&T; Collins, Zorn &Wagner; The Association ofCounty Commissioners ofOklahoma (ACCO); Wedel,Rahill & Associates; Profes-sional Reporters and other or-ganizations and individuals.

OKLAHOMA CITY-TheOklahoma National Guard'sOffice of Public Affairs invitesall local media to attend a de-ployment ceremony for Bat-tery B, 1st Battalion, 158thField Artillery, 45th FiresBrigade, Oklahoma Army Na-tional Guard as they preparefor deployment to Afghanistanin support of Operation Endur-ing Freedom.

The event will take place onSaturday, April 26, at 10:00

a.m. at the Rinehart Gymna-sium located at 2730 BraggRoad on Fort Sill in Lawton,Okla. Media are asked to ar-rive at the gymnasium no laterthan 9:30 a.m.

Battery B will deploy withabout 80 Oklahoma Army Na-tional Guard Soldiers to in-clude members of Battery B,171st Target Acquisition Bat-tery (TAB) and 120th ForwardSupport Company (FSC).They are replacing their sister

unit, Battery A, 1st Battalion,158th Field Artillery. Whiledeployed, they will provide in-direct (artillery) fire support tocoalition forces using the HighMobility Artillery Rocket Sys-tems (HIMARS).

The Battery will participatein post-mobilization training atFort Bliss, Texas, before head-ing to Afghanistan. Total mo-bilization time will not exceedone year.
