I was told by the Coy Commander & men of the platoon that Atkins was killed in the Assembly trench on 4/10/1917. he was buried in the neighbourhood of Passchendaele. Informant;- Cpl R C Shoobridge 2764 40

Atkins is my cousin & in B Coy. I hear he was killed at Brood ????. I have a letter from Mrs Isabel Atkins (22 Upper Belgrave Rd. Clifton, Bristol) telling me that Atkins is buried at Levi Cottage, near Zonnebeeke (Letter produced & particulars read.) Place of burial ¾ of a mile N. of Zonnebeeke Village (map reading D.15d.O.O)
