The Institute offers undergraduate and post graduate programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Design. With immense pleasure, we wish to inform you that PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur in collaboration with IIT Delhi is organizing a National Conference on Smart Cities during November 25-26,2016. With Government of India announcing the name of ,Jabalpur' city at the seventh place in the list of first 20 smart cities under 'Smart Cities Mission', the aim is to identify challenges and explore opportunities in order to support creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration required for development of smart cities. The objective is to involve technologically savvy people across the globe for the said purpose. The Conference would focus on the Smart Cities: Technologies, Challenges, Governance, and opportunities for industries. fter Government of India (Gol) announcement of developing 100 smart cities acrossthe country, issuesaround-beingiscussed now. Smart cities are sustainable with a high quality of life and economic performance. To achieve this,

requires a shared vision of all stake holders -citizens, public and private organizations and many others. Thisconference promises to be an invigorating confluence ofthe best brains from the academia and the industry. Assuredindustry participation and most importantly, key government officers and NGO/ community volunteers haveguaranteed strong representation of the user community. The deliberation would include experts and scholars onSmart technologies, their applications, strategies, and policies forthe betterment of quality of life in cities.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished papers, nominating a theme-related track or designating thepaper as non-theme related ("Other"). Accepted papers will appear in the edited books provided that at least oneauthor registers for and attends the conference. High quality papers will be nominated for the Best Paper award.Better papers may be selected for publication in suitable journals.
