Admitted, full-time student Final “yes” in Clearinghouse or pending Compliance Eligibility Meeting
CompletedAll required NCAA, WAC, CSUF forms signed
Pass Physical/Cleared by Medical Staff Official transcripts all turned in and
evaluated if student is a transfer Cleared for practice by compliance
office.
All requirements for practice have been met
Admitted, full-time student Certified as eligible to compete by
Faculty Athletics Representative and compliance office (PTD satisfied or initial eligibility certified by Clearinghouse)
Major declared if in fifth semester or later
Budgetary Issues have caused institution to reduce enrollment to the level that is funded by the CSU (reminder that cost of tuition at CSU does not cover cost of education)
In discussions on how to reduce enrollment Fewer enrollment standard exceptions Remediation may eventually be phased out for
now policies that were not enforced will be Midyear enrollment…no More firm deadlines Number of repeats; withdrawals will be limited
Athletics needs to revisit exceptions that we need versus exceptions that are necessary as a result of our inefficiencies: EX:
presently still have PSAs not through admissions(cannot register until admitted)
presently there are still many unused scholarships, NLI deadline was August 1, any permanent adjustments for underclassmen or one-time adjustments for seniors should have been requested by now
Have international PSAs arriving after international orientation; a required item
Hopefully we do not have SAs who need to change majors or declare a major for eligibility…must be done prior to first day of classes
Transcripts from other institutions needed for credit for summer courses or for transfer entry…..are MIA
Reminder that some offices in athletics have fewer staff members and we have corporation furloughs.

Better year…..yet always know that some issues will happen..need to be handled consistently
Need to keep an eye on prescription drug use and academic fraud
Remember that coach defers to Code of Conduct committee for initial penalty, sport may have(in writing) more restrictive policies..also AD can suspend immediately if enough information available that felony occurred
Remember that all department employees have an obligation to immediately notify administration of violations of the code of conduct
