Automatic Cable Screen CABLERAKE®

CHARACTERISTICS:

The Automatic cable screen CABLERAKE ® is prepared to work continuously or in hard conditions in channels of width above 800 mm.

As a correct installation of such machinery, it is recommended to introduce it in channels of very high depth, in which we cannot implant our hydraulic or chain screens.

Such mechanic equipment is constituted by the following elements,

INTEGERAL PARTS:

Frame. - Monobloc type constituted in hot dip galvanized carbon steel or stainless steel (recommended), is the support to all the assembly of bars, motor system and cleaning assembly, it is also the guide element whereby the cleaning brush travels.

Filtrating screen. - constituted by straight bars of rectangular or triangular section, depending on application.

In screens of great dimensions, the bars are grouped by modules. The useful pass is variable depending on the project’s needs. All the assembly is dismountable, in order to make a good maintenance or substitution easier. Built in stainless steel.

Powering. - formed by engine drive, powers the main axis where two cable wrapping are assembled, the displacement of the cleaning brush is performed by the action of two stainless steel cables that pull it.

Cleaning brush. - the brush’s displacement in slightly inclined direction is displaced over guides located in the same frame. In descendant operation, the brush goes separated by the screen’s bars, which is introduced inside them (as it may apply) when reaching its lowest position, starting the ascending travel, dragging the trapped solids.

A discharge plate allows performing the drop at the

desired height.

Discharge. - A nylon scrapper coupled over a metallic profile, supported by two pivoting arms, perform the waste’s drop operation, in function of the operation as well as security.

Control and operation elements:

Electric board. - constituted by a cabinet (Himel). The elements which power the cleaning mechanism are located inside the cabinet.

A function selector, automatic, stop, manual.

Start/ stop buttons.

- A hourly timed clock.

- A powering control pilot.

- A thermal trigger control pilot.

- A general power switch.

- A net indicator pilot.

The board is protected with a command access key, which guarantees the handling of the screen only and exclusively to authorized staff.

All equipment is manufactured under EC rules, in order to be able to find easily its elements inside the national market.

Automatic Chain Screen TITAN®

CHARACTERISTICS:

The objective of screening, amongst others, is to separate and to protect the station or process of the possible unseasonable arrival of large objects, to separate and evacuate easily the voluminous matters, etc.

The operation, generally discontinuous, of the clearing device, can be powered by means of an electric temporized adjustable clock, or better, by a differential charge loss indicator.

The combination of both systems can also be used.

This equipment is recommended for screening equipment with continuous and automatic cleaning which are installed in waterways of great depth and in which it is not possible to install, for this reason, the a l te rna t ive type (DA-011, o f our manufacturing).

Cleaning is executed by means of a brush that detaches and transports the solid waste deposited in the screen, lifting and discharging it in the upper part towards a container, transporting band, endless screw, hydraulic compactor, etc.

As many as needed, cleaning brushes, may be installed. They are determined accordingly to the quantity of solids that pass by the waterway.

The chain is powered by one to each jagged wheels, it slips over rollers in its respective guides, which maintains it centred and dynamically stable. The maintenance consists simply in its periodical lubrication; in the upper part it has a tensor to adjust perfectly to the chain.

INTEGRAL PARTS:

One may say that the chain screen TITAN ® is a simple equipment that we will break down in the following elements,

CONSTRUCTIVE CHASSIS:

Completely manufactured in galvanized carbon steel (standard), it constitutes the support of all the set, forming a fixed structure of metallic profiles, it

has the mission to anchor the screen to the waterway and guide the cleaning brushes through its interior.

SCREENING RACKS:

The gratings are constructed in rectangular profiles, from 10 mm, to 100 mm, in stainless steel material of AISI 304 or 316 quality.

CLEANING BRUSH:

The brush is built in stainless steel material of AISI 304 or 316 quality, the jags are manufactured in an independent piece, which makes its replacement easier in case of wearing.

CHAIN:

The chain is supplied in carbon steel, stainless steel of AISI 304 or 316 quality.

ELECTRIC BOARD:

It is constituted by a cabinet (Himel). In its interior the electric elements which powers the cleaning mechanism are incorporated, and in which are situated,

-A function selector, automatic, stop, manual.-A starting button and a stop button-A scheduled timed clock-A pilot for motion control- A pilot for control of thermal shot- A general power switch- A pilot for web indication

The electric board is protected by an access key to command, which guarantees the handling of the screen only by authorized personnel.

All equipment is manufactured under CE regulations, so its components can be easily found in the national market.

Automatic Circular Screen JASON ®

CHARACTERISTICS:

Specially indicated for important installations of medium/ small size, and when the waters are moderately loaded.

They adapt to not very deep installations and have the advantage to present a great useful surface.

Cleaning is performed by means of one to up to four brushes assembled in the extreme of an arm which rotates around a horizontal axis.

An extractor makes the wastes to fall, behind the filtrating screen, to a perforated basket, endless carrier, compacter, etc.…

Of great utility for installations such as,

- Waste water treatment plants.- Irrigated land.- Paper industry.- Slaughter houses.- Pumping stations.- Industry in general.Etc.…

CONSTRUCTION:

Body

Monobloc equipment adequate for a quick assemble in site. Built in laminated stainless steel profiles of Aisi-304 or 316 qualities.

Screen cleaning arm

Revolving arm in whose extreme the brush is assembled, which in its displacement is supported in the filtrating screen, evacuating and eliminating a l l the re ta ined so l ids . Such arm is counterbalanced by the extreme opposite to the brush. Built in laminated stainless steel profiles of Aisi-304 or 316 qualities.

Cleaning scraper

Nylon scrapper assembled over metallic profile, which is supported by two articulated arms. Built in over metallic profile, that is supported by two articulations. Built in laminated stainless steel profiles of Aisi-304 or 316 qualities.

Motor equipment

Made up by an engine drive group, that by means

of a direct transmission powers the main axis, in which the cleaning arm is fastened. Built in laminated stainless steel profiles of Aisi-304 or 316 qualities.

Filtrating screen

Generally in triangular profile, curved depending on the spinning radius of the brush. Useful mesh according to the client's needs. Built in laminated stainless steel profiles of Aisi-304 or 316 qualities.

We do not recommend the installation of such equipment with meshes above 12 mm, or with cleaning brush of fish spine type. (Jags).

Solids recollection

The recollection of solids can be made by means of a basket with bottom in perforated plate endless carrier, compacter, etc.…

Finishing

Standard finishing of such equipment is a vesta welding rust removing and pressurized hot water jet afterwards, as optional they are supplied with glass ball spread.

For the automatic functioning of the screen, an electric board can be foreseen, which can be equipped with start - stop devices, depending on the following modalities:

- Cyclic timer- Level Buoy- Loss of charge detector (depending on water level)

Circular Clariflocculator CLARIPRO ®

CHARACTERISTICS:

The equipment in question is a mix between a decanter bridge and a zflocculator with the sum of these concepts a two in one.

The machine can be designed and implemented with a minimum of two flocculators to a maximum of four units, the equipment can be manufactured in radial execution, two thirds or diametral.

The standard version of these devices are designed for tanks from 30 meters to 65 meters in diameter.

The equipment consists of the following parts or main pieces:

- Walkway- Drive head- Rotating flocculation panels- Sweeping elements- Weis and deflectors

Walkway:

The Design of the Electro welded is very robust, usually based of structural profiles or IPE with railings welded or screwed, usually constructed of carbon steel with endings painted or galvanized, standard minimum width 800 mm, height railing minimum 900 mm, floor support becomes tramex or hot dip galvanized or fiberglass.

Drive head:

Located on the periphery of the circular enclosure, depending on the type of bridge we can find one or two units, it has two driving wheels and its corresponding direct drive gear motor.

Flocculator rotating panels:

We can find in this panels at the central zone and mixing enclosure, usually between two or four depending on the design and size of the equipment, driven by a direct drive gear motor

fixed speed but with variable option request.

Shovels are very robust and usually made of stainless steel AISI-304 or AISI-316 but can also be manufactured in carbon steel painted or galvanized finish.

Sweeping elements:

It consists of two sweeping elements for sludge and for foams, the bottom sweeper can be executed continuous longitudinal type or fishbone continue and foam sweeper with hopper at the periphery or with collector box of foam pumps to the centre of the enclosure.

Usually made of stainless steel AISI-304 or AISI-316 but can also be manufactured of carbon steel painted or galvanized finish.

Weirs and deflectors:

They are made usually of standard anodized aluminium they can be made of stainless steel AISI-304 or AISI-316, size 200 high and 2000 mm long including their corresponding supports for installation (deflectors)

Circular Decanting Bridge LODON ®

DESCRIPTION:

The walkway consists of the following independent elements:

Lateral handrails in tubular profiles.

Central supports pivoting anchoring dragging scrapper.

Central pivot support opposite end.

Central screen pass: hot dip galvanized Tramex.

Extreme motor drive anchoring.

Decanter access stair (optional)

CENTRAL PIVOT:

Built according to the mono block system, it is only necessary in site anchoring, because of that the introduction of four awning poles has been anticipated.

It has a brush collector incorporated for the feeding of the peripheral motion motor drive.

The connection is made by fixed boxes placed in such pivot.

The rolling cushions have RS protection, and must be greased once a year.

BACKGROUND SCRAPERS:

In the manufacturing program, two types can be mentioned:

Discontinuous (fishbone)

Continuous (ascending band)

Both systems have nylon wheels, with stainless steel axis for their sliding across the bottom of the tank.

The mud sweeping scrappers are of Neoprene, and adjustable for its fitting, so the gum wearing down is compensated.

End constructed according to the project.

Any of the circular bridges may be equipped for its

collocation as primary decanter.

The collector of floating scum consists of three fundamental elements:

1. Water level dragging plate.2. Floating scum pick up.3. Filling shovel.

DRAG CHAPA

Hanged in the bridge walkway, it is height adjustable. ARGQUETA COLLECTION

Built in steel plate, it is supplied for its anchorage in site and with scum outside exit tube. 200 mm diameter standard tube.

FILLING SHOVEL

Placed at the end of the bridge walkway, it takes charge of the ELECATION of scum up to the pickup board.

Precisely along with the scum it drags most part of water which serves of vehicle for them. With this we avoid clogging in the outside exit tube.

Circular Decanting Suction Bridge LODON SUCTION ®

DESCRIPTION AND CHARACTERISTICS

Walkway. Radial Walkway based in ending side (to central pivot) and other side to drive trolley. Built in steel plate box type and tube profiles, used as a handrail, too.

Metallic galvanized in order to walking on.

Drive Trolley. It is located at the ending walkway and it is composed with a gear motor and two wheels, one driving and the other one driven. Wheels type red-band, supported by bearings balls.

Central Pivot. Articulated set where it is based one ending of the walkway. Rotation through large diameter bearing, designed to resist those forces that could be caused small irregularities of the enclosure. Incorporates rings collector for engine power supply.

Central Diffuser. Welded sheet steel built. It helps to assure water has an uniform distribution in all area.

Bottom Scrappers. Rubber Scrappers joined to a steel plate with a teeth design. They are joined to suction tubes.

Suction Tubes. These ones working as a bottom scrappers support. These ones sliding from area bottom sludge and go up into sludge gutter.

Sludge Channel. Built in steel plate, which has a target to collect suctioned sludge and to send these ones through gutter siphon. This Sludge Channel is supported by nuts. Included chisels in order to get an adequate inlet control sludge.

Siphon. Item whereby sludge is moved from sludge gutter to concrete circular gutter.

Vacuum Pump. Its function is to create vacuum into siphon. Installed at ladder walkway and connected into upper side of siphon.

Scum Carrying System. Composed by surface Brushing Scrapper, designed to move scum up to pheripheric area, where an arm puts scum into a hopper.

Sludge Collecting Hopper. Installed on pheripheric area and achoraged at civil work. It is supplied in two versions, external or submerged. Built in steel plate.

Helicoidal Compactor HELICOMPACT ®

CHARACTERISTICS:

Specially designed for the compacting and dripping of the debris incoming from separation, automatic screens, step screens, rotating drums, etc.….

Constituted by two independent elements, but forming a single functioning unit, which requires electric feed.

Due that the pressing element is of Helicoidal movement, it can compact without problems bottles, wood, etc., providing these are not of a mayor size than the diameter of the screw or its pass.

The compacting of volume achieved is between 50 to 70% with the elimination of water and odours in the final disposal.

As optional accessories we can say the Helicoidal compacter may incorporate the following elements,

- Control panel- Electrical torque switch- Civil works anchoring plugs- Compacted solids impulsion pipe- Exit zone pipe with CONE- Hopper to charge solids

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:

Body

Of special design in stainless steel Aisi-304 or 316 qualities, diameter according to model and transporting capacity, dripping zone incorporated, and optional counterweight according to application.

Helicoidal Conveyor Screen TWISTER ®

CHARACTERISTICS:

The Helicoidal conveyor screen TWISTER ® is combined equipment for the separation of solids in the waste water and their posterior compacting and dehydration. The solid material in suspension in the transporting liquid deposits itself in the screen blocking it and causing a raise in the upwards water level and a drop of the downwards water level. At that moment the helix starts to work, cleans the screen, brings the material up, it dehydrates it and it compacts it.

The equipment is composed of:

- Filtering screen- Transporting conveyor- Compacter

The filtering screen is formed by a screen with mesh of 0.25 to 10 mm that retains the solids in suspension in the transporting liquid. This screen is kept clean by means of the corresponding brush which is fixed to the exterior extreme part of the helix.

The screen can be of two types:

- Johnson profile type screen between 0.25 and 10 mm- Perforated or triangular plate screen with holes between 3 and 10 mm

The transporting conveyor is formed by a helix without axis that allows the deposited solids to be raised. The non-axis conveyor allows extracting differently shaped and sized materials that in another way are difficult to transport.

The compacter, the own transporting helix serves to carry out the compacting – dehydrating of the screenings, with results of a volume reduction higher even than 50%.

Its advantages:

1) Totally automatic work, with possibility of rotation speed variation needs.

2) Screened solids exit hopper, length according to application

3) Screened solids compacting system, this system includes a compacting screen washing system, which avoids the screen to be clogged and eases the water exit.

4) The tilt system allows to examine at any moment the state of both the filtering screen as well as the Helicoidal screw

5) This screw zone is simply the transport of the screened solids, which are directed to the compacting head, the screw is hollow.

6) Filtering screen, with possibilities of execution in Johnson profile between 0.25 and 10 mm and in perforated or triangular plate screen with holes between 3 and 10 mm

7) Helicoidal spiral with special design which has a anti wearing brush incorporated, this is the one that carries out the screening of the solids.

(NOTE: As optional we can incorporate a filtering screen washing system)

Helicoidal Endless Conveyor BUFFALO ®

CHARACTERISTICS:

Sfh endless carriers have the following elements incorporated as standard,

- Legs ground support.- Upper protective lids and withered armed.- Income hopper.- Water evacuation piping.

Regarding applications, we can say such equipment are feasible and of correct operation in installations such as,

- Waste water stations.- Urban water stations.- Pumping and collector stations.- Irrigation stations.- Paper and paste factories.- Agricultural industry.- Food (agro-food) industries.- Chemical industries.- Incineration installations. Etc...

The endless carriers are the solution for the transportation of a great diversity of products,

- Muddy materials, semi-fluids, viscous, etc...- Fibrous products, etc...- Irregular material or that tends to form vaults, etc...

The endless carriers without nucleus differentiate from the classical screw carriers in,

First. - The endless carrier is a spiral without axis. Built in stainless steel of Aisi 304 or 316 quality, of strong thickener and robust.

Second. - the spiral conception without central axis, permits the endless carrier to have greater transportation capacity.

Third. - the behaviour with fibrous material or which tend to agglutinate and to transport products of very variable granulometry, is very favourable because no element slows down the advance of the products and advance they can be filled without danger of blockage.

Fourth. - the endless carriers can work “pushing” or “pulling”.

Fifth. - installations with endless carriers are very compact and occupy very reduced space.

Sixth. - Supplementing the spiral allows to increase the working inclination, as well as increasing the rigidity of the endless carrier in big lengths.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Channel. - Of special design, completely built in stainless steel of Aisi 304 or 316 quality. It has some pleats in the upper part in order to give position to the protective lids. Surrounding it, reinforces are introduced in U shape to guarantee the correct operation of such equipment.

Income mouth. - design and dimensions according to needs. Built in stainless steel of Aisi 304 or 316 quality.

Protective lids. - located in the upper part of the transportation channel, longitudinal section. They have incorporated withered arms for their extraction. Built in stainless steel of Aisi 304 or 316 quality.

Carrier bed. - Anti wearing polyethylene Hd-1000., curved section.

Equipment support legs. - directly welded to the transportation channel, the transportation, as well as the distribution, quantity and position of assemblage will be according with the implementation. Built in stainless steel of Aisi 304 or 316 quality.

Helicoidal screw. - Built in stainless steel of Aisi 304 or 316 quality. It has correctly coupled brushes directly welded to it, which will have the precise diameter to make the precise cleaning of the draining zone located in the transportation channel.

Motor equipment. - Composed by an engine drive group that by means of a direct transmission powers the main axis in which the helicoidal screw is fastened. Built in laminated stainless steel profiles of Aisi 304 or 316 quality.

Helicoidal Grit Classifier SCREWBLADE ®

CHARACTERISTICS:

The water/ sand mixture is pumped to the Helicoidal classifier. They create a laminar flow, due to the special conception of the input and the shape of the tank, which favours a good decantation.

Solids are deposited at the bottom of the tub and the carrier slowly raises the part icles (recommended rotation speed less than 5 r.p.m). Without any turbulence it removes from the water and the trickles before the discharge.

There is no danger of blockage by the floating matters that are easily eliminated.

Water comes out by overflow, up to the header of the plant.

- Purifier plants treatment.- Industrial paper and cellulose.- Recycling plants.- Food and agriculture industry, vegetables and fruits processor. Etc...

Hydraulic Automatic Screen HIDRORAKE®

CHARACTERISTICS:

In order to try to solve the separation problems, an Automatic Screen System with the following advantages was developed:

- Without gears- Without chains- Without cushions- Without mechanical torque switches.- Without drivers- Without wheels no rods- Without fixed guides for the brush

In year 1983 the two first screens with these requirements were assembled in the Vilanova and Geltrú E.D.A.R. for our client Dragados Construcciones, S.A.

From that date on, we have been constructing them, and at the same time our technical department has been introducing improvements that have increased its performance and dependability and reduced its maintenance.

Basically, the operation idea of the HIDRORAKE ® screen, is to reproduce by means of a headstock and two oleo hydraulic cylinders, the movements that a person would do to clean a screen with a rake, which would be,

- Raise the rake, and being in upwards position, put it down to the bottom of the channel- Nail the rake in the screen and pull it upwards, raising the solids retained in the screen- Discharge the retained solids in a container, endless carrier, band, basket….

For the operation of the HIDRORAKE ® Screens, there is a control board placed in a board, which contains the hydraulic and electric group. In that board are located;

- A function selector, automatic, manual or stop.- Starting and stop buttons.- An hourly temporized clock.- A functioning control pilot.- A thermal trigger control pilot.- A general switch.- A pilot indicator of network.

If the screen is originally equipped with endless band, compacter, or garbage extraction conveyors, the board will include;

- A function selector, automatic, manual or stop.- A functioning control pilot.- A thermal discharge control pilot.

The board is protected by a transparent methacrylate casing that prevents it from getting wet in case of positioning through it.

When the screen is located in places without surveillance or fence, the command board is protected by a metallic cover with key that prevents it from being manipulated by strangers.

One advantage of the operation of the HIDRORAKE ® Screen is that it in no movement in the rake it has fixed guides, which means that if it cannot raise the quantity of retained solids or if a stuck object is retained, it stops rising, it raises above the object, advances and comes down again continuing its way up to the discharge point.

To eliminate the maintenance problems, we have placed the following;

- The scraping arm in stainless steel, AISI-304 or 316 qualities.- Nylon exterior supports (without greasing).- Filtrating screen, in stainless steel of AISI-304 or 316 qualities.

- Body and frame, in carbon or hot dip galvanized steel.- Hydraulic elements, submerged in oil.- There does not exist any submerged mechanic element.

The needed maintenance consists in watching the oil level in the deposit.

Due to the special operation characteristics of the Screen HIDRORAKE ®, a screen of triangular profile has been developed, with which an effective passing of up to 1.00 mm is obtained. This screen and the rake that operates above it are stainless steel and do not have jags.

OPERATION:

Manual Position: We will position the selector in manual position, and the we will press the start button, the rake will descend elevated up to the bottom of the channel, at the end of the its trip it approaches the screen and will ascend dragging the objects it finds retained, up to its resting position. A scrapper cleans the rake when it reaches the upper position.

At any point, when the stop button is pressed, the rake stops, maintaining its position. To start its movement, the start button will be pressed.

Automatic position: We will place the selector in automatic position, the operation of the screen will be conditioned by the timer, which we can determine as many times we want the screen to operate in an hour and during how many time.

The cycles described in the manual operation are repeated in the automatic one.

If the screen is equipped with an endless compactor or with a transporting band, by placing its selector in automatic position, it will function at unison with the screen. In order to prevent the mentioned equipment to remain full of garbage, when the screen performs the last sweep and stops, the endless compactor or the band, will continue operating some seconds, enough to dispose of the solids.

SECURITY EQUIPMENT: The movement of the rake, downwards, upwards, as well as the one of approximation to the screen, is protected by effort limiters that act directly over the oil flow that feeds the hydraulic cylinders.

These limiters are easily adjustable and because they are in the inside of the bench and in oil bath their characteristics are not affected by the pass of time.

The discharge of any of them produces the stop of the movement it controls, without being near to impair the screen or any of its components.

Four limiters exist, which protect with different pressures the four movements of the two cylinders.

This allows us to adjust the effort of each movement independently from the rest.

The screen is electrically protected by thermal magnets with differential and general power switch.

For the manoeuvre circuits, the tension has been of 24 v, both inside and outside, complying with the manual regulations.

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENTS:

To start the screen, it can be equipped with:

A maximum buoy, upstream if the level goes up excessively indicating the screen is dirty, the screen will start operation until the level descends, this will happen provided that the screen selector is in automatic position.

A buoy upstream and downstream, the buoy down will give us the start order when it descends up to a minimum level, provided that the buoy upstream detects it exists a superior level.

A system to detect charge loss, this system allows predetermining a maximum charge loss, in function of which the screen will start operating.

The employed system may be by means of two ultrasonic sensors or through two detectors and a differential pressure measure.

Distance control, the electrical board, exits can be foreseen to detect from distance the electrical failure of thermal trigger of the engines, we can also adapt a device that indicates a general failure of any element that produces that the screen cleaner cannot finish a cleaning cycle.

The HIDRORAKE ® screen, is built by the following elements:

- Fixed Frame- Movable head- Control bench- Filtrating screen

FIXED FRAME:

Built in welded steel plate, it constitutes the support of all the assembly, formed by a fixed bench that is coupled to a metallic profile structure that has the mission of fixing the screen to the floor by jeans of metallic nails or anchoring plugs.

The command bench is fixed to the inferior structure forming a homogeneous assembly.

Movable head: It is built in stabilized welded steel plate before its mechanization; this bolster supports the scrapping arm with the picking rake.

The scrapping arm is fabricated in stainless steel tube and it slips by means of synthetic material cushions, anti-wearing and that does not require greasing.

The traveling of the rake is made by means of a hydraulic cylinder.

The moving bolster is fixed to the static frame by means of an axis that allows oscillating movement, with which we manage to make the rake descend in an elevated position and gets up in position that presses the screen. We achieve this movement by means of another hydraulic cylinder, the cylinders are constructed with normalized materials and in the parts in contact with the water we put a hard chromium finish, to avoid corrosions and wearing.

The rake is built in carbon or welded steel, the jags are built in an independent piece, which simplifies its replacement in case of wearing down.

When the screen is of stainless steel triangular profile, the pointed scrapper is substituted by aluminium lineal or other suitable material.

All the bolters have a built- in residual ejector, that cleans the rake once it reaches its highest position.

Control bench: It is constituted by a metallic cabinet, and the hydraulic group with the oil deposit is located inside.

At the front of the bench and protected by a methacrylate board, the controls of the screen are located.

The hydraulic group is formed by two independent oil circuits, produced by two gearing bombs and commanded by regulating and pressure limiting electro valve.

All equipment is manufactured by EEC norms so its elements can easily be found in the market.

Endorsed to the bench or in its inside the electrical board is located, which automatizes the screen operation, being protected by a differential, thermals and fuses.

Screen: Our normalized screens are constituted in triangular profile and always in stainless steel material of AISI-304 or AISI-316 quality, for meshes from 1.00 mm up to 10 mm.

For meshes of 10 mm or more, they are built of rectangular profile and in AISI-304 or AISI-316 stainless steel materials.

The rake will have the same finishing and material of as the filtrating screen.

Because the filtering screen does not form a sole part of the Screen, this allows its replacement without having to disassemble the whole. This entails the possibility to change mesh, the material or the finishing very easily.

Finishing: The normalized finishing of the elements that are part of the screen and they are:

- The body and frame are of carbon or hot galvanized steel.

- The scraping arm is stainless steel of AISI-304 or AISI-316 quality.- The filtrating screen is stainless steel of AISI-304 or AISI-316 quality.

- Two layers of anti-rust priming and two layers of Epoxy resin blue Ral finishing.

Other materials can be used in function of the application of the screen.

CHARACTERISTICS:

Press filters are used more frequently each time, despite the discontinuous character of their operation and their high investment cost. Their development is explained by the following reasons,

1) Increasingly mechanization of the appliances up to the point to need a minimum of manpower or supervision for the cakes discharge operations or for the washing of fabrics. (In situ automatic washing).

2) Necessity to obtain cakes of great dryness, to allow:

- The auto combustion of sludge in their incineration.- The reduction if the fuel consumption in the case of thermal dry.- A more comfortable discharge.- The use of sludge as haulage material.- A limitation in the transportation costs of the dehydrated sludge.

The press filter is the only equipment which guarantees very high effective pressures (16 bars and above), with which maximum dryness of cake is achieved. (Generally above 30 %).

DESCRIPTION:

Press filters usually used to dry sludge are of the easy mechanization plaques type for the discharge of the cake.

A filter is usually constituted by a battery of vertical plates strongly supported between them.

Over the two faces of these plaques, filtrating fabrics are applied. Sludge arrive a pressure to the cameras created between two adjacent plaques.

The filtered recovered by the channels, in the back part of the fabrics, is evacuated by means of conduits arranged through the plaques.

Such plaques also consist of orifices whose alignment constitutes the sludge feeding ducts. These orifices are arranged at the centre or at the periphery of the plaques. With the central feeding a better distribution across all the plaque is achieved, of caudal, of pressure and hence, of drainage.

The fabrics generally are tissues of synthetic fibres. The careful selection of the quality of the fabric has great influence in the yield of filtration a pressure installation.

The space that exists between two plaques, in its central hollow part, corresponds to the thickness of the cake. The thickness can oscillate between 30 and 20 mm, depending on the specific resistance, more or less elevated from the sludge and the fixed duration of the cycle.

FILTRATION CYCLE:

Filling - during this phase of relatively short duration (3

to 10 % of total cycle), the filtration cameras, limited by the outside faces of the fabrics of two adjacent plaques, are filled with sludge to filter. The filling time depends on the caudal of the feeding bomb.

Filtration - once the cameras are filled, the continuous introduction of the suspension raises the pressure inside the cameras due to the closure of the sludge's pores, which concentrates.

Discharge - this operation consists in opening the filter. The plaques are separated one from another and the cakes formed between two plaques are successively expelled

Floating material retention in sewage structures.

The pollution of superficial water resources, by the combination of the sewerage system and in part also by storm water tanks, consists of solids which are present in the residual water. This includes a wide variety of dissolved and semi dissolved fibres and solid substances, with different structures and specific weights (plastic shreds, sanitary towels, diapers, preservatives, fecal matter, paper, etc.).

The growing restoration of the natural water resources to their natural state makes essential to avoid the flow of floating materials in the future.

The construction of submerged walls in the sewerage structural stops only a part of the floating solids, because the considerable speed of the flow tends to increase with the short space that there normally is between the submerged walls; this speed increase promotes the flow of solid material.

Continuous basin-tanks can only perform their duty in a limited grade, because of the great volume of water and the ever increasing proportion of light materials.

Retention basin and channels have the inconvenience that the combined un treated water is poured into the river's flow once they are full.

A combination of tank-screen or tank-spillway screen is the best way to solve this situation. In this concept, the retention of the highly contaminated flow is the main duty of the tanks. CHARACTERISTICS:

The first stage of the waste water treatment process, both urban as well as industrial, consists of a mechanical pre-treatment.

As powering systems of the penstocks, the following procedures can be used,

1.- Manual.2.- Electric by engine drive.3.- Electric by servomotor.4.- Hydraulic.

Manual powering - such powering is performed by means of a bronze screw nut jointly with a trapezoidal thread spindle, and a manoeuvre steering wheel whose technical characteristics are described in the penstocks' design. Bronze or nylon rods, balls and sockets are also included. This powering in the penstocks of a single spindle can be direct or by means of a reducer, ball or rod axial rollers.

Engine drive powering - The engine drive to be introduced will be applied according to the dimensions and penstock's hydraulic pressure. It will have an optimum speed that produces a minimal wearing down of the spindle at the lifting of the penstock (0.03 mts/min.). The electrical powering will be accompanied

by an electronic torque switch to avoid over exertions, and two end of trip regarding end of road.

In penstocks of a spindle the engine drive will directly couple, in two spindle penstocks it will be positioned at the extreme or at the centre of the penstock and always accompanied of two gear boxes. It will carry a manual emergency steering wheel.

Servomotor powering - in the servomotor there will be: end of trip, torque switch, and regulation mechanisms of the penstock, which will allow to regulate the levels. The servomotor's position will be according to the number of spindles as well as the engine drive.

Hydraulic powering - by means of a hydraulic cylinder, it only is of application in penstocks of a single spindle. The stem is directly joined to the chisel and the cylinder anchors to the penstock's bridge. The system will be of all or nothing opening.

PENSTOCKS' DESCRIPTION:

Guide frame - built in stainless steel of Aisi 304 or 316 quality, is of use as guide for the board introducing itself in the construction with quick concrete in the slices left in the channel for that purpose. The height of the frame is recommended to surpass in 900 mm the top of the manoeuvring floor.

Base plate - built in stainless steel of Aisi 304 or 316 quality, welded at the upper part of the frame powering supports are located. It will be constituted by a laminated profiles board, from where, if necessary, gear boxes will be coupled and transmission to power it from a lateral supposing two spindles.

Penstock's board - built in stainless steel plate of Aisi 304 or 316 quality, of thickness between 5.00 and 8.00 mm, with the necessary reinforces in laminated profiles welded to the plate and calculated to resist the maximum hydraulic pressure. In the upper central part, it will have welded the placement for the screw nut that gives movement to the board. At the centre and in all its length it will have welded the spindle's protection tube.

Displacement guides - of low density polyethylene, self-lubricating product with very good sliding conditions. Located at the extremes of the board and are displaced jointly to it through the frame that guides them accomplishing the transversal and longitudinal sliding.

Sealing enclosures - Closing is accomplished by means of stainless steel sheet metal of Aisi 304 or 316 quality complementing with the 50-60 Gr Shore A hollow neoprene profile at the laterals and the lower part.

Tightening wedges - Adjustable for a perfect coupling, built in bronze, screwed to the board and to the frame.

Powering mechanism - Formed by, steering wheel, manoeuvre column and gear boxes. Spindle is built in Din 109 trapezoidal screw nut, and in stainless steel of Aisi 303 quality, of diameter according to the length so it limits the arrow to 1/1000 of the length.

In its upper part it has a mechanized zone to couple the steering wheel's support. The two spindles assembly is made from penstock's width of more than 1.200 mm.

The lock nut is built with bronze material for the spindle powering. They will be located in the upper part of the board or the bridge (column) depending on the spindle's procedure; this is, ascending or fixed.

The steering wheel is built cast, where a support with rollers will be located, which improves its manageability.

Gear boxes - Are hermetic boxes where an assembly of conic crows and gear pinions, rolling trees, etc., are located. That fit the in a vertical horizontal movement. They are assembled in the double spindle penstocks, depending on the necessary manoeuvre effort. The pinion-crown relationship will be of 1:2 to reduce the moment needed at the manoeuvring point.

CHARACTERISTICS:

In such pre-treatment it is included:

The Pre-treatment compact plant COMBIPRO ® installations allow to carry out the above mentioned treatments in a single equipment and for flows up to 150 l/s (540 m3/h).

The waste water is introduced to the entry of the equipment through a flange connected pipe.

The solids contained in the liquid are trapped in the screen and during their extraction a series of nozzles of great performance and power proceed to their washing to eliminate the most of the existing organics substances.

In the lower level of the screen the compacting/ dehydration of the screenings is carried out with the obvious and significant reduction of their volume before they are discharged in a container or plastic bag designed for such purpose. The liquid that travels through the screen enters a hopper where, optimized by the introduction of air, the existing grit sediments. A conveyor takes care of its dehydration and discharges it into the container designed for this purpose.

In this same hopper, also optimized by the introduction of air, the process of the existing grease substances “flotation” is then carried out, and an appropriate device takes care of dehydrating them and discharges them in a container.

Rotating Disc Filter ODYSSEUS ®

CHARACTERISTICS:

The liquid enters a cylindrical horizontal axis chamber and exits by both sides, trough filtering mesh rotating discs, all in stainless steel. The discs can separate solids as small as 30 microns, up until 350 microns, being easy to change the size of the mesh in site. The eliminated materials are automatically sent to the discharge mouths. The patented system is non clogging and with very low maintenance.

DRUM SPEED:

The drum may be driven by speed regulator to give the disc speeds from 2.4 to 12 r.p.m. This way different flow may be worked with and change the dripping grade of the separated solids.

Variety in the size for a variety of needs:

The rotating filters FRD-020 ® are made in different sizes, from the two-disc model with a capacity of 16 m3/hour, to the 12-disc model with a capacity of up to 1032 m3/hour.

Rotating Drum RANGER ®

CHARACTERISTICS:

Revolving drum is a machine intended for the filtration or screening of liquids in general, with punctured passes from 0,10 a 3 mm in standard performances, in order to achieve a solid- liquid separation.

It is a self-cleaning device, able to work during long periods without needing attention.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Filtrating cylinder - completely built in stainless steel of Aisi 304 or 316 quality, this cylinder is built with special machinery, by helicoidal wrapping of a triangular section profile over an assembly of support bars that follow the generative lines of the cylinder. All and each of the cross points between the helicoidal wrap and the support bars are

welded, giving high rigidity and resistance to the assembly. The separation between spirals (light of pass) of the helicoidal wrap is regulated during its construction, in order to obtain the desired light of screen.

Body - in strong metal welded stainless steel construction of Aisi 304 or 316 quality, provided with distribution box of the liquid to filter, income and exit connections, anchorage legs, sealing elements, etc.

Water elimination system - is achieved by means of an expelling scraper which constantly scrubs with the filtrating cylinder, scrapping the wastes attached to the mesh, which by means of a discharge plate are collected in an endless container, etc... Built in brass.

Revolving brush - for loosening of the retained solids over the filtrating drum. (In special applications).

Powering - by means of a reducer group of endless screw broadly sized, tied by flange over a lateral wall of the body, minimal Ip-55 standard protection, class F isolation.

CHARACTERISTICS:

Sludge Thickener COTRAC ®

The ESTRUAGUA Sludge thickener COTRAC ® is built in stainless mesh AISI 304 of triangular section and parallel to the axis. The sludge that must be treated is introduced in the inside of the drum by a distribution box and a double conducting channel. The filtered liquid crosses the holes while the purged dregs are brought to the exit of the debris by an internal helicoidal band. The dryness and the productivity are a function of del incoming flow and the conditioning and type of sludge. The capture index of these is excellent.

CHARACTERISTICS:
