It is so exciting to revel in the summer with you, where every night is magnificent and special. Together we have created something unique in the world of Pops music and we can all be proud of that. You’re invited to a one-of-a-kind concert series where all summer long, we play the best, and at times the rarest gems from the Great American Songbook, and we do it with a lineup of stellar soloists from Broadway and beyond. And then there’s the beautiful gardens and the sublime surroundings provided by the L.A. Arboretum. At the Pasadena POPS, we do more than perform the best music – we do it in the absolute best place in town, under a canopy of stars. This season, we bring you the music of Cole Porter, Broadway, Hollywood’s MGM Movie Classics, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, a special tribute to Elton John and so much more – including my personal “behind-the-music” stories about what makes each song so special and puts it in a fun context. So, drink in the music that makes life worth living while enjoying your picnics (perhaps with a glass of bubbly!) and make lasting memories with your friends and loved ones.

I’m looking forward to seeing you this summer at the Arboretum.

From Stephen Foster to Richard Rodgers, and Barry Manilow to Marvin Hamlisch – the best of American popular song with Beautiful Dreamer, Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man, Maria, Where Or When, The Way We Were and more!

The Gershwin Era meets the energy and excitement of the Jazz Age with music by George & Ira, Duke Ellington and Harold Arlen with I Got Rhythm, An American in Paris, Strike Up the Band, Stormy Weather and Rhapsody in Blue.

Smart and sophisticated with a charming streak for mischief – Feinstein delves into Porter’s naughty sense of wordplay with Night And Day, Begin The Beguine, Can Can, I Get A Kick Out Of You and Just One Of Those Things.

Grammy and Tony-nominated Michael Cavanaugh, “the new voice of the American Rock and Roll songbook” (Billboard), performs the greatest hits of Sir Elton John with Crocodile Rock, Tiny Dancer, Rocket Man, Benny and the Jets and more with your Pasadena POPS!

A backstage pass celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Wizard Of Oz with original arrangements from the classic score including If I Only Had A Brain, Over the Rainbow and The Cyclone plus That’s Entertainment, Singing In The Rain, The Trolley Song and so much more!
