Oasis Christian Centre lies at the heart of the historic lace making town of Long Eaton. The church is grade II listed and in a designated

area of historic interest.

Due to a thriving congregation and overflowing, daily community activity, we have embarked on a plan to bring us in to the 21st century.

Following a 10 year struggle we have been granted planning permission to demolish the large tin clad hut on our site and build a new

community hub, tastefully connecting it to the church.

We plan to create a building that inspires and enables the growth and enrichment of our church and community. A building that:

1. Is suitable for the 21st century but in a manner sympathetic to the site and the existing buildings.

2. Enables the church to continue to expand and improve its work, worship and service to our community.

3. Is multi functional, allowing for a use, by a range of groups inside and outside the church.

We believe that the new building and work on the grounds will bring about a positive revolution to our site and life as a church in the

community, resulting in a thriving early years and multi use community centre with café area.

‘My God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.’Philippians 4:19

THE STORY SO FAR

OUR VISION

We have spent £50k on phase one of our project, on a major renovation of

the existing brick community rooms and also creating toilets.

We have spent £20k on Architect fees and a planning application for phase

two. This phase will be building and connecting the community hub to the

church and community rooms

Of this second part, we have £110k of a total of £450k, leaving us to find

£340k to complete the project.

We’re actively pursuing grants, but would also welcome Gifts in the form of:

1. One off donations

2. Regular monthly giving

3. A Legacy - leaving the church a sum from your will and estate.
