Naturally, for "inciting ethnic hatred." What kind of inciting ethnic hatredare they talking about? The newspaper, which I personally love and re-read constantly, does not invent any hatred. It operates only with the

facts. And they are: the power in Russia belongs to the Jews. And theyrule in such a way that for every child born of Russian there are ten peopledead.

Did they think that the Russian will die in silence? Those times have gone,

you know. The Prosecutor was unable to silence Vladimir Feodorovichquietly and without fuss. Prosecutor's Office failed to put away the editor-nationalist in jail.

Several Russian scientists stood in his defense such as academic Y.K.Begunov and Doctor of Law O.G. Korotayev. They gave a comprehensiveassessment of his newspaper. Here is what they say, "the prosecution isillegal. There is only propaganda, but not the action, and propagandaaccording to the existing laws is not punishable."

The case was closed due to lack of evidence. But then the court closed thenewspaper. The newspaper was left without the founder. They found"reasons" for this. The City Court of Vologda has declared the Vologda'sbranch of the All-Slavic Council [which founded the paper] as terminatedits activities. No founder - no newspaper. They cooked up a charge thatstates that at the time of trial the newspaper had no charter and contractwith the registering organization. And this is enough according to Article15 of the Law "On mass media" to stop the activities of a newspaper.

The Court, on November 9, 2001 annulled the registration certificate of

the newspaper "Slavyanin". But the court did not stop there. They aretrying to disqualify Vladimir Popov, finding him to be "a disabledperson"[as though he was mentally disabled. This was one of standardcharges against the dissidents during the Soviet rule. So, this is the sameexact trick they used to isolate the dissidents in mental institutions, as aresult of which the entire West had screamed their heads off in theirdefense, morning to night, every day of the week, and for YEARS on. Butwhere is the same West, which keeps shouting about "freedom" and"democracy" now? What about the Human Rights convention that wasused to defend the "prisoners of conscience" during the communist rule

in Russia?].

Moreover, they "sew" him an extreme version of incapacity, in order toappoint a trustee for him. With this diagnosis he will not be able to makea step, or even go out on the street without supervision. We are not eventalking about him returning to his editing position at the newspaper. Andthis is despite the fact that Popov is mentally normal person who has

never been registered with any mental institution and against whom thereexists not a single complaint of any kind.

The declaration of his "incapacity" comes from theprosecutor[apparently acting upon an anonymous complaint].The case,

at the request of invisible prosecutor, is currently in the production of thecourt of Vologda. The Court refuses to accept the Popov's defamation andslander complaint against his detractors. Who ordered this all to these"men of law" in Vologda? Who are these people? Who are they bynationality? Where do they work? This disgraceful process raises anotherquestion: don't these "men of law" take too much upon themselves? Donot they exceed their modest qualifications? How can one attempt tomake an insane man out of sane?

Using the all-trusting nature of Popov, and without any charge, they take

him to unknown destination, ostensibly in the interests of theinvestigation. As a result of this fraud (and in fact violence against theperson[clearly denying his rights]), Vladimir Popov, was subjected to anumber of examinations: allegedly for memory tests and re-forensicpsychiatric examination in the absence of his counsel. By what right? Whoare these officials, who organized all this grand farce and have exceededtheir powers and authority? What are their names? What are theirpositions? None of it was disclosed.

Who is the editor Popov?

And Vladimir Popov is a highly respected man. WWII veteran, whoparticipated in taking Berlin, a retired colonel, holder of several medals ofhighest honor, a graduate of Armored Vehicles Academy, the chairman ofthe All-Slavic Council.

Popov was elected to that office eight times by the general meeting. Thissuggests that he is completely normal and mentally sane. If he wasmentally disabled, he would never be able to edit and publish such a greatnewspaper!

And on what basis is Popov being spied on and followed? By what right?Who gave the order to follow Popov and spy on him? Who are theseofficials, who organized it all and have exceeded their powers andauthority? What are their names? What are their positions?

On the heels of Popov is a vehicle with a label "escort"

On the heels of Popov there is a vehicle labeled "escort" (as those used totransport the prisoners in bulk). This fact is reflected in a writtencomplaint filed by war veterans, logistics, labor, military officers andnuclear physicists in defense of Popov.

Their complaint was sent to the court of Vologda. Nationalists demanddisclosure if the names of those who persecute Popov, but who will give itto them? There is very little information about the process. I do not haveany information on whether it is over, and when had it all started. Suchfacts are not disclosed, they are never shown on TV, in the media or print,and the course of affair is known to very few.

The editors of national newspapers were called to the regionalprosecutor's office

This is done in order to quietly destroy the dissidents unwanted by theregime on the level of small levers of power. I have a couple of dozen ofsuch shameful processes as reported by national publications andnewspapers. It's safe to say one thing: the editors of national newspapershave been called to the regional prosecutor offices, and many of themnumerous times.

Meanwhile, a leader of Union of Jewish Religious Communities, a rabbiand a member of the Moscow Synagogue "B'nai B'rith", Shaevich AdolfSolomonovich, gives speeches on TV.
