• The challenge is encapsulating and over-moulding electronics without causing failure or destruction

• Hard, crystalline polymers do not adhere easily to other substrates

• Crystalline polymers require high shear (high pressure) destroying electronic components and damages cables

• Some soft elastomers can over-mould delicate components however heat dissipation issues can cause in-service failures later
