Eachcampwillofferthesamebasicprogramswiththesameactivities.Thecampfacilitiesdifferslightlyinsizeandlayout,withLittleSiouxhavingalittlemorespacebetweenactivities;CampCedarsoffersafullyindoordininghallwhileLittleSiouxoffersanopenaircoveredpavilion.

STEP2:RegisterforyourWeekendVisitwww.GoCubCamping.organdclickontheblue“FamilyWeekend”buttoninthecenterofthepage.Selectyourweekendfromthatscreenandfollowthesteps.YoumustindicatehowmanyScouts,Adults,andSiblingsareattending.Youwillalsoincludeinformationsuchasage/rank,Packnumber,andanyhealthordietaryneedsyoumighthave.Youwillpayonlineattheendofyourregistration.

STEP3:GetreadyforCamp!Youwillfindahelpfullistofthingstobringtocampontheregistrationpage;otherrecommendeditemsforacampoutcanbefoundinyourCubScout’shandbookoronline.Makesureyoubringatentandsleepingbag!(Don’thaveatent?TalktoyourPackleadershipaboutconnectingyouwithyourlocalBoyScoutTroop.TheTroopusuallyhastentsthatyoucanborrowfortheweekend.Youcanalsorentatentfromcampfor$10.)

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION Housing and Accommodations

CampingwillbedonebyDenorPackifatallpossible.Individualfamiliesattending(withouttheirPackorDen)willbecampedwithCubsfromtheirDistrictarea.Campingwillbedoneinopencampsites,withmealsbeingservedatthedininghall/pavilionateachofourcamps.AllcampersareexpectedtocomplywithBSAYouthProtectionpolicies.

FamiliesMUSTbringtheirowntents.Tentsshouldbe1-4mantentsforeasyfitontentplatformsand/orincampsites.Ifyouhavealargertentforyourfamily,oryouneedtomakespecialsleepingaccommodationspleasecontacttheMid-AmericaCouncil(MAC@scouting.org,Fax402.431.0444,orcall402.431.9BSA)andwewilldoourbesttoaccommodateyourneeds.

MealswillbeprovidedbySummerCampFoodServicecompaniesateachcamp.ThefollowingmealswillbeofferedatourCubFamilyWeekends:

Parking and Vehicles on Camp

Parkingwillbedirectedbystaffwhenyouarrive.PleaseminimizedrivingoncamptoavoidtrafficandkeeptheroadsclearfortheScouts.

Themaximumspeedlimitoncamproadsis5mph.

Nopersonunder18mayoperateamotorvehiclewithinCamp.Roadsbeyondtheparkinglotgatearefortheuseofstaffandauthorized vehiclesonly.One vehicleperunit is allowedpass the gateonly tounloadand load the vehicle.Alloccupantsofatruckmustrideinthecab.Alloccupantsofvehiclesmustwearseatbelts.

ShootingSports

Avarietyofrangeswillbeopen.Onceammunitionrunsout,thatspecificrangewillclose.Thisareawillbeonafirst-come,first-servebasis.AnyonewhowishestoshootMUSTcompleteasafetybriefingofferedateachrange.IfyoudonotlearnandfollowtherulessetoutbytheRangemaster,youwillnotbeallowedtoshoot.

Sports&Games/BounceHouse

TheareanearourGa-GaBallpitwillofferavarietyofgames,relaysandracestospecial“bug”relatedchallenges.WewillalsobeofferingBubbleBallgamesandaninflatablebouncehouse.Specificlocationwillbeavailableatcheck-in.
