A. ADSL WiFi Router Setup

Setting up your ADSL WiFi router at home

Step 1: Plug in the ADSL router• Connect the power adapter to the ADSL router (plug in at point number 1 on the picture):

• Plug in the power adapter to the plug point.

• Switch the router ON (if the lights come on, the router is on).

Step 2: Connect the cablesEthernet cable

• Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to one of the Ethernet ports on the ADSL router (at point number 2 on the picture).

• Connect the other end to the Ethernet port on your laptop, Mac or PC.

Phone cable

• Connect one end of the phone cable to the ADSL router (at point number 3 on the picture).

• Connect the other end to the phone jack on the wall.

Step 3: Setting up your connection• On the laptop, Mac or PC you’re now connected to, open your Internet browser (e.g.

Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari).

• You should see the Zyxel setup page. If you don’t, type http://192.168.1.1 in your browser window to get to this page.

• Type in the following for the username and password:

Username: admin

Password: 1234

You will now be asked to change the password for your router. Please don’t skip this step. If you do, your password will stay as ‘1234’. This is not good for security!

• At the bottom of the screen, click on Network Setting, then choose Broadband.

• In the ADSL Modify column, click on Edit (the pencil icon).

• Click on Apply in the bottom right corner of your screen. You should see a bar showing that the router configuration is in progress.

Step 4: WiFi/Wireless Configuration on DSL router

• Now click on Network Settings on the left panel, then choose Wireless.

• Click on the General tab, then scroll down to the Wireless Network Settings section.

• You can change the name of the Wireless Network Name (SSID) to anything you want, for example, “MyHood”. This will be the name of the wireless network you will connect to.

• Scroll down to Security Level and move the slider to the More Secure position.

• Choose WPA-SK from the Security Mode dropdown menu

• Uncheck the Generate password automatically box

• Delete any characters that may appear in the Password field and enter your own password. Passwords must be eight or more characters and must have numbers and letters.

• Click on Apply and a progress bar will appear.

• Scroll down to the PPP Information settings.

• Enter your allConnect username and password. No other information is needed, so you can leave the other fields as they are.

Congratulations, you have just completed the setup of your ADSL router and you should be able to connect to the Internet!

Step 1: Put the SIM card in the modem• Remove the SIM card and 3G modem from their packaging.

• Open the modem and insert the SIM card. Close the modem.

Step 2: Connect the modem

• Plug the modem into the USB port on your PC, laptop or Mac.

• On Macs: Double click on Huawei Mobile Partner install program.

• On PCs and laptops: Wait for the modem to install, then click on Autorun.exe.

The Huawei Mobile Partner software will be installed on your device.

• Click Next and Finish to complete the installation on your PC.

Step 3: Set up your connection

• Go to your Desktop and double click on the Mobile Partner icon.

• Go to Tools > Options and click on Profile Management.

• Click on New and enter the following information:

• Name: allconnect.is

• APN: Static

• APN: allconnect.is.

• Access number: *99#

• Username: Your allConnect username

• Password: Your allConnect password

B. Huawei 3G USB Dongle Setup

• Click on Advanced (Windows only). Make sure the Authentication Protocol Settings are set to PAP only.

• Click on Save then click on OK.

• Click on Connect. Wait for the modem to establish a connection.

That’s it! You should now be able to connect to any website.

Step 1: Put the SIM card in the modem• Remove the SIM card and 3G modem from their packaging.

• Open the modem and insert the SIM card. Close the modem.

Step 2: Connect the modem• Plug the mini USB cable into the mobile 3G device and plug the other end into any USB

port on your computer.

Step 3: Set up your connection• On the laptop, Mac or PC you’re now connected to, open your Internet browser (e.g.

Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari).

You should see the Zyxel setup page. If you don’t, type http://192.168.1.1 in your browser window to get to this page.

• Enter “admin” (in lowercase) for the username and password:

• Username: admin

• Password: admin

• After logging in, under the column Settings, click on Quick setup.

C. Huawei E5 3G Mobile WiFi Setup

What you’ll need

Setting up your 3G Mobile WiFi

• Set up your profile with the following details:

• Name: allconnect.is

• APN: Static

• APN: allconnect.is.

• Username: Your allConnect username

• Password: Your allConnect password

• Click on Next and then set the connection mode as Auto.

• Click on Next to set up WLAN Settings: SSID.

• You can change the name of the Wireless Network Name (SSID) to anything you want, for example, “MyHood”. This will be the name of the wireless network you will connect to.

• SSID Broadcast should be Enabled

• Click on Next to set up WLAN Wifi Key. Enter the following information:

• 802.11 authentication: WPA-SK

• Encryption mode: AES+TKIP

• WPA Pre-Shared password: [Enter your own password].

• Click on Next to see the configuration Summary.

• Click on Confirm and then Finish.

That’s it! You should now be able to connect wirelessly to the Huawei E5 and browse the Internet.
