PREQUALIFICATION NOTICE

State Bank of India, Local Head office, Chennai, invites applications for pre-qualification of

contractors for a) Civil b) Electrical Works for the proposed construction of State Bank

Learning Centre and MEGA DAC Buildings at Cook’s Road, Perambur, Chennai. The

estimated cost for a) Civil works is Rs 51.00 crores b) Electrical works is Rs 6.60 crores

(approx.). Reputed contractors/firms of long standing having adequate resources and

experience in execution of a) Civil, Sanitary & Water supply works and b) Electrical works of

similar nature and magnitude of at least 80% of the above estimated value in a single contract

(or) Two similar works of each costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the above

estimated cost (or) Three similar completed works of each costing not less than the amount

equal to 40% of the above estimated cost completed in the last (7) seven years. The format

Application should be submitted in sealed cover superscribing with the legend “Proposed

construction of State Bank Learning Centre and MEGA DAC at Cook’s Road, Perambur,

Chennai.”, in the office of the “Asst. General Manager, (P&E), State Bank of India, Local

Head Office, Premises & Estate Dept., 16, College Road, Chennai – 600 006” on or before

15/05/2017 by 3.00 PM. Applications completed in all respects only will be considered for

scrutiny. No further tender notification will be published in the press and issue of tender

forms will be restricted only to those who apply now, provided they are found

suitable/eligible for pre-qualification.

1.0 PREQUALIFICATION NOTICE:

State Bank of India, LHO, Chennai intends to get executed CIVIL/ELECTRICAL

works for their proposed State Bank Learning Centre and Mega DAC Buildings at

Cook’s Road, Perambur, Chennai. The project consist of Pile Foundations, RCC

Framed Structure, including all internal and external amenities to the extent necessary

as per plans and estimates prepared by our Consultants of the project, M/s K S

Ranganath Architecture, Chennai. The purpose of this ‘Pre-qualification Tender

Notice’ application is for selecting suitable Civil contractors and Electrical

Contractors for tendering and executing works as per tender documents. Applications

duly filled in all respects shall be submitted to The Asst. General Manager, (P&E),

State Bank of India, Local Head Office, 16, College Road, Chennai-600 006 on or

before 15th May 2017 by 3.00PM. The Asst. General Manager (P&E), reserves the

right to reject any or all applications for selection, or to accept any application wholly

or in part without assigning any reason thereof.

2.0 ELIGIBILITY OF INTENDING APPLICANTS FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION

class with CPWD, P.W.D.(R&B), M.E.S, Public

Sector, or any other Govt. or Semi-Govt.

having executed the works during last (7) seven

years (Ending 31.03.2017) (a) Three similar

completed works of each costing not less than

the amount equal to 40% of estimated cost (OR)

(b) Two completed works of each costing not

less than amount equal to 50% of the estimated

cost (OR) (c) One completed work consisting not

less than the amount equal to 80% of the

estimated cost.

2.2.a) I.T. Pan Number A Photocopy of PAN Card to be attached to

the application.

2.3 Solvency Banker’s Certificate. (Name & full Address

5.1 Prequalification application ‘Form’ duly filled in all respects along with certified

copies of all the relevant documents attached thereto to each, signed on each page by

the contractor/firm should reach the Asst. General Manager (P&E) before the due

date and time as aforesaid.

5.2 Offers received after the expiry of the specified time and date and incomplete

applications are rejected outright.

5.3 Cost/expenditure incurred by the applicant in making the offer by way of travel,

stationery or in any other manner shall be entirely his.

5.4 In case the applicant intends to give additional information/information for, which

specified space is not sufficient, they may do so by adding extra sheets by indicating

duly at the appropriate column.

5.5 Clarifications on the pre-qualification notice or work could be sought from our

consultants M/s KS Ranganath Architecture, Chennai in writing.

5.6 The applicant should strictly furnish all the information only in the formats

furnished in the pre-qualification notice documents. The applications not complying

with this requirement will be rejected outright.

5.7 All the corrections and overwriting should be duly countersigned by the applicant.

5.8 You are required to enclose the Authorization letter / copy of Power of Attorney in

favour of the person who sign the Pre-qualification application document.
