HISTORY OF A.T. CONSULTANTS
Back in the ‘90s A.T. Consultants started as an Engineering Consulting firm
specializing in the provision of high quality engineering services in
Infrastructure Projects (bridge, tunnels, culverts, walls) and building
design, checking, supervision and technical consultancy to Contractors. The
firm also boasts experience in earthquake engineering and
retrofitting/upgrading of structures such as bridges and buildings.
Over the time A.T. Consultants developed highly multi-disciplined
specialization and shout after capabilities in Project Finance, Programmed
Management, Construction Management and Forensic Analysis.
The company was originally founded in 1997 in Athens Greece as a sole
trader ship and private office, before transforming into the current legal
and organization firm. Today, A.T. Consultants is managed by the President
and C.E.O., Alexandros Tranoulis, MSc Civ. Eng./NTUA Athens. Along the
way, A.T. Consultants associated with George Andrianopoulos, PE,
MSc/NTUA, as part of our strategic goal to acquire Project Finance,
Commercial and Programmed Management capabilities.
During the course of activity, the firm has been involved in the design and
construction of landmark, mega-projects mostly in the EU and the MENA
region. Bridges, tunnels, cut & cover, tanks, buildings, foundations have
been marked with the legacy of our technical expertise and creative
excellence in a combination of planning, design, engineering, and program
management capabilities to a broad range of markets. Our adaptable and
flexible approach to projects delivers consistency, longevity and high
quality along with efficiencies in cost and time. One of our most recent
achievements is the participation in Jahra Road & Jamal Abdul Nasser
Projects which have been completed with segmental construction bridges,
cantilever bridges, and span by span bridges in Kuwait.

project management consultants, drafts technicians and administrative
staff able to fulfill Client’s requirement in the field of design, consultancy
and project supervision in both private and public sector. A.T. Consultants

OUR WELL-FOUNDED AMBITION
Supporters of the idea of seeking new challenges in the field of modern
structural Engineering & Project Management and keen followers of all
international specifications, A.T. Consultants are available to offer high quality
services.. Besides, the firm has also acquired experience in Bridge
Maintenance, due to our contribution in engineering design for replacing
bearing supports by means of bridge uplift.
As part of our services, A.T. Consultants have carried out a number of designs
for bridge upgrading with the use of new anti-seismic devices in order to
withstand the impact of even greater seismic activity. We have carried out
several designs of reinforcement concrete bridges, as well as designs of pre-
stressed concrete bridges in Greece and Abroad.
The firm has gained experience of the construction with mechanical ways of
long bridges like precast pre-stressed segmental balance cantilever, precast
pre-stressed segmental span by span and cast in situ pre-stressed bridges. Our
involvement in the design of Athens Metro, Thessaloniki Metro and also in a
number of road and railway Tunnels and Cut&Covers Structure, gave to us
great experience in the Structural Design of Underground Structures.
Last, but not least, A.T. Consultants have carried out a number of Independent
Third Party Check for the Design and Construction Supervision of Bridge
Projects in Greece and Abroad. A lot of them are for existing structures that
had been originally designed with the old Codes for Bridges (DIN) and then
required to comply with the Eurocodes and the American Code (AASHTO).

The role of project management is to deliver
projects through the effective management of all briefing, design, cost, programme,
procurement and construction processes. We adopt a planned, organised and controlled

Our project managers are chosen for their ability to combine both, using personal,
technical and professional skills to respond to every aspect of project delivery.
The Project Manager shall have overall responsibility to ensure that the project is delivered on time
and within budget, they will also remain accountable for the project progress and delivery.
Our approach allows us to control and deliver projects to cost and on programme,

returns. This expertise spans all phases of project development, from front-end
development appraisal, feasibility and conceptual studies, as well as managing the detailed

The A.T. Consultant project manager, with assistance from the quantity surveying team, will ensure
that all stakeholders buy-in to the process which records changes to scope on design
principles, the reasons for the change and the authority to accept and sign off this change.
Communications play their part in disseminating information on cost and the project management
team will report the developing cost plan in regular monthly reports. These reports will
include the initial cost plan, authorised variations and changes and financial risks, together
with forecast and spread of spend.
Documentation
A.T. Consultants will seek to implement a rigorous document control procedure to ensure that those
personnel requiring access to project documents will have the most up-to-date revisions
and are aware of the document control process.
The procedures adopted on any project are in compliance with our quality management system and
relevant international standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for reviewing all
contract documentation and assessing any further information required to complete the
project.
The procedures and methodology will be project specific according to the Client’s
organisational requirements and Consultants already appointed.
Procurement
The selection of the Contractor is a critical element of any project, taking into account technical
expertise, available resource and senior personnel, local reputation and financial
strength. We undertake a rigorous pre-selection process to identify the right contractors
to tender for each project, and subsequently carry out a robust post tender assessment to
ensure the right decision is made.
Construction and Inspection
Contract administration is integral to our delivery of project management services, and provides our
clients with a specific role in managing and administering the construction contract.
