Frank Petrone was a pillar of leadership and vision within our community and a dedicated Rotarian for 43 years. Frank moved to Cranberry Twp. in 1960 and remained a
township resident until his passing in October 2013. For over 40 years Frank was a vital and active member of our community and Rotary; serving as a Township Supervisor and Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for six years and served on many other township and community boards, commissions and panels. Frank was instrumental in establishing our U.S. Postal Service in Cranberry Twp. He was a founding member of our Sunrise Rotary club and a charter member of the Cranberry Rotary. Without Frank’s stewardship it is doubtful our club would have ever been formed. Frank was a consummate Rotarian and dedicated himself to the primary ideal of Rotary… ”Service above Self”. He was the rock of our club and remained active and involved, rarely missing a meeting right up until his passing. Frank will be missed… never forgotten. This wonderful day of fellowship, dedicated to benefit a worthy cause and further promote the ideals and values of Rotary is in honor of his memory.
