Organize a mandatory seminar for ASU students to learn about drinking responsibly
Inform about Tempe DUI laws and statistics at the beginning of every school year
Increase the number of DUI checkpoints year-round
Provide a safe-ride taxi service for students
Several universities currently use similar programs to get their students home safe and ALIVE
A safe-ride taxi program will allow students to pay a discounted rate on a cab by showing their Sun Card
The cost is covered at the time of the ride
When a student is low on cash and in a bind they can still get home without operating a
vehicle
The discounted amount is billed to the students ASU account
Do safe-ride programs promote heavy drinking?
