oMercury is the very first planet to the SunoIt is an inner rocky planet that has no atmosphere oBecause it has no atmosphere, it is not the hottest planet.

Venus

oVenus is the 2nd planet in the Solar SystemoThis is actually the hottest planet

Earth

oEarth is the 3rd planet oIt is by far the only planet that supports lifeoSome scientists believe that Luna (the Earth’s moon) was a piece of Earth oThere are about eight layers of its atmosphereoIt rotates faster when it’s near the Sun

oThe Asteroid Belt separates the inner planets and the outer planetsoAsteroids are made of rock-like material that are pulled in due to the Sun’s gravitational pull

Jupiter

oJupiter is the 5th planet and the 1st of the outer planetsoIt has 63 moons. It has the most moonsoIt rotates very fastoIt is 71% of all planetary mass in the Solar SystemoIt has very unique wind patterns

Saturn

oSaturn is the 6th planet from the Sun and has a huge magnetic fieldoIt is the 2nd planet with the most moonsoIt has a strange bulge in the middle and flattened polesoThis planet consists of a liquid metallic hydrogen core

Uranus

oNow we have Uranus, the 7th planetoThis planet has 13 rings; two in which are very faroIt is the third largest in diameter oIt takes 84 Earth years to revolve around the Suno Some scientist believe that Uranus used to rotate horizontally, but perhaps an asteroid hit it, causing it to tilt
