Educate 2011-2012 Assigning a Task After you create a task, you need to assign it to a group of students. You can choose to assign it to student in one class or group or to students in multiple classes and groups. Single class Multiple classes Do you want to assign a task that you created earlier? How about a task that another teacher has created? You can search the Resource Database from the home screen to find and assign previously created tasks or units. It is a great timesaver if the task has already been created or if you find a coworker to partner with and share the workload. Step 1- Clicking either of these arrows will bring up a window that will allow you to select one or many classes and groups to add the task to. Single Class Step 2 - Enter a Task Abbreviated Name for this task (it can be the same as when you created it). Step 3 - Organize the task into a folder if desired Step 4 - Enter an Assign On and Due On date. Step 5 - Educate will automatically determine which student need to be assigned this task based on their current proficiency level. Each student who will be assigned the task will be checked. A teacher can override these assignments by checking or un-checking a student’s name. Step 6 - Click the red Save button. Multiple Classes Step 2 - Enter a Short Name for this task. Step 3 – Select the Classes or Groups to assign the activity. Step 4 - Enter an Assign Date and Due Date. Step 5 - Click the red Save button.
