Assigning the Test via My Test/Test Bank
• If you are assigning MC Online Tests, you should click Test Bank.
• If you are assigning tests you have created, you should click My Tests.
• The assignment steps for both types of test are the same.
Note
• Tests you have created are mobile-device ready. Most MC Online tests are
not mobile-device capable.

Assigning the Test via My Test/Test Bank
1. Click on the checkbox next to the
test you are assigning.
2. A row of action buttons will
appear. Click on Assign. This will
bring you to the Assignment page.
Note
• You can assign more than one test at
a time, up to a maximum of 5 test after
which the Assign button will
disappear.
• Checking more than one test will
cause certain action buttons to
disappear as these actions are not
applicable.
• You Assign to students, and Share
with teachers.

Assignment Settings
3. Click on the checkbox for the class
you want to assign the test. Make
sure you click on the “+” symbol to
expand to list or you will be assigning
to an entire level!
Note
• You can assign to individual students by
clicking on the checkbox next to the
student’s name. If you need to do this
many times over the course of the
semester, it may be better to place those
students into a virtual class group.
• Any groups that you create will be listed in
My Groups.
• School and Form Groups are pre-
populated by an administrator.

Test Settings – Start/End Date and Time, Set Duration
4. Set the Start Date for the test by clicking
on the date box.
5. Set the Start Time for the test by
selecting via the drop-down list.
6. Set the End Date and End Time for the
test. This is done the same way for Start
Date and Time as well.
7. Set the Duration of the test by clicking
on the checkbox and selecting from the
drop-down list that appears.
Note
• When you set a duration and have the test
assigned, the student will see a timer on the
top-right showing how much time has elapsed
since they started.

Test Settings – No. of Attempts, Question Order &
Release of Results
8. Set the No. of Attempts the student can
take the test. The options are One or
Multiple times.
9. Set the Question Order so that the
questions appear sequentially (as when
you have ordered the test questions during
creation), or appear randomly.
10.Set the Release of Results as indicated in
the screenshot.
Note
• For Multiple attempts, the first, last and best
submissions are recorded.
• If Multiple attempts is selected, results can only
be released manually by the teacher or released
after the test has ended.

Notification Settings
11.Checking on Send Notification via
Mobile App allows the teacher to
notify the student’s parents about the
test using MCO Connect App.
12.Click the “+” symbol to expand the list
of Groups. You add teachers in your
school to help assist in monitoring the
test by clicking on the checkbox
against their name.
13.Click Save.

14.You can review your Assignment Settings from the Assignment Summary
dialog that appears.
15.Click Proceed to Assign if the assignment settings are correctly, otherwise
you can click Edit Assign Settings to make changes.
16.A “Test has been successfully assigned.” dialog will appear. Click OK.

Un-assigning the Test
1. Go back to My Test.
2. Under the Assignment Status column, click on Started.
3. A popup modal dialog will appear. Click on Edit Assignment.

• You can also click on the checkbox, then click on the Assign button.

4. This will bring you back to the
Assignment page.
5. Click the UnAssign All Classes
button.
6. This will bring up a Warning! dialog.
You have to click on the checkbox to
confirm you have read the warning
message before you can click on the
Continue button.

Un-assigning the Test
7. This will bring you another dialog that
request you Verify Password.
8. Type your MC Online Portal Account
Password into the Password box.
9. Click Submit.
10.The last dialog box will notify you that
the test has been unassigned.
11.Click OK to proceed.
12.You will be brought back to the My
Test page where you can see that the
test has been unassigned.
