THE FUNCTION OF A MUSIC VIDEO:The function of a music video is to make sure that the audience remember the song. Secondly, to provide the audience with a greater understanding of the song either through performance or narrative. Thirdly, to entertain the audience by identifying the artists talents. Furthermore, it should give the audience visual pleasures. Finally, to educate, shock or express themselves – this will only count for certain artists or music videos.

LITTLE MIX - WINGS

This is a memorable music video as it has a repeated image of the four girls in a split screen which occurs several different times throughout the music video. The lyrics of the chorus “wings are meant to fly” which gives the audience the idea that they’re trying to escape and become their own person. All members of the groups have a lot of talents as they can all sing very well but the half cast member of the group is a very good dancer, all members of the group can dance it’s just that the half cast member always stands out in most of the shots.
