VERITAS’ highly experienced team of Engineers and Inspectors collectively offer over 50 years of QC and inspection services experience to our Clients. VERITAS' personnel have a diverse range of skills and experience generated from a variety of backgrounds and industries - this enables us to provide specific, informed, independent and reliable cross-industry advice and to form holistic perspectives that can add significant value to VERITAS' clients.

Asset Inspection and Project Superintending

VERITAS’ Asset Inspection and Project Superintending & Assurance Services provides its clients with support and additional capacity to effectively deliver their projects on an as required basis. This service provides a cost effective means of deploying highly experienced and qualified Engineers and Inspectors to assist Asset Owners, Directors, Managers and Superintendents with additional resources to supplement and augment their own personnel.

VERITAS’ Asset Inspection & Project Superintending:

• Undertake independent inspections, verification & validations services;

• Coordinate with Managers and Superintendents on engineering, temporary works, scheduling and status of projects;

• Provide overall progress reports and other reports related to schedule and cost as required by Project Directors;

• Provide general technical and quality assurance assistance to supervisory personnel;

• Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel;

• Prepare reports on progress, manpower and costs and coordinate the work scheduling and procurement;

• Undertake project QA activities on sub-contractors and suppliers;

• Act as an Independent Witness for clients (inwards goods, testing, sampling etc);

• Provide Quality Assurance services; and

• Undertake Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (Drone) based services.

VERITAS can also assist with the management of risks associated with asset condition, provide financial advice and lifecycle costings from the inspection data and data analysis to deliver a full range of services to meet the needs of and expectations of informed clients.

RPAS Inspection Services

VERITAS has highly knowledgeable and experienced team in the use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) technologies. In offering RPAS inspection services and drone technology to its clients, VERITAS provides increased safety, reduced risk, operational cost savings, improved quality, increased efficiency and improved accessibility. Furthermore, by providing permanent video and photographic data, our clients can review the collected information any time, any place, anywhere.

RPAS technology can be used for various activities including:

• Surveying;

• Inspections;

• In-works progress;

• Asset Management;

• Project scoping;

• Incident investigations;

• Promotional activities, etc.

Past Asset Inspection and Superintending Services Projects

The following are examples of initiatives and projects that our personnel have previously successfully delivered:

• TfNSW Maintenance Assurance Program - Provision of Maintenance Program Assurance Services to Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW)of key maintenance service providers:

o Sydney Trains Electric Fleet & Maintenance Depots;

o NSW TrainLink (Regional Rail) Diesel Fleet & Maintenance Depots;

o Country Regional Network.

• Sydney Airport International Terminal Extension - Provision of Program Assurance Services to the Sydney Airport Corporation Limited (SACL) Management Board for the delivery of Sydney's Kingsford Smith Airport major extension to T1 Sydney International Terminal.

• AGL Construction & Generation - Provision of Program Assurance Services to the AGL Limited's Risk Committee for the delivery of their Capital Program that included the following projects:

o Construction of Bogong Hydroelectric Power Station - 140MW (VIC);

o Generator upgrade for W. Kiewa Hydroelectric Power Station - 62MW (VIC);

o Maintenance of McKay Creek Hydroelectric Power Station - 150MW (VIC); and

o Commissioning of Hallet Wind Farm - 45 turbines totalling 95MW (SA).

• Babcock & Brown Power - Provision of assurance services to the B&B Power Board of Directors for the delivery of their asset management program that included:

o Commissioning of Braemar No 2 Power Station - 450MW (Qld);

o Shutdown overhaul of Newport Power Station - 51 0MW (VIC);

o Control Room upgrade of Northern Power Station - 520MW (SA); and

o Review of maintenance planning Redbank Power Station - 151 MW (NSW).

• VIC Level Crossing Program Review - Review of the Level Crossing Upgrade Program for the Department of Transport (VIC) to assess and confirm the Value for Money proposition that was delivered following instruction by the Auditor General (VIC).

• Project Assurance Services (PAS) - focusing on civil construction, coal processing plants, power station & boiler maintenance shutdowns and heavy engineering projects for:

o Leightons Construction (now CBP Constructions);

o Lend Lease;
