What is EDGE?

EDGE is a easy to use secure web based ordering system that enables you to place orders directly into the factory

Conveniently access stock and production order forms for doors, frames and parts on the same view

Easily add elevations and attachments to your order

EDGE will validate fire labels and missing information for an improved ordering experience faster processing lead times

How to Access EDGE

Convenient single sign on from ASSA ABLOY Connect

Click the Online Order tab and choose Electronic Door Group Engineering (EDGE)

No other passwords or login information is needed

How to Use EDGE

Master Projects

DOT StatusProject

Houses all Open Projects that are being built with the intent of sending to Curries for manufacturing

Provides a historical view of all the projects that have been placed into the factory for manufacturing

A personal filing cabinet to keep Open Projects organized

• To start a new project, click Add Project button

• To see a list of all Open Projects, click the Load All Projects icon

• To open a project, simply click on the project line

• Purge open projects from this view by clicking the trash can icon on the right

• Fill out all yellow highlighted information in Order Header section

• For jobsite deliveries, click Ship to Jobsite button to get all appropriate Delivery Contact fields

• Enter your name in the By field, located at the bottom of the EDGE form

• Auto Copy Previous Line allows you to copy options from previous line into a new line – works great for small changes such as handing when keeping other information the same

• Highlight Printed Order will highlight any items on the Print/ Preview that will require further action from Currie’s Order Management team

Lines with green and white check marks next to the Line # = ClearNo further action needed on part of the user

Lines with orange cones next to the Line # = WarningUsers can review the lines in orange to check for highlighted issues and address as neededLines can still be submitted

Lines with red circles next to Line # = Critical WarningUsers can review the lines in red to check for highlighted issues and address as neededLines CANNOT still be submitted until the critical area(s) have been addressed

• Upload File: Click this button to attach sketches, templates, e-mails etc to the form. All items attached will come over with the forms when sent

• Save: Click this button to save a copy of the form in its current state before exiting the form

• Send: Click this button to submit the forms to the factory for manufacturing

• Print/ Preview: Click this button to review order forms or to print a hard copy of the forms to check before sending to the factory for manufacturing. The forms seen in this view will be what Curries receives

• Click the Send button when ready to DOT to Curries

• EDGE will automatically select the Order Types

• Select Send Order with Duplicate PO Number to check for any duplicate DOT’s before clicking Send Now button

• Enter E-Mail Address so that Curries knows who to contact should there be any order questions

• Order Typeo MD = Manufactured Doorso MF = Manufactured Frames

• EDGE provides instant Curries Sales Order Confirmation upon DOT and that number can also be found under the Order Number column. All Sales orders will start with the letter “X”.

• Click PDF link under Order Doc column to retrieve a copy of your EDGE production order form

• Use ASSA ABLOY Connect to get status on this as well as all ASSA branded purchases

• Great for larger contracts that you may have multiple open projects created

• Double click on a Master Project to filter all open projects that are available

Line item validations that explain what is needed to complete the order without problems.

Easily add elevations, drawings or other attachments to the order (separate emails no longer required).

Conveniently view door and frame order information on the same screen in single line format.

All hardware information including special instructions can be entered together on each line item for easy order entry and review.

All products including stock, standard, custom and specialty can be ordered on EDGE.

Name, organize and sort orders the way you want for quick reference using Master Projects tool.

Search order history using the DOT Status and find projects that you have placed direct into the factory.

Orders that fully validate (all green check marks and no orange fields) receive a direct order transfer lead time advantage.
