ASNT Research Symposium is one of the premier platforms for exchanging information on groundbreaking, trending and emerging research, technology transfer and engineering practices in the field of nondestructive evaluation (NDE). During the Symposium, you will have numerous opportunities to explore, discuss and share your experiences on cutting edge NDE technologies—from research level to real-world application.

The theme for 2020 Research Symposium is “Advancing NDE Technologies, Research and Engineering in a Changing World” and will address key research, development and innovation of advancing NDE technologies and bridge gaps in NDE research, engineering and technology transfer. This year the

POSTER SESSION COMPETITION SUBMISSION Deadline for submitting abstract of poster presentation: January 10, 2020Notification of acceptance: January 24, 2020Deadline for submitting the full poster: February 14, 2020Poster Session Day: Tuesday, March 24, 2020

The ASNT Research Symposium 2020 invites all students to participate in a technical poster competition event as part the symposium, being held on March 23-26, 2020 at Williamsburg Lodge, Williamsburg, VA.

Students are encouraged to submit a proposal for inclusion in a two hour Poster Session to be held on

Tuesday, 24 March, 2020. Posters are to be printed, conference style, for presentation.

Poster presenters must be on hand during the session to discuss posters and answer questions.

POSTER CONTENT: • Abstract (required): an overview of the research presented in the poster including the purpose and goals on the study should be included.

• Background (required): any background and motivation behind the study needs to be described

• Methodology (required): a summary of the contribution, methodology and results should be explained clearly in this section.

• Discussion (optional/recommended): any debate regarding the presented study in relationship to similar research.

• Future Work (optional/recommended): describe remaining work and potential future studies to complete the presented research.

• References (required): list all related references and emails of the authors.
