Pictured below are automotive students Jessica and Tammee working with the car donated by Craig and Bill. The wind tunnel shown above is being designed and built by Bruce Whittaker with the help of Michael Courts in Technology. The Wind Tunnel will allow the students in Yr 9/10 Cads and Cams unit working on the miniature F1 racing car designs, to test their balsa wood models. A special thank you must go to Ray Kandell and family for donating the stainless steel fan housing and motor. Ray also supplied a speed control converter so the students can test under various speed conditions. We are now looking for a fog / smoke machine to complete the project. Any help or assistance from other parents with contacts would be greatly appreciated. Look for more photos in following newsletters as this exciting project develops. Pat taught me how to solder better. I already knew how to solder because I have made lead lights before. Soldering with smaller solder and a smaller soldering iron is a lot different than with lead lights. I have learnt a lot with Pat. Tech is the best!!” Sarah McAloon “Tech has been the ‘funnest’ subject. Part has taught us so many fun things like how to solder and he has helped us on the computers with Tricad. Everyone in 7.3 agrees that Pat is a great teacher. He is always happy and cheerful. We have been doing the egg lifter which is going great. We have just finished the drawing on the computer.” Rebecca Gambling Compressor For Sale The school is selling an Industrial compressor 7.5 hp $2500 ONO please con- tact the school ask for Michael Courts at the college 94381411
