The Protein Ingredients; Ground Beef Most supermarkets sell 3 grades of ground beef:

ground extra-lean , which is 7% fat

ground chuck which is 34% fat

and regular cheap ground beef which is 46% fat

If use 2/3 to 3/4 of the extra-lean product and the rest the ground chuck, you will supply your dog with a diet that contains meat with adequate fat and no added fat will be needed.

If you are preparing an extra-low fat diet, use only the extra-lean product or leaner.


The Protein Ingredients; Ground Turkey Ground turkey is sold in three grades
