The Galician industry has contributed to both onsho-re and offshore Oil& Gas projects E&P projects worldwide supplying engineering, Floating Produc-tion Systems, drilling units, supply ships and indus-trial process modules among others
The experience in offshore units developed throu-ghout the years, together with the necessary tech-nological skills and a privileged geographical posi-tion, make the companies in the region good candi-date suppliers for this Industry.
In Galicia there are five large port facilities with the potential of developing optimal global strategies for the Oil & Gas sector.
The Galician yards have the facilities for new builds and conversions of ships for:
• Exploration (Seismic vessels)• Drilling (Drillships and Semi sub platforms)• Installation, and maintenance (heavy lift, crane and vessels, cable and pipe layers, anchor handling vessels, offshore tugs, accommodation vessels, Supply Ships, etc)• Production (FPSO, Extended Well Test & Early Production vessels), etc.
The added value of the above products create jobs and wealth in the region.
El sector metalúrgico gallego ha participado en proyectos onshore y offshore de exploración y producción de petróleo y gas en todo el mundo mediante el suministro de ingeniería, plataformas petrolíferas, drillships, buques de apoyo y módulos de proceso, entre otros.
La experiencia en artefactos para trabajar en alta mar desarrollada a lo largo de los años, junto con un elevado nivel tecnológico y una posición geográfica privilegiada, hacen que las empresas de la región puedan jugar un papel clave como proveedores de esta industria.
En Galicia existen cinco grandes infraestructuras portua-rias, que permiten desarrollar una estrategia global óptima para el sector del oil & gas.
Los astilleros gallegos cuentan con instalaciones para la nueva construcción y/o conversión de buques para:
