Sub: Fitment trial of dual flush valve of mls MARC and Ess Ess make at NER depot in AC2T coach no. NE14058.

Ref: This office letter of even no. Dated 24.10.2017

In reference to above referred letter, the frtment trial of dual flush valve (3 I 6 liter) of MIs MARC model no. MAC 3080 was carried out on 25.10.2017 in one lavatory of GSCN coach No.15206 of Rake No.1 of Train No. 12533/2534 at NER Coaching Depot to see the efficacy of the flush valve in Non-Ac coaches.

Similarly, fitment of dual flush valve (3/6 liter) of MIs MARC model no. MAC 3080 and ESS ESS model no. E251D have been done in one lavatory each in AC2T coach no. NE14058 Rake No.2 of Train No. 12533/2534 at NER Coaching Depot by removing existing flush valve and retro-fitment of dual flush valve.

Since 25 mm NB pipe is being used in flush water line in AC & Non-AC coaches and flush valves provided are of 32 bore size outlets, suitable reducer fittings at both ends were additionally required during fitment and a 3 inch piece of 25 mm bore threaded pipe to adjust the fitting at same location were also required in AC Coach.

Demonstration of the working of dual flush valve for metered quantity flush of water (set at reduced level of 2 I 4 liter) by a single press has been done by respective representatives during the visit of EDSC at NER depot Effica-sy_of both flush valves of MIs Marc & MIs ESS ESS was found-t&-be-working satisfactory . . Put up for kind perusal and further instruction please.
