I Collect any three or four bills of restaurants or shops you visit in the summer vacation, stick

them in an A-4 sheet and add the total amount of all the bills.

II Make a multiplication chart, and write the tables of any 2 numbers (2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ) and

learn all the multiplication tables from 2-6.

III Shapes are all around us. Write the names of all 2-D and 3-D shapes you learnt in school,

and draw or paste a picture of any real object of the same shape that you see around you in

an A4 size paper.

VII Solve the following word problems:

ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

I Choose a day to visit a restaurant or snack bar, ask for your favorite meal or snack. Ask the

chef which plant food type is included in this snack or meal – vegetable, fruits, cereals, pulses,

nuts and spies used to prepare the snack. Fill the below table with the name of the plant food

item. An example is given for your reference.

Come home and write them down in the table given below.

II The students will prepare a flip chart on 5 sense organs and 5 internal organs with their

functions. The body part should have a flip and when you open the flip, the main function of

that body part should be written/ printed. Sample flip charts are attached below for their

reference.

III Make a GARDEN in your house (balcony) in order to reduce global warming.

How to make the garden?

Take waste / old containers (e.g. bottles, jars, pots).

Colour them nicely and convert them into planters.

Grow plants in these planters. Water them every day and watch them grow.

How to show?

Create a scrap book with the pictures to show the growth of the plant from week 1 to week 8.

You can get ideas from the picture!

holidays reading interesting stories. Write one good thing you learnt from each story and make a

list of proper nouns, common nouns and describing words on a train made out of empty match

boxes/pictures/sketch (Eg. Aesop's fables, Grimm's Fairy tales, Moral stories, Jataka tales etc.)
