A Time of Un-arguable improvement

Harutoma Otori - An Editorial

Emperor Meiji saved our civilization from a catastrophic destruction over 10 years ago. In honor of this event,

The Meiji Restoration has been very kind to us over the years. It evolved society, and erased old mannerisms of society that were quite unpleasant.

To thank for the Restoration, we have our Emperor Meiji. Through his will, we have a great society today. His thoughts and opinions have shaped Japan so that it is a great country worthy of its name.

Many many years ago, the westerners came here and we were but a barbaric culture that could barely keep itself together.

But now we’re a powerful nation to be reckoned with. A nation that’s power should not be underestimated.

As this is all thanks to Emperor Meiji, should there not be a holiday on his day of birth?

THE ECONOMIC CRASHHamutra Otonaga

New studies have shown that the American system of banking that was originally used by the Japanese government were flawed and non-workable in Japanese society.

Originally, it was believed that the American’s banking plan failed due to the vast amount of economic strain on Japan at the time.

After the American model failed to show any results, the Japanese government switched to an European model. The European model had surprising results, and combined with the new land tax, it promoted Japan into a period of economic growth.

This period of economic growth brought about the many things that Japan is thankful for everyday. For example the Zaibatsu companies, and modern communication.

If it wasn’t for the European model of banking, it is safe to say that Japan would be in serious economic strife. Millions in debt, and no ways of escape.

Mozakana Zatsura Emperor Meiji made a

public appearance yesterday at Kyoto hall, and answered so many of the questions that people have been wondering about.

Emperor Meiji has constantly been a beacon of light and advancement for all of Japan. His policies and thoughts have helped to pull Japan through into the next generation of life. But where did he get the inspiration for his ideas?

“I acquired most of the ideals for my policies from the western governments of the world” stated the Emperor. “I learned from the mistakes of the foreigners, however, and only use the policies that will benefit Japan as a country.”

The nest question was about the economic situation that Japan was facing. “The government officials and myself are already working on this non stop. We have a course of action, but we need more financial backing and a little more time before we can launch.”

Throughout the entire interview he retained his calm and collected manner, and was able to answer every question given. His cool and collected composure has lead people to believe that Japan is ready for anything, and with the results of this interview this might be true.
