Groundwater Monitoring Report Streamlining Techniques
SRS submits approximately 30 groundwater reports on a yearly basis to regulatorsand the public. Some cover vast areas and include hundreds of groundwater wellsand thousands of analytical results to compile and present in a concise andinformative way. Groundwater monitoring report components including color codeddata charts, time-series plots, hydrographs, and analytical and field result labels tobe used in planar maps and cross-sections have been automated using customdesigned graphical interface tools called GRIP (Groundwater Report InformationProcessor) tools. Doing so has greatly reduced the amount of time and cost ofproducing reports, improved data interpretation, reduced errors, and ensured aconsistent and reproducible product.
