PUBLIC HOUSING WINDOWS BIDS

The Ashland County Housing Authority is now receiving bids to install windows in (2) apartment buildings: 10 unit located at 147 Zach Street, Glidden, WI and 20 unit located at 237 East Main Street, Butternut, WI.

Please call the Ashland County Housing Authority at 715-274-8311 to receive a copy of the specifications. Sealed bids will be accepted at our office located at P.O. Box 349, 124 Wilderness Drive, Mellen, WI 54546 until March 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.

Contractor must carry General Liability and Workers Compensation Insurance, have a Federal ID Number. Ashland County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Contractor must follow Davis Bacon Wage Rates

Windows requirements:

1. Energy Star Rated2. Lift out-Vinyl Slide Window-(Color Almond)3. Foam Insulation placed around all windows 4. Half Fiberglass Screen5. Window must be “almond” color to match outside existing brick6. If needed, fill in above windows with metal trim to match window7. 2 ¼” Colonial-Prefinished Almond sealed interior wood trim on each window8. Extended jamb needed 9 ½ “overall wall depth

Estimate must include all material and labor for complete installation. Window sizes are only estimates, contractor is responsible for measuring and ordering the correct window sizes.

All work and materials must meet or exceed all state and local codes. Only good quality materials and workmanship will be acceptable. Contractor is responsible for disposing of all the old windows and related debris at an approved disposal site. No changes or additions may be made to the scope of work or specifications without prior written consent of Ashland County Housing Authority.
