Space Nation of Asgardia

• Asgardia is a free and unified Space Nation.

• The objectives of Asgardia are:– To ensure peace in space;– To ensure equal opportunities in  space for

all Asgardians, currently residing on  Earth, regardless of their Earthly citizenship;

– To ensure the  protection of the  entire humankind.

• Anyone can become a citizen of Asgardia, conditional on assenting to the Declaration, and abiding by the  Constitution and the  legislation of Asgardia.

• All citizens of Asgardia are equal, irrespective of their Earthly country of origin, residence, citizenship, race, nationality, gender, religion, language, financial standing.

• Asgardia respects the laws of and international treaties concluded by the  Earth’s States, and wishes to be recognised as having equal status as the Earth’s States.

• Asgardia does not interfere in  any affairs of the Earth’s States based on reciprocity.

• Asgardia participates in  the global events on  Earth, similar to the  Earth’s States, based on its membership in the respective international organisations.

• Asgardia respects, complies with the  rights of citizens of the  Earth’s States, and protects Asgardia’s citizens in  the exceptional nature of their space citizenship.

• Asgardia has no place for political parties. However, every Asgardian can freely participate in the political life on Earth.

• Asgardia mirrors the  Earth without reflecting Earthly borders. Nevertheless, in the framework of Earthly laws, every Asgardian can freely live within the borders of any Earth State.

• Asgardia is  a nation of free spirit, science, internationalism. However, Every Asgardian can freely practice any religion of the  Earth in Asgardia.

• There is no place for the history of Earthly conflicts in Asgardia. Asgardia creates a new peaceful history of the future space humankind.

WITH ASGARDIA!

BEGINNING On 12 October 2016, at a press conference in Paris, Igor Ashurbeyli, a distinguished aerospace scientist, visionary and philanthropist, announced the creation of Asgardia, the first space nation in the history of humanity.

CONSTITUTION Creation of the Constitution is a significant milestone in the history of a new Space Nation. Referendum on  it’s approval began on  18 June 2017, a date which was later declared as Asgardian public holiday: National Unity Day. On 9 September 2017 Dr. Igor Ashurbeyli approved the  results of the  vote on  Asgardia’s Constitution. 72.5 % of Asgardians voted in  favour of the proposed Constitution. In accordance with Article 32 of the Constitution of Asgardia, on 10 September 2017, by Decree No.10, Igor Ashurbeyli officially assumed the position of Head of Nation. The Constitution later became the foundation for parliamentary elections in Asgardia and for the formation of the government.

INAUGURATIONOn 25 June 2018, at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Igor Ashurbeyli was inaugurated asthe  Head of Nation. The  official ceremony was attended by about 500 guests from more than 50 countries, ambassadors, representatives of a number of the largest non governmental organisations, recently elected Members of Parliament of Asgardia, astronauts, space industry leaders, scientists, international lawyers and media representatives from all over the world.

We, the people of Asgardia, will do everything for the prosperity of our new space nation created by us; for the safeguarding of our motherland – planet Earth; and the development of the entire

humankind in space. We are not the best, we are the future. One humanity – one unity.

This Declaration is a primary document for the creation of ASGARDIA. It was proposed forpublic discussion on March 27, 2017 by Decree No.4, and had been adopted by referendum

held from 18 June to 9 September 2017, as a part of Constitution.

Asgardia began with selecting the nation’s name. In ancient mythology, Asgard is a dwelling place of the gods, the celestial home of dreams.

The concept of Space "Noah's" Ark, as the savior of human race and entire terrestrial gene pool, formed the basis of Asgardian scientific researches and paradigm of Asgardia space infrastructure.

MISSION

The birth of the first Space Child on the Noah’s Space Ark is the main mission of Asgardia. The implementation of this mission will create the basis for reproduction of human population in space. The emblem of our mission is a schematic representation of a space ark with a newborn baby (space child) on board, where cosmic radiation protection and artificial gravity are provided.

Bright yellow circle in the center is the Sun, positioned against the back-ground of the blue sky.

Nine yellow orbits symbolise the nineplanets of our solar system.

Three white external orbits symbol-izes the infinity of humanity's new discoveries in space that are yet to be made, and the role of Asgardia in creating such a future.

The  golden circle at  the base is  the Sun, the  center of our Solar System, the  foundation for growth and prosperity of all Asgardians from all Earthly countries. In center is an ancient image of the "divine" flower of life, the symbol of Asgardia. Encircling it the motto of Asgardia: One Humanity  – One Unity. The  motto surrounded by 12 petals that are equal in size and evenly distributed, signifying the  equality of all the  official languages of Asgardia. The coat of arms has a crown on top as symbol constitutional monarchy.

ASGARDIA IN SPACE

On  12 November 2017, the  Asgardia-1 satellite was successfully launched from the Wallops flight facility (Virginia, USA). Thus, Asgardia officially obtained its first

territory in space.

ASGARDIA ON EARTH

We are a Space Nation, but we reside on Earth. Asgardia don’t see Earthly borders and don’t create borders in space. A unique map of Asgardia shows the location of Asgardians on planet Earth. The map shows Earthly cities with the number of Asgardians residing in each of them.

ASGARDIAN NETWORK

Asgardia is where Asgardians are. We have created a unique social network available to all Asgardians, based on global Asgardian's map and showing their location on Earth. Via this social network, Asgardians can communicate with each other, create communities, maintain scientific and cultural ties, conduct research, while being in a different part of the world.

The core principles of the economy of Asgardia are:

1. Citizens are the owners of the national currency, the Solar.

2. Citizens and 6 mega-investors participate in the distribution of the surplus part of the national budget.

3. The Solar will be freely converted into global currencies, most demanded by Asgardians. As of today, 12 currencies are selected: US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Japanese Yen, Canadian Dollar, Swiss Franc, Hong Kong Dollar, Mexican Peso, Australian Dollar, Russian Rouble, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krona.

4. ATA (Asgardia Terra Arks) – the structure of nongovernmental non-profit organizations (NGOs) established in terrestrial jurisdictions. Prior to the recognition of Asgardia by the UN as an independent state, it will rely on this system of Asgardia's terrestrial representations.

5. AFA (Asgardia Financial Arks) represent the entire earthly business and financial infrastructure of Asgardia and relies on a system of joint stock companies (AG, Corp) established in terrestrial jurisdictions.

6. Asgardian citizens and others can invest funds into the Asgardian economy by purchasing AFA shares.

7. Budget revenue of Asgardia is formed by means of the citizenship and residency fee payments, business taxes, return on investment and other sources.

8. Asgardia provides a simple and transparent business taxation system based on the fixed low tax rate.
