Asantys Systems understands itself as a mediator between the markets who is implementing these technologies with its partners in developing countries.

We procure first class quality components from German manufacturers and offer these at best prices in the target markets.

Where needed, we add quality engineering services such as system sizing, design, installation, monitoring and maintenance in order to achieve turnkey installations for our customers.

Besides rural electrification Asantys Systems aims at grid- connected solar systems in order to feed the growing energy demand in urban areas and replace environmentally harmful diesel plants.

Team Asantys

Mrs. Manel Naceur:Mrs. Naceur received a scholarship from the State of Tunisia after finishing her secondary education. She graduated in electrical engineering and information technology at the University of Karlsruhe in Germany. Afterwards, she gained some years of prac-tical and theoretical experience in an export oriented solar com-pany, before co-founding Asantys Systems. Due to her language skills (fluent German, English, French and Arabic) she serves not only African but also customers from the Far and Middle East.

Mr. Nicolas Rohrer:Mr. Rohrer studied international business relations and law at the University of Freiburg, HU Berlin and Paris XII. After graduating he was working as consultant for exports for the German Solar Industry Association before exchanging to the private industry. Mr. Rohrer was working as Sales Director Africa for four years, being responsible for building up a distributor network in Africa, before co-founding Asantys Systems. Mr. Rohrer serves customers in fluent German, English and French.

Mr. Johannes Germ:Mr. Germ concentrated on intercultural communication and developing theories during his studies of Sociology, Politics and Africa Studies. He carried out an empirical study for the GTZ-IS in Ethiopia as a stipendiary of the University of Hamburg. After graduating he was working as journalist before he was chang-ing to the solar business. Mr. Germ was working as Area Sales Manager East Africa for two years before he co-founded Asanyts Systems.

Mr. Thomas Angerer:Mr. Angerer, as licensed electro technician, has more than ten years of practical experience in solar system installations. Among others he was working for the companies Phaesun GmbH and solar23 GmbH as project manager. He was responsible for the planning, projecting, installation and commissioning of on- and off-grid solar systems in Germany as well as abroad before co-founding Asantys Systems, where he is responsible for solar projects in Germany and the development and manufacturing of Asantys solar Components.

Different clients have different needs – Asantys Systems offers exactly those services you require:

Some of our clients are commercial solar companies, which have a very good technical capacity.

They do not require system sizing, installation services or system maintenance but solar components at best possible prices – solar modules, batteries, inverter, charge controller, wires and installa-tion material all out of one hand.

Other clients have project ideas but need services like system sizing, turnkey installation and maintenance.

Asantys Systems offers all necessary services for the successful implementation of your solar projects worldwide:

In a first step Asantys is consulting you regarding the feasibility of your solar project.

Sometimes it is necessary that Asantys engineers visit the project location and fulfill an energy audit.

Based on the energy data of the project Asantys designs solar systems exactly to the needs of its clients.

Most components are sourced from Germany.

Asantys organizes the logistics until the place of installation.

Once the equipment arrives, Asantys engineers fly in and supervise the installation. System monitoring and maintenance can be offered by Asantys licensed partner companies or directly by Asantys.

Solar Village Power Supply System (micro grid-solar diesel hybrid)

550 kWp Solar-Diesel hybrid systems in Mali:

Asantys Systems GmbH has successfully implemented eight installations of solar-diesel hybrid systems of together 550 kWp (ranging from 50 kWp to 150 kWp) in Mali.The first two systems of together 200kWp were ordered end of December 2010. The turnkey installation was realized in the record-time of seven month.In a second project stage 350 kWp were ordered beginning 2012. The installations were finished July, again only seven month after order. EPC (engineering, procurement, commissioning) provider Asantys Systems (engineering, procurement, commissioning) was responsible for the system design, choice and delivery of components, logistics and installation in Mali.

All eight solar plants are operating in combination with diesel generators in hybrid systems. They provide clean energy to hundreds of households in the south of Mali.The yearly energy yield is predicted with around 800 MWh per year.

100 kWp solar-diesel hybrid system in Bangladesh:

Asantys Systems GmbH has successfully implemented a solar-diesel hybrid system of 100kWp in Bangladesh in September 2010.The solar plant provides clean energy to around 400 shops and households.The average monthly energy yield is about 10000kWh. EPC provider Asantys Systems (engineering, procurement, commissioning) was responsible for the system design, choice and delivery of components, logistics and supervision of the installation in Bangladesh.

Solar Telecom Supply System

Asantys Systems has successfully deli-vered 40 Telecom systems of 10kWp each, summing up to 400kWp, into a project in Burkina Faso (West Africa).Each system is supplying around 39 kWh per day to power telecom BTS stations which are located of the grid.

In a second ongoing project of 56 solar systems of 10kWp in Burkina Faso EPC provider Asantys Systems was responsible for the system design, choice and delivery of components, logistics and supervision of the installation. The 560kWp are sup-pling around 2184 kWh per day to power telecom BTS stations which are located off the grid.

Solar Streetlights

Asantys Systems has successfully delivered 170 solar streetlights into two projects in Senegal.

The systems were delivered customized to the light needs of the customers and are operating independent from the grid.

Solar Home Systems

Asantys Systems has successfully delivered 650 Solar Home systems of 55Wp each to a project of the German GIZ (former GTZ) in Senegal.

Solar Pumping System

Asantys Systems has sized and delivered 15 solar pumping systems to UNICEF Afghanistan. The systems pump 8-10m³ of water per day. The total head is between 50 and 80 meter.

Kenya:Asantys Systems has successfully deli-vered and installed a 60kWp grid con-nected solar system in Mombasa in 2011. The solar system which was the first grid connected solar system being installed in Kenya covers the energy demand of 300 children in the SOS’s Children’s Home Mombasa. The system was realized with a special permit by the Ministry of Energy Kenya. The yearly energy yield is predic-ted with 100.000kWh. Asantys Systems was responsible for the delivery, installation and maintenance of the solar system.

Grid connected systems in Africa:

Besides its specialization on off-grid solar systems Asantys Systems believes that grid connected solar systems will spread all over Africa as a reliable source of energy in the very near future. In order to develop this market Asantys Systems has installed two pilot grid connected systems:

Burkina Faso:Asantys Systems has successfully delivered and installed an 78kWp grid connected solar system onto the roof of the Ministry of Environment in Quagadougou in 2011.The system is estimated to produce 104,5 MWh per year.

Solar Pico Systems

Asantys Systems has delivered several thousand pico solar systems to projects in various countries in Africa.

A small village connected to the world: Our office in Hausach in the heart of the black forest is home to the management of Asantys Systems, project engineers, who work on system sizing, project development and tender preparations and to the company accounting. All clients from Africa, Asia, Far and Middle East, South and Middle America as well as international NGOs are directly served from the head office.

The second Asantys office and the stock are located just 120 km west of Munich. Here the stocking, export processing and customer service for German grid-connect clients takes place. At the same time installation devices such as PV-junction boxes, battery main switches or solar module structures are manufactured in a workshop inside the stock and office building.
