affection;~ Presents love for rosalind, juxtaposition between force and affection.

and connotation of detachment and no belonging, hypercole of not having anything.

- Gentle Cousin Celia speaks to Rosaling in such a gentle tone
- Rosalind gives a chain from her neck to Orlando. Chain becomes physical symbol of her
relationship. [Giving him a chain from her neck]
- Overthrown more than your enemies extends idea into a metaphor. Metaphor for their
connection.
- Wrestling symbolises to represent the atmosphere of the court, one of conflict, in which people
dont get along.

- But heavenly Rosalind Hyperbole for his infatuation.
- With his eyes full of anger. Synecdote, which represents the dukes whole personality. His angry
identity causes him not to belong, and to become detattached.
- like Juno's swans Juno: Ancient Greek Goddess of Marriage (Mythological Allusion)
- thou and I am one: Are one emotionally, hyperbole.
- Aliena: Alien, Alienated, Isolation
- Ganymede: Someone who has been taken out of there natural envirnoment. He was a good guy.
- Both names act symbolically; mythological allusion.
- To liberty and not to banishment. Contrast between positive connotations. They did not belong
in the court, they will be free.
