Happy Summer! Well – almost. I hope you’ve been enjoying the early helping of warm weather Mother Nature has treated us to here in the Pacific Northwest. What a beautiful time of year! It’s also the end of KBTC’s fiscal year, which means we’re working to tie up loose ends, and we’re also looking forward to a brand new year of PBS programming, community events, and locally produced programs, all made possible by your very generous support. Traditionally, June time of fundraising for PBS stations across the country and this year is no different. It’s so important that we receive your financial gift this month because it helps us to finalize our year-end ac-counting and start the new fiscal year in the black. I’d like to send out a big thank you to those of you who donate during this crucial fund drive! When you consider how you’ll give this June, please consider becoming a sustainer. KBTC Sustaining Mem-bers provide the foundation for all that we do at KBTC. In fact, during the last three years, sustaining members who donate a small amount monthly - $5 or $10 per month - have helped us decrease the amount of time we spend fundraising on the air by nearly 20%, which means we don’t need to preempt the programs you and your family watch each week with fundraising specials as often! Another way to support KBTC and keep your favorite shows on the air regularly throughout the year is by contributing when we ask you to support programs from our regular, weekly schedule. You’ll have the opportunity to do this on June 1 and 2, when we’ll be showcasing mysteries and British comedies (see page 3).
