and this trend has shifted to lips. Mirror shine glossy

lips were seen this year on fashion runways around

Let’s Get Back to Bullets

The lipstick bullet is back and going strong.

This is a sign that “what is old will eventually

become new again.” We are craving

creamy, hydrating lip formulas. My all-time

favorite is Nars Audacious Lipstick with its

bold, ultra-saturated colors that stay put.

Matte LipstickMatte lip formulas aren’t going anywhere,

but they are getting an upgrade for spring/

summer 2018. Whether the formula is

liquefied, or bulleted, matte lipsticks last

the longest. Forget about the dry finish

Lip BalmOur lips have no oil glands; therefore, they

cannot self-moisturize. It’s important to give

them a helping hand by adding a layer of moisture to

keep your lips smooth and full of life. Today’s lip balms

come in both high-shine sheen or matte formulas. Look

for petroleum-free formulas because petroleum is a by-

product of crude oil, which in turn, forms a moisture

barrier that prevents your lips from “breathing.” My
