Using paint and a paper plate to create a basic pond, with rough brush strokes make with a sponge to mimic Monet.

First have the students put their name on the Art Smart label and glue it to the back of the paper plate. Next they will use a sponge to apply blue, green and white paint. They can add the gold metallic paint around the outside of the plate to give the idea of a bridge and to frame the artwork. The lily pads will be cut out of green paper and tissue paper will be used for the flowers.
