To present the principles, theories and techniques surrounding video making. To develop practical skills and conceptual knowledge of digital publishing, visual communication and media design. To provide a critical overview of the role of public relations and promotional practice. To develop writing skills in a wide range of genres. Media Companies, non-profit organisations, global business, government and the public sector value the fact that our Graduates have developed a range of critical and theoretical abilities and a creative and innovative approach to media practice. Who should Apply?

Graduates interested in communication, media practice, and PR with a first degree in digital media and new media technologies, media studies, business and marketing, journalism, arts and humanities, social science, or related background. Professionals interested in the challenge of new media both in terms of their professional practice, but also related to fields such as public administration.

Facilities

The College has computer labs with Apple computers to learn creative digital publishing and design skills, radio and TV studios, video and film production and editing equipment, and film viewing facilities.

In addition you will gain practical experience and benefit from a programme of non compulsory work experience placements set up for course students.

Entry Requirements

The typical entry requirement is a first degree, normally a lower second (with an average of 55% or above) or above or equivalent professional experience.

Overseas students are expected to possess an equivalent first degree, an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, if English is not their first language; a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Application and references will form the basis of the selection process for International students.

Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates

Full-time or part-time Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits) or Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) is available.
