DESCRIPTION

This was our ppt which was created by us for the 1st time to participate in an a paper presentation that was conducted in our college. I know that there will be some mistakes but we apologize for all those things. We think that this was one of the colorful PPT for artificial intelligence as said by the judges in the hall :P lol, but even we will feel the same thanks to all of u guys Support us for our development thanks :)

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Page 4: Artificial intelligence1

WHAT IS INTELLIGENCE????

Page 5: Artificial intelligence1

“INTELLIGENCE” INTELLIGENCE IS WHAT WE USE WHEN WE DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

PEOPLE CAN RECOGNISE INTELLIGENCE IN OTHER PEOPLE.

Page 6: Artificial intelligence1

FEATURES OF INTELLIGENCE

• PERFORM COMPLEX TASKS• SOLVE UNSEEN PROBLEMS • LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES AND

EXPERIENCE. AND much more……

Page 7: Artificial intelligence1

SO THAT’S WHAT “INTELLIGENCE”

MEANS!!!!

WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL??

Page 10: Artificial intelligence1

“ARTIFICIAL”

MADE OR PRODUCED BY HUMAN BEINGS RATHER THAN OCCURING NATURALLY,ESPECIALLY AS A COPY OF SOMETHING NATURAL.

SO THAT’S WHAT ARTIFICIAL

MEANS!!!!!!

WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE???

Page 14: Artificial intelligence1

Artificial Intelligence is a branch of Science which deals with helping machines finds solutions to complex problems in a more human-like fashion.

This generally involves borrowing characteristics from human intelligence, and applying them as algorithms in a computer friendly way.

1956: Term Artificial Intelligence introduced

1960s: Checkers-playing program that was able to play games with opponents

1987: MAVEN created to scramble .No person has been able to win.

1997:Deep Blue plays the world’s best chess player and wins.

WHY DO WE NEED ARTIFICIAL

INTELLIGENCE???

Page 23: Artificial intelligence1

Computers are fundamentally well suited to performing mechanical computations,

using fixed programmed rules. This allows artificial machines to perform

simple monotonous tasks efficiently and reliably, which humans are ill-suited to.

Page 24: Artificial intelligence1

LIMITATIONS OF HUMAN MIND

Page 25: Artificial intelligence1

Distinguish between HI vs. AI

Human Intelligence Artificial Intelligence

Intuition, Common sense, Judgement, Creativity, Beliefs etc

Ability to simulate human behaviour and cognitive processes

The ability to demonstrate their intelligence by communicating effectively

Capture and preserve human expertise

Plausible Reasoning and Critical thinking

Fast Response. The ability to comprehend large amounts of data quickly.

Page 26: Artificial intelligence1

Object recognition. People cannot properly explain how they recognize objects.

Page 27: Artificial intelligence1

Face recognition. Cannot be passed on to another person by explanation.

Page 28: Artificial intelligence1

Naming of colors. Based on learning,

not on absolute standards.

APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Page 30: Artificial intelligence1

Expert systems.• An Expert System is a computer program designed

to act as an expert in a particular domain (area of expertise).

Page 31: Artificial intelligence1

Speech recognition. The primary interactive method of communication used by humans is not reading and writing, it is speech.

Page 32: Artificial intelligence1

Computer vision.People generally use vision as their primary

means of sensing their environment, we generally see more than we hear, feel or smell or taste.

The goal of computer vision research is to give computers this same powerful facility for understanding their surrounding. Here A.I helps computer to understand what they see through attached cameras.

Robotics.

Page 34: Artificial intelligence1

• A Robot is a electro-mechanical device that can by programmed to perform manual tasks or a reprogrammable multi functional manipulator designed to move materials, parts, tools, or specialized devices through variable programmed motions for performance of variety of tasks.

• An ‘intelligent’ robot includes some kind of sensory apparatus that allows it to respond to change in it’s environment

ADVANTAGES (FUTURE +)

The day is not far when you will just sit back in your cozy little beds and just command your personal Robot's to entirely do your ruts . He

will be a perfect companion for you. Just enjoy the Technology.
