Active 9/1/09 until 6/30/12 Articulation Agreement Summary Sheet MassBay Community College - Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems University of Massachusetts, Boston – Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Summary of Agreement: This agreement will provide graduates with an Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems from MassBay Community College with an opportunity to be admitted into the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program at University of Massachusetts, Boston in the College of Science and Math. Admissions and Enrollment Guidelines: All MassBay Community College graduates must complete the University of Massachusetts, Boston admissions process, including filling out a regular application for admission, providing official transcripts from all institutions attended, and any other documents that may be required. All MassBay Community College graduates must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in order to be guaranteed admission. Students who meet the requirements of the Joint Admissions Agreement and who complete the general education core curriculum will be guaranteed a minimum of 60 semester hour credits being the student received a C or higher in those courses. Should a student desire to substitute any course/requirement taken at MassBay Community College for a requirement listed on the attached curriculum guide, the student must first obtain permission from the transfer advisor at MassBay Community College and then petition the appointed advisor for approval for transfer. All course substitutions, for any required course listed on the attached curriculum guide, must be approved by University of Massachusetts, Boston. Financial Aid and Scholarships: All applicants are encouraged to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine scholarship, grant, and loan eligibility. To find out more information regarding financial aid possibilities for transfer students, please contact the financial aid office of the institution in this agreement.
