peer 1 → your clear and concise analysis. You have used the 16 sentences for this analysis, as requested. Some points of feedback that have resulted in my grading: 1. I found your audio sample a bit hard to follow as there were no transcriptions or sentence numbers and the volume was very low. I had to listen to the sample a couple of times. 3. I understand your point, but it is not clear from the examples you give. Both Il fiore bello and La pianta brutta are NA, so you are not proving your point that the order can be both AN and NA. However, when I went back to your audio I noticed that sentence 7 you refer to is actually la bella pianta, which is an example of AN. So your analysis was correct, but the data you provided to come to this conclusion were not. 4. You have forgotten to address the question of counter-examples, and where you tried to find them. 6. What you are saying here is not incorrect, but it does not answer the question about correlations between the different word orders as predicted by Joseph Greenberg (refer to video 3.4b). You put in quite some effort, so I have marked this answer with the middle mark. I hope my feedback has been helpful and good luck with the rest of the course! peer 2 → That the students included examples and their analysis in their assignment. peer 3 → ...that the SoundCloud audio was clear and easy to follow. I also liked the way that you presented your counter-examples and that you used academic language in a convincing way. It was a good idea to put the important words in bold text in your answers, I wish I had thought of this before submitting my task. It seems to me that the writer and recorder of this assignment has worked through the material well, or already had a lot of knowledge about lingustics and the Italian language. Well done! peer 4 → Thank you for this interesting assignment. In my opinion your analysis of the data is substantially correct and clearly expressed. Your answer to question 3 however is confusing since you appear to be referring to AN, whereas your data shows NA. Perhaps you intended to state that 'il bello fiore' could be used with 'descriptive value'. In question 4 you do not address the issue of counter-examples. I think it would be fair just to say that you have not been able to identify any, and better if you could refer to an informant or to an authority such as a grammar book. I hope that this is helpful. peer 5 → This student gave a lot of great examples for people to better understand how the language is spoken.
