Negli ultimi anni la vita artistico-culturale della Striscia di Gaza si è notevolmente impove-rita; non solo per gli artisti della Striscia, ma anche per tutti quei giovani e giovanissimi che trovano uno spazio espressivo libero tramite le attività artistico-culturali. In una situazione d’isolamento all’interno della gabbia che Gaza è diventata, la pratica artistica è per loro una straordinaria valvola di sfogo. L’embargo globale a cui Gaza è sottoposta rende sempre più importante la creazione di spazi “interni” ove è possibile esprimersi liberamente. Una chiusura economica, commerciale, culturale, umana che si riflette sulla vita di tutta la popolazione in cui giovani risentono particolarmente della mancanza di spazi espressivi. Da queste esigenze nasce l’idea di proporre sei laboratori artistici all’interno di scuole e asili dislocati nella Striscia, offrendo la possibilità ai giovani di lavorare a servizio della propria comunità attraverso uno dei mezzi che prediligono, quello artistico.L’Azione si è inserita all’interno del programma di Emergenza Umanitaria che, nel 2010, è stato promosso dalla Cooperazione Italiana in sostegno alla popolazione di Gaza.Il progetto, ideato congiuntamente alla Cooperazione Italiana e attuato dalla ONG EducAid, ha promosso, a livello comunitario e indivi-duale, percorsi artistici come mezzo di auto-espressione collettiva e comunitaria. Con l’utilizzo delle potenzialità dell’arte nel sociale si sono voluti usare mezzi con una forte componente di collettività per indagare sulle realtà individuali; contemporaneamente si è voluto costruire un percorso di svelamento e affido di questa individualità alla pratica artistica, mezzo prediletto per un dialogo collettivo che va al di là delle barriere temporali, spaziali e linguistiche.Questa pubblicazione è il frutto dei vari laboratori tenuti dai 6 giovani artisti e si propone di indagare e riscoprire la complessa e multiforme realtà di un’altra Gaza attraverso lo sguardo sorprendente dei bambini e dei ragazzi.

In the last years, the artistic-cultural life of the Gaza Strip has drastically worsened; not only for the artists of the strip, but also for all the young and very young ones who seak to freely express themselves through artistic and cultural activities In this situation of isolation inside the cage that Gaza has become, the practice of Fine Arts is for them an extraordinary release valve.The global embargo to which Gaza has been subjected to, urgently requires the creation of “internal” spaces, where they can express themselves freely. An economic, commercial, cultural and human closure is reflected in the life of the whole population, and even more so, on the young ones in society, the ones who more intensly feel the lack of a space for self-expression.From this need comes the the idea of running six workshops, inside the schools and kindergartens. These would offer the young ones the possibility to work at the service of their community, through artistic means.The Action has been inserted in the Humanitarian Emergency Programme, which in 2010 was promoted by the Italian Cooperation in order to sustain the population in Gaza. The current project, implemented by the italian NGO EducAid promoted - both on an individual and a community level - artistic research, which allows for collective and individual self-expression. Through the use of Arts in a social context, we have used means which focus on the collective examining ones own individual reality. At the same time we have tried to build a path to help unveil the self through Art in order to reach a dialogue with society, which transcends time, space and language barriers. The following pubblication is the result of several workshops held by six young artists and it aims to reveal the complex and multiform reality of another Gaza through the amazing and refreshing eyes of the children.

في السنني املاضية، تدهورت احلياة الفنية والثقافة في قطاع غزة بشكل جذري؛ ليس بالنسبة للفنانني فقط، وإمنا علي الشباب واألطفال أيضا الذي يسعون للتعبير عن أنفسهم بحرية من خالل األنشطة الفنية والثقافية في هذه احلالة من العزلة داخل غزة التى أصبحت كالقفص. تعتبر ممارسة الفنون اجلميلة بالنسبة لهم كصمام تفريغ غير اعتيادي. احلصار العاملي التى تعرضت له غزة، يتطلب خلق مساحات “داخلية” علي وجه السرعة، ليتمكنوا من التعبير عن أنفسهم بحرية. الوضع االقتصادي والتجاري والثقافي واحلصار اإلنساني ينعكس علي حياة هؤالء األفراد، باالخص علي صغار والشباب فهم

يشعرون بحساسية أكبر لعدم وجود مساحات للتعبير عن آرائهم.لذلك أتت فكرة اقتراح ستة ورشات عمل في داخل املدارس ورياض األطفال في قطاع غزة، التى سوف توفر للصغار والشباب

السن إمكانية العمل علي خدمة مجتمعهم من خالل الوسائل الفنية.لقد مت إدراج العمل حتت برنامج الطوارئ اإلنسانية، الذي مت ترشيحه في سنة 2010 من خالل التعاون اإليطالي للحفاظ علي

سكان قطاع غزة.املشروع احلالي الذي يتم تنفيذه من قبل مؤسسة إدوكيد، مؤسسة إيطالية غير حكومية، ويعمل علي تعزيز املستويات الفردية واجلماعية في اجملتمع من خالل البحوث الفنية، حيث يوفر مساحة للسكان بالتعبير عن أنفسهم بحرية بشكل فردي وجماعي من خالل استخدام الفنون في سياق اجتماعي، قمنا باستخدام بعض الوسائل للتركيز علي العمل اجلماعي ابداعية ملساعدة الصغار والشباب ليتمكن األفراد من اكشتاف قدراتهم وواقعهم، وفي الوقت ذاته حاولنا أن نبني طرقاً على اكتشاف ذاتهم من خالل البحوث الفنية الفردية إليصال الفكرة العامة إلي اجملتمع ولتخطى حواجز الوقت واملساحة واللغات. الكتيب التالي يعد نتيجة للعديد من حلقات العمل التى عقدت من قبل ستة فنانني من أجل اكتشاف الواقع

“Una goccia d’acqua se ne stava seduta in casa e notò che un bambino della famiglia usava troppa acqua sprecandola. Decise quindi di andarsene e cercare una casa in cui le persone rispettassero di più le gocce d’acqua. Coinvolse quindi altre gocce nel suo progetto di fuga.Quando il bambino vide tutte le gocce andarsene cambiò repentinamente comportamento e iniziò ad usare l’acqua in modo parsimonioso.Le gocce in fuga decisero allora di rimanere.”

Ho lavorato con i bambini sulle storie. La fotografia racchiude delle storie e richiede attenzione ai dettagli e immaginazione. Abbiamo pensato insieme delle storie legate all’acqua e all’agricoltura e ho spinto i bambini a prestare attenzione alle piccole cose che ci sfuggono per abitudine e distrazione. Siamo usciti nei campi e ci siamo messi a cercare tante situazioni e particolari che non osserviamo nella vita quotidiana.I bambini hanno apprezzato molto di lavorare in spazi aperti e spesso cantavano, battevano la mani e ballavano insieme.

“A drop of water was sitting in the house and noticed that a child was using too much water, wasting it. The drop decided to leave and look for another house where people would respect water more. So it involved other drops in its escape plan.When the child saw all the drops leaving he immediately changed attitude and began to use the water in a smarter way.Therefore the drops decided to remain.”

I worked with the children on stories; photography is a visual representation of a story and demands attention to detail and imagination. Together we imagined stories connected to water and agriculture, and I encouraged them to pay attention to the small details of life that often go unobserved and are taken for granted. We went into the fields and searched for many situations that go unnoticed in daily life.The children very much appreciated working in open spaces, and were often singing, clapping and working together.

قطرة ماء كانت في بيت ما وال حظت بأن طفالً يفرط في استخدام املاء. فقررت تلك القطرة أن تترك هذا البيت وأن تبحث عن بيت آخر يحافظ فيه الناس علي املاء، لذلك أشركت القطرات األخرى في خطة هروبها.

عندما الحظ الطفل بأن القطرات يغادرن البيت قرر أن يغير من طباعه وأن يرشد استهالكه للمياه. وعندها قررت القطرة أن تبقى في البيت.

لقد عملت مع األطفال من خالل القصص. التصوير الفوتوغرافي يشمل علي أسلوب القصة ويتطلب التركيز علي التفاصيل واخليال. لقد تخيلنا جميعاً قصص عن املياه والزراعة وقمت بتحفيز األطفال ليحاولوا ان يركزوا علي األشياء الصغيرة التى بالعادة ال نراها بسبب التعود علي عدم رؤيتها او عدم مالحظتها. قمنا بالذهاب إلي امليدان وبحثنا عن مواقف مختلفة ال

نالحظها في حياتنا اليومية.لقد أظهر األطفال الكثير من التقدير العمل في املساحات املفتوحة وفي بعض األحيان كانوا ميرحون ويغنون ويصفقون

I murales sono uno strumento di comunicazione che tocca direttamente la gente ed entra a far parte del paesaggio urbano. Viene visto e rivisto in continuazione quindi diventa un’immagine di riferimento per i passanti. Suscitano reazioni impreviste e spesso nuovi murales si integrano e dialogano con i precedenti. Abbiamo deciso di lavorare sull’educazione ambientale perché è una tematica di cui le persone a Gaza sanno poco. Abbiamo scelto i muri in prossimità di una scuola perché ci interessava soprattutto coinvolgere i bambini e i giovani, quindi abbiamo lavorato su immagini semplici e dirette.All’inizio del workshop i ragazzi hanno fatto esercizi di disegno e composizione su carta e ognuno ha concepito la sua idea. Mettendo insieme le diverse proposte sono nate immagini che abbiamo poi realizzato insieme nello spazio pubblico.

The murals are an upfront and effective tool of communication that visually present themselves to the local community and become a part of the urban landscape. They are seen again and again by members of the community and become an ongoing reference of relevance; they provoke unexpected reactions, and often, new murals are made in dialogic response to them.Environmental responsibility is not a subject that the people of Gaza are particularly familiar with, and as such we chose this to be the focal point of our project. We chose the walls next to a school using simple and straightforward images because we were particularly interested in involving children and youngsters in the project.

At the beginning of the workshop the boys participated in drawing exercises, and everyone conceived their own ideas and representations. Gathering all of their proposals together we then consolidated them into images to paint in the public space.

تعتبر اجلداريات أداة مباشرة للتواصل مع الناس كما أنها أصبحت جزءاً من املشاهد احلضارية، فهي تُـشاهد باستمرار لذلك فهي تعتبر كإشـارة لوجود السكان.

Volevo trasmettere ai bambini la libertà di immaginare un’altra realtà attraverso il disegno.I bambini palestinesi spesso riproducono immagini violente e di guerra. Ho cercato di proporre uno sguardo più aperto e positivo che assecondasse il loro desiderio di giocare mettendo da parte il carico di responsabilità eccessivo per la loro età.I bambini hanno disegnato campi aperti, cieli, giardini, se stessi e i loro amici.

I meant to suggest the children the freedom of imagining another reality through the drawings.Palestinian children often reproduce images of violence and war.I tried to propose a different perspective, more open and positive. That in order to stimulate their desire of playing and to let them forget the charge of responsibilities which are too hard for their age. They drew open fields, skies, gardens and themselves together with their friends.

قصدت أن أقترح لألطفال أن يتخيلوا بحرية واقعاً آخراً من خالل الرسومات. حيث يقوم األطفال الفلسطينيون عادًة بإعادة إنتاج صور للعنف واحلرب. حاولت القيام بتقدمي نظرة مختلفة، إيجابية وأكثر انفتاحاً؛ وذلك من أجل إثارة رغبتهم في اللعب

ولكي ينسوا أعباء املسئوليات التى هي عبء كبير عليهم في هذا السن.قـام األطفال برسم حقول مفتوحة، والسماوات، واحلدائق، وكذلك قاموا برسم أنفسهم مع أصحابهم.

Ho lavorato con bambine dai 13 ai 16 anni che non avevano nessuna esperienza di pittura.Ho quindi introdotto la materia attraverso giochi di gruppo lasciando loro stesse trovare risposte alle domande che mi rivolgevano. Volevo che ognuna si sentisse libera di usare la tecnica che più le corrispondesse, quindi le ho coinvolte a sperimentare l’uso di strumenti e metodi inabituali, come cannucce di plastica, bastoncini recuperati e anche le mani nude. Vorrei che andando avanti nella formazione non dessero niente per scontato e vedessero la pittura come un campo aperto e un universo personale diverso per ognuno. Le regole dei colori le abbiamo studiate come regole da reinventare continuamente, e così abbiamo dipinto lo stesso quadro con molte combinazioni possibili diverse.

I worked with girls aged between 13 and 16 years old who had no previous experience in painting. I introduced concepts of painting through group games, leaving them free to discover their own answers for their questions.I wanted them to feel free to explore the techniques that inspired and suited them most, so I involved them in experimentations with unusual tools and methods, such as drinking straws, wooden sticks and bare hands. We also studied the role of colours and their possibilities in continuous reinvention by painting the same paintings in different ways.I hope that they do not take anything for granted and that they learned to appreciate painting as both an open field of expression and a diverse personal universe. We worked on the color roles in order to be able to change them as we wish, that’s why we painted several times the same painting with different combinations.

لقد قمت بالعمل مع بنات ذوات السن ما بني 13 إلي 16 سنة والالتي لم يكن لديهن أي خبرة سابقة في الرسم. فقمت بتقدمي الفكرة من خالل مجموعات األلعاب ألتركهم يجدون إجابات ألسئلتهم. أردت أن يشعروا باحلرية باستخدام التقنيات اعتيادية، مثل مصاصة ووسائل غير أدوات أن أشركهم في جتربة لذلك فقد حاولت بأفضل طريقة؛ تتوافق معهم التى

الشرب، العيدان اخلشبية، وكذلك أيديهم العارية في الرسم.وددت في ذلك الوقت أال يعتبروا األشياء مسلماً بها وأن ينظروا إلي اللوحات كمساحة مفتوحة أو عالم خاص لكل األشخاص

اخملتلفة.قمنا بدراسة أدوار األلوان كأدوار يستمر اإلبداع بها ؛ ولذلك قمنا برسم بعض اللوحات عدة مرات.

L’animazione è un campo complesso che richiede conoscenze approfondite e una lunga preparazione tecnica. Non avevamo a disposizione gli strumenti per coinvolgere i bambini in un percorso così lungo, quindi ci siamo focalizzate sulla struttura e sulla relazione tra i disegni preparatori e le immagini finali. Abbiamo lavorato sulle diverse tecniche del disegno e riprodotto animazioni già esistenti che i bambini conoscevano, ma quello che ci interessava era creare qualcosa di originale e diverso che i bambini sentissero vicino alla loro esperienza personale. Quindi abbiamo dibattuto con loro molti argomenti che li interessavano, scegliendo poi insieme di lavorare sul mondo dei bambini e su quello degli adulti. La scuola è stata scelta all’unanimità come il tema per loro più importante. Ne è nata la storia di Omar che preferirebbe di gran lunga restare a dormire un po’ di più la mattina che affrontare il maestro e i suoi ammonimenti a studiare di più. Lì altro soggetto emerso è stato l’inquinamento e la cura della città. I bambini vorrebbero più spazi verdi in cui giocare e che gli adulti dessero loro un migliore esempio sulla cura dell’ambiente.

Animation is a complex field demanding deep knowledge and hard work. We didn’t have the tools to involve the children in such an in-depth process, so we decided instead to focus on the structure of the stories, and on the relationship between the drawings and final images.At the beginning we worked on differents technics of drawing and we reproduced animations already well known, but we were interested in creating something new and original close to the personal experience of the children. Therefore we discussed many subjects with them, choosing then to focus on the world of the children comparated with the one of the adults. The school has been approved as the most important theme for them.From this we gave birth to the story of Omar who would prefer to sleep later in the morning instead of facing the teacher and his warnings. The other theme of our work was the pollution of the city. The children long for green open spaces to play and they would like the adults to offer them a better model of environmental care.

مجال الصور املتحركة يعتبر مجاالً معقداً ويتطلب معرفة عميقة وعمالً شاقاً. لم تكن األدوات موجودة لدينا لكي نضم األطفال في مراحل التدريب ملدة أطول؛ لذلك قررنا التركيز علي بنية القصص وعلي العالقة بني الرسومات والصور النهائية.كنا ولكن املعروفة مسبقاً، املتحركة الصور رسم وإعادة الرسم في تقنيات مختلفة علي العمل بدأنا األمر، بداية في مهتمني بصنع شي جديد ومبتكر وقريب من اخلبرة الشخصية لألطفال. لذلك قمنا مبناقشة العديد من املوضوع معهم املدرسة استحسنت هذا االختيار كأفضل منط البالغني. التركيز علي عالم األطفال مقارنة مع واحد من ومن ثم اخترنا

L’Obiettivo del progetto è di mitigare la condizione di insicurezza alimentare e malnutrizione della popolazione nell’area centrale della Striscia e dotare di mezzi di autosussistenza nuclei familiari vulnerabili, con priorità per quelli guidati da donne, attraverso interventi di agricoltura urbana a contenuto impatto ambientale.L’intervento si propone di incidere positivamente sulla grave situazione di insicurezza alimentare che affligge la Striscia, riducendo il numero di famiglie senza alcuna fonte di reddito e completamente dipendenti per la propria sussistenza dagli aiuti umanitari delle Agenzie Internazionali. Contestualmente si mira a migliorare la condizione sociale delle donne rimaste a guidare i nuclei familiari, incoraggiandone il coinvolgimento in piccole attività generatrici di reddito e l’inserimento in un tessuto associativo in grado di moltiplicare gli effetti delle singole attività (reti di microfinanza a sostegno delle attività; accesso a formazione e know how; accesso a nicchie di mercato che il PARC è in grado di garantire). Si è previsto infatti il trasferimento alla Women Save and Credit Organisation di un piccolo fondo di rotazione per riattivare il sistema di piccoli prestiti.L’intervento è inoltre finalizzato alla promozione di tecniche agricole e gestione delle risorse sostenibili e ad impatto ambientale positivo, e a una generale promozione dei principi di responsabilità ambientale.Le attività includono la riabilitazione di 150 orti domestici per 150 nuclei familiari. Le famiglie sono state selezionate sulla base della precarietà economica, accordando priorità a quelle guidate da donne, e dunque con particolare attenzione agli aspetti di gender.Si sono effettuati:- la distribuzione di semi e piantine, sia per la stagionalità estiva che per quella invernale; la distribuzione di serbatoi d’acqua e sistema di network pipes per installare in ogni orto piccoli sistemi di irrigazione a goccia;- la costruzione di 10 gray water recycling plants, un sistema di vasche che permette il recupero e il riutilizzo dell’acqua grigia per l’irrigazione, sistema a basso costo e a basso livello di manutenzione tecnologica, così da essere adatta al contesto;- la distribuzione di animali da allevamento da cortile (polli).Alle famiglie sono stati offerti trainings di agricoltura biologica, recupero e gestione delle acque, compostaggio e allevamento di animali di piccola taglia, e grazie alle periodiche field visits dello staff del progetto, un’assistenza diretta alle attività.Il progetto ha inoltre previsto l’impiego di 52 lavoratori privi di occupazione , come misura di job creation per contrastare la diffusa disoccupazione giovanile.

The Goal of the project is to mitigate the unstable food situation and malnutrition of the inhabitants of the central area of the Gaza Strip by offering subsistence tools to vulnerable families, particularly those headed by women, through agricultural interventions.The project aims at improving the harsh situation imposed upon the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip in their lack of food security and decreasing the number of families with no income who depend almost entirely on International Aid.In particular the intervention intends to improve the social conditions of female-headed households by encouraging their involvement in small enterprises that produce incomes, and through the integration of associations in order to multiply the economic effects of these enterprises (micro-credit and support of activities, training know how, access to market fields through the PARC). In fact, ACS planned the transfer to the Women Save and Credit Organization of a revolving fund in order to recover the loan system.The intervention also promotes agricultural techniques and resource management based on positive environmental impact and seeks to raise awareness on concepts environmental responsibility.The activities include the rehabilitation of 150 domestic home-gardens for 150 families. The families were chosen according to factors of economic need and gender. They are:Distribution of seeds and small plants for winter and summer, water tanks and network pipes for installing the drop by drop systemThe building of 10 grey water recycling plants, a basin system for the recuperation and use of the grey water for the irrigationDistribution of small breeding animals (chickens)

The families were offered training in biological agriculture, recovery and management of water, compost and the breeding of small animals and received home assistance by the staff.The project created jobs through the employment of 52 social workers, and thus supported the young unemployed.

الهدف من املشروع هو حتسني أسلوب احلياة ونشر الوعي و رفع ثقافة املستفيدين حول موضوع الزراعة احلضرية باالضافة الى االستخدام االمثل للموارد.

.PARC نفذ املشروع من قبل جمعية التنمية الزراعيةمعظم انشطة املشروع كانت تعطي اهتماما خاصا لالطفال واجملتمع احمللي الذي سيستفيد من هذه اخلدمة.

ان اعادة تأهيل اماكن عامة مفتوحة له اثر و قيمة كبيرة ويعزز فكرة الزراعة احلضرية، في الواقع مت حتويل بعض هذه االماكن الى اماكن زراعية من خالل زراعتها باشجار مثمرة مثل الزيتون و النخيل و اشجار محلية اخرى.

مت اعادة تاهيل 3 مواقع مفتوحة وحديقة مدرسة سكينة- بلدية دير البلح من خالل انشطة هذا املشروع الذي يخدم 30.000 من السكان بجوار هذه االماكن و مايقارب 1200 طالب.

لقد مت اختيار االماكن العامة املفتوحة بالتعاون مع البلديات حيث قام احد املهندسني احملليني بتقدمي االستشارة فيما يخص اخملططات. وتبع هذا االعالن فتح العطاءات في املشروع، حيث تولت اثنتني من الشركات اخلاصة التي رست عليها العطاءات

مسؤولية جتهيز هذه املتنزه باالزهار و العاب االطفال و شبكة ري.مت تنظيم انشطة تعليمية زراعية في مدرسة سكينة حيث مت زراعه حديقة املدرسة بانواع متعدده من الفواكه و االشجار

واخلضروات باالضافة الي عمل ورش عمل مع الطالب حول الزراعة.مت تشغيل 40 من العاطلني عن العمل من بينهم 10 من املهندسني الشباب يقومون باملتابعة واالشراف الفني حسب قواعد

العطاء.مت عقد ورشات عمل حول البيئة و الزراعة و توعية املستفيدين في احلفاظ على هذه االماكن في كل املواقع التي مت اعادة تأهيلها، حيث مت دمج اجملتمع احمللي املستفيد من االماكن العامة املفتوحة في هذه الورش والتي عقدها املهندسسن الزراعني

العامني في جمعية التنمية الزراعية مت تدريب الطالب في املدرسة حول الزراعه العضوية واالستخدام االمثل للموارد واالماكن املفتوحة .

Recupero e riabilitazione di spazi verdi pubblici

L’Obiettivo del progetto è di contribuire a un generale miglioramento degli standard di vita e del paesaggio urbano della Striscia di Gaza e recuperare la fruibilità di spazi pubblici che versano nel degrado, incoraggiando ownership rispetto al bene pubblico e gestione comune delle risorse.Il progetto è implementato con il PARC (Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee).Le attività rivolgono particolare attenzione ai bambini e coinvolgono direttamente le comunità che godranno degli spazi riabilitati e sono occasione per promuovere ownership e consapevolezza ambientale e per incoraggiare gestione comune e tutela delle risorse.La riabilitazione degli spazi verdi pubblici incoraggerà esperienze di agricoltura urbana:parte di questi è stata infatti riconvertita in area agricola con la piantumazione di alberi da frutto (palme da dattero e ulivi), mentre il resto degli spazi sono stati coltivati con alberiesornativi.Il progetto ha coinvolto il recupero di tre piazze e un giardino scolastico (Sukaina School – Deir al Balah Municipality) per un totale di 30.000 abitanti dei quartieri e 1200 studentesse.Sono stati selezionati gli spazi pubblici in accordo con i Comuni interessati. E’ poi stata effettuata una consulenza con un architetto locale per la progettazione e il design degli spazi e il lancio delle conseguenti gare d’appalto.Le gare hanno permesso l’ingaggio di due imprese private: la prima si è occupata dell’architettura urbana (marciapiedi, mobilio urbano, giochi per bambini e sistemi diirrigazione) e la seconda, un vivaio specializzato, ha effettuato tutti lavori agricoli per ogni spazio recuperato.Sono stati quindi costruiti marciapiedi (mattonelle autobloccanti e paracarri) e aiuole,installate panchine, pergole e cestini per i rifiuti e infine sistemati 2 parchi giochi per bambini.Nel giardino della scuola si è intervenuti con un’attività agricola improntata a scopodidattico: a un riassetto del terreno ha seguito la piantumazione di diverse specie di alberi da frutta e ortaggi.Il progetto ha creato posti di lavoro per 40 disoccupati tra cui 10 giovani architetti (alcuniappena laureati) che hanno avuto il compito di seguire i lavori ed effettuare un controllotecnico di ingegneria civile e vigilato sul rispetto delle regole stabilite dai tender da parte delle compagnie.In ogni sito sono stati effettuati workshops con i beneficiari:Negli spazi pubblici la comunità locale è stata coinvolta dagli agronomi del PARC a dellelezioni sull’ambiente, l’agricoltura, l’ownership degli spazi pubblici, la manutenzione e la cura dei parchi giochi e la gestione delle risorse in particolare quelle idriche.Nella scuola hanno avuto luogo laboratori centrati su agricoltura biologica, compostaggio, conoscenza degli alberi, gestione idrica.Un incontro pubblico finale riunirà tutti i beneficiari, le Municipalità interessate, i Partners e la Cooperazione Italiana in una giornata di sensibilizzazione.

The Goal of the project is to improve the living standards and urban landscapes of Gaza City by regenerating the quality and accessibility of open public spaces, and by raising awareness on ideas of ownership, responsibility and accountability in respect to public goods and the common management of the resources.The project is implemented in partnership with PARC (Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee).The activities give special attention to children, and involve the communities that will profit from the spaces recovered through the promotion of ownership and environmental awareness, fostering the common management of the resources.The rehabilitation of green public spaces has strong demonstrative value and helps to encourage experiences of urban agriculture: in fact some of them are converted into agricultural areas through the planting of fruits trees (dates, palms and olive trees) and some are cultivated with local trees.The project involved the rehabilitation of three squares and a school garden (Sukaina School – Deir al Balah Municipality) together with the 30000 inhabitants of the neighbourhood and 1200 students.The public spaces were selected in cooperation with the Municipalities; a local architect was then consulted about the design and, once finalised, the proposal was launched.Two private companies were employed to execute the urban architecture (pavements, flore beds, playgrounds for the children, irrigation systems) and implement agricultural intervention through specialized plantations. Pavements, floor beds, 2 playgrounds and irrigation systems were built in the open spaces. In the school garden they attended agricultural activities with a didactic goal: to rehabilitate the spaces and plant different kinds of fruits, trees and vegetables.40 unemployed individuals were employed during these projects, including 10 young architects in charge of monitoring and technical supervision, according to the philosophy of the proposal. Campaigns of ecological and environmental awareness and workshops on the management of public spaces are implemented in each open space recovered:In the open public spaces the local community is involved with the agronomists of PARC in trainings on the environment, agriculture, the ownership of public spaces, and the management of the playgrounds and irrigation systemsThe students of the school are trained in organic agriculture methodologies, how to take advantage of local and public resources, and they have the possibility to apply the “learning by doing” method in the school garden (didactical farm).

A final public meeting will gather all the beneficiaries, the Municipalities, the Partners and the Italian Cooperation during an Open Day.

Le attività del progetto mirano al potenziamento gestionale dei servizi di manutenzionedelle apparecchiature biomediche di rilevanza nevralgica presenti nei 13 ospedali pubblici della Striscia di Gaza.L’Obiettivo è di migliorare i servizi ospedalieri di diagnosi e cura incrementando e riqualificando le capacità operative e gestionali dell’Unita’ di Manutenzione Biomedica (UMB) dell’Ospedale Al Shifa di Gaza e della sua rete territoriale di Unità Periferiche.Il progetto interviene in una situazione di emergenza socio-politica cronica di cui è difficile prevedere gli ulteriori sviluppi. In questa situazione il corretto funzionamento dei servizi ospedalieri risente pesantemente del blocco del passaggio di beni e persone che si è acuito negli ultimi tre anni. Inoltre, i frequenti “black out” della rete elettrica, dovuti all’insufficienza di combustibile dell’unica centrale energetica della Striscia e la riduzione delle forniture dell’acqua, causata dall’impossibilità di eseguire la manutenzione delle stazioni di pompaggio, di trattamento e della rete di distribuzione, ha costretto gli ospedali ad affidarsi a generatori propri e a pozzi artesiani che forniscono acqua di cattiva qualità.A fronte di questo stato di cose già sufficientemente penalizzante e che pregiudica ulteriormente il funzionamento delle apparecchiature biomediche, i servizi di manutenzione avevano finora scarse possibilità d’intervento per mancanza di attrezzature e strumenti, di ricambi e di formazione.L’intervento progettuale agisce sia sui 13 ospedali pubblici della Striscia di Gaza, che sui 56 centri sanitari ed anche sul servizio ambulanze del Ministero della Sanità. Lo staff dell’UMB coinvolto nel progetto é di 35 persone, ingegneri e tecnici di manutenzione.Le attività sono le seguenti:- messa a punto del “data base” relativo alle apparecchiature biomediche installate in ciascun ospedale, nei centri sanitari e nelle ambulanze al fine di conoscere in modo circostanziato la situazione di carenza e di funzionamento delle tecnologie presenti in ogni struttura;- formazione – sia in loco, che presso l’Ospedale San Raffaele di Milano- degli ingegneri addetti alla manutenzione delle diverse tipologie di apparecchiature diagnostiche;- supporto tecnico/logistico alla struttura locale di manutenzione, mediante la fornitura di attrezzature, strumentazioni e ricambi per migliorarne l’efficienza e l’efficacia operativa, creando nel contempo le condizioni di sostenibilità d’uso delle tecnologie biomediche disponibili.

The activities of the project aim to empower the management and maintenance of primary bio-medical equipment in the 13 public hospitals of the Gaza Strip.The goal is to improve the hospitals’ services of diagnosis and treatment by increasing the operation and management capacities of the Bio-medical Unity Maintenance (UMB) of the Al Shifa Hospital and of its territorial network of Peripheral Units.The intervention faces a chronic socio-political Emergency situation. The top stratum of the hospital service suffers from the restrictions imposed on goods and people, which have worsened in the last three years.Moreover, the frequent electricity black-outs caused by the strain on the Strip’s singular power station, and the decrease of water resources caused by the impossibility of pump station maintenance, have obliged the hospitals to use their own generators and artesian wells; furnishing water of poor quality and purity.In addition to these harsh conditions compromising the bio-medical equipment efficacy, the maintenance services have few opportunities to intervene because of a lack of equipment, spare parts and trained staff.International Aid has supported the chronic lack of equipment but has compounded the problem of management sustainability because of deficient attention to the choice of technologies and the absence of up to date maintenance training of local staff.

The project involves 13 public hospitals in the Gaza Strip, 56 Health Centers, and the Ambulance Service of the Ministry of Health. The UMB staff is constituted of 35 persons, engineers and maintenance technician corps.The activities are:The formulation and instillation of a data base documenting the bio-medical equipment in each hospital, health center, and ambulance service, which are required to know the available quantities and effectiveness of all accessible technologies.Training – locally and at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan – of engineers responsible for the maintenance of different typologies of diagnostic equipmentTechnical/logistic support to the local maintenance structure through the distribution of equipment and spare parts in order to improve efficiency and operative efficacy, at the same time creating sustainable conditions for the use of actual bio-medical technologies.

أنشطة هذا املشروع تهدف إلي تعزيز إدارة صيانة املعدات الطبية احليوية في ثالثة عشر مستشفى عام في قطاع غزة.الهدف هو حتسني اخلدمات والفحوصات الطبية وعالج وصقل القدرات اجلراحية واإلدارية في وحدة الصيانة الطبية احليوية احلالة في مزمن طوارئ وضع يواجه الدعم هذا األخرى. بالوحدات املتصلة القطاعات شبكة وفي الشفاء ملستشفى بدأت حالتهم الذين األفراد املنتجات وعلي يعاني من احلصار على الكلي للمستشفى الهيكل واالجتماعية. السياسية بالتدهور في السنني الثالث السابقة. واجلدير بالذكر بأن انقطاع التيار الكهربي املتكرر الذي سببه النقص في مصدرالطاقة الوحيد في قطاع غزة وانخفاض معدالت موارد املياه التى سببها انعدام إمكانية صيانة مضخات املياه، ألزم املستشفى

باستخدام مولداتها اخلاصة وآبار املياه اجلوفية، التى تقدم مياه رديئة اجلودة.باإلضافة إلى هذا الوضع القاسي الذى أثر علي كفاءة املعدات الطبية احليوية، أصبح من الصعب جداً القيام بصيانة تلك

املعدات بسبب النقص في األدوات الالزمة وعدم وجود قطع الغيار وكذلك عدم وجود موظفني مدربني علي صيانتها.املساعدات الدولية التى قامت بدعم هذا النقص املزمن في األدوات تأثرت جداً مبشاكل االستدامة في اإلدارة بسبب عدم

األخذ بعني االعتبار التكنولوجيا اخملتارة وكذلك عدم وجود تدريب للموظفني احملليني علي صيانة تلك املعدات.املشروع يشمل 13 مستشفى حكومي من قطاع غزة و56 مركز صحى وخدمات اإلسعاف في وزارة الصحة. وحدة صيانة

املعدات الطبية احليوية تتألف من 35 شخص، منهم املهندسني وفنيي الصيانة.األنشطة هي :

إنشاء قاعدة بيانات للمعدات الطبية احليوية املوجودة في كل من املستشفيات، في مراكز الصحة وفي سيارات اإلسعاف والتى يتم توجيهها ملعرفة وضع النقص في فعالية املعدات التكنولوجية املوجودة.

التدريب – محلياً وأيضاً في مستشفى سان رافاييل في ميالنو – وكذلك للمهندسني املسئولني عن صيانة املعدات اخملتلفة ومعدات الفحوصات الطبية.

دعم تقني ولوجستي لبنية الصيانة احمللية من خالل توزيع معدات وقطع غيار من أجل حتسني الكفائة وفعالية العمليات، وفي الوقت ذاته صنع ظروف االستدامة التى ميكن من خاللها استخدام تكنولوجيا املعدات الطبية احلقيقية.

L’Obiettivo generale del progetto è di contribuire al miglioramento delle condizioni di vita dei bambini e dei giovani colpiti dal conflitto nella Striscia di Gaza attraverso il sostegno psicosociale, la promozione e la tutela dei diritti umani.Target group del progetto sono 510 bambini e adolescenti (8-17 anni) che vivono in condizioni particolarmente disagiate, 314 famiglie, e le comunità locali, per un totale di circa 1.500 beneficiari.Il progetto è eseguito in collaborazione con Sharek Youth Forum (foro dinamico di giovani per i giovani) e il Gaza Community Mental Health Program (organizzazione non governativa attiva a Gaza nell’ambito della salute mentale e dell’assistenza psicosociale).L’azione si svolge attraverso quattro componenti, trasversali e complementari:- Rafforzamento di capacità locali:due corsi di formazione, teorica e pratica, uno sul sostegno psicosociale realizzato dagli esperti del GCMHP ed uno su animazione sociale, diritti umani e cittadinanza attiva realizzato da esperti identificati da Sharek, sono stati realizzati a favore di 25 giovani laureati in Psicologia e Scienze dell’Educazione, con il fine di formare animatori esperti per le attività con i minori.- Supporto a giovani e adolescenti, attraverso attività ludico-creative e assistenza psico-sociale:Con il supporto di field facilitators di Sharek, i 25 animatori hanno realizzato 96 laboratori a favore dei 510 minori. I laboratori si sono articolati in 4 cicli: arte terapia; gioco-terapia e teatro-terapia; diritti umani; comunicazione sociale. N. 3 psicologi del GCMHP (uno per ogni area di intervento) hanno effettuato il monitoraggio della salute psicosociale dei bambini e, laddove necessario, sono intervenuti con sessioni mirate, oppure organizzando visite a domicilio, o ancora riferendo alcuni casi alle cliniche specializzate. Al termine dei laboratori i minori sono stati guidati nella raccolta di idee e proposte finalizzate alla formulazione di 6 iniziative di comunicazione sociale (3 mostre fotografiche e 3 cortometraggi), un’opportunità concreta per i bambini e gli adoloscenti di farsi portavoce dei propri diritti a partire dallasensibilizzazione della comunità a cui essi appartengono.- Incontri di sensibilizzazione con le famiglie degli stessi minori:Le famiglie dei bambini, particolarmente le madri, sono state coinvolte in 15 incontri di sensibilizzazione tenuti dagli psicologi del GCMHP, finalizzati a fornire un’informazione corretta sul disagio psicosociale causato dal trauma e a dare indicazioni concrete sulla gestione dei disagi manifestati dai bambini.- Campagna di informazione estesa alle comunità di provenienza dei minori:Sono stati realizzati 3 seminari informativi aperti ai membri delle comunità. Le tematiche affrontate sono state quelle della tutela dei diritti e meccanismi di protezione sociale dei minori colpiti da eventi traumatici, del disagio psicologico e possibili risposte della comunità, e della tutela dei diritti delle donne con particolare riferimento al diritto alla salute.

The Goal of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the wellbeing of children and youth affected by the conflict in the Gaza Strip through psychosocial support and the promotion and protection of human rights. The project’s target group is 510 children and youth (aged 8-17) living in particularly disadvantaged conditions, and aims to reach 314 families and the surrounding local communities for a total of approximately 1,500 beneficiaries.The project is implemented in collaboration with Sharek Youth Forum (dynamic forum run by youth for youth) and the Gaza Community Mental Health Program (non-governmental organization specialized in mental health and psychosocial assistance).The Action is based on four components, crosscutting and complementary to each other:- Capacity buildingTwo training courses - one training focused on psychosocial support carried out by GCMHP professionals, and one training focused on human rights and active citizenship carried out by trainers identified by Sharek - were held for 25 young graduates in Psychology and Education, with the aim of preparing specialized facilitators for activities with children. Trainings were both theoretical and practical.- Support for children and youth through educational and recreational activities, and psychosocial assistance. With the support of Sharek field facilitators, the 25 participants carried out 96 workshops for the 510 children. The workshops were modulated into 4 areas: art therapy, play therapy, drama therapy and human rights awareness-raising initiatives. 3 GCMHP psychologists (one per each area of intervention) monitored the psychosocial conditions of the children and, where needed, they intervened with single sessions; in other cases they organized home-visits, or in others they referred their cases to specialized clinics. At the end of the workshops, the children and youth were guided in a brainstorming activity for ideas and proposals, aimed at formulating 6 awareness-raising initiatives (3 photography exhibition and 3 short movies) focused on human rights and addressed to the local communities.- Awareness meetings with the children’s familiesChildren’s families, particularly their mothers, were involved in 15 meetings, held by GCMHP psychologists, offering correct information on the symptoms caused by traumatic events and suggesting tools for dealing with trauma symptoms at family level.- Awareness-raising workshops addressed to the communities involved in the project3 awareness workshops were organized for the communities. The seminars focused on the protection and promotion of children’s rights in this fragile context, including mental health and appropriate response mechanisms, and the protection and promotion of women rights with special focus on women’s health rights.

عائلة 314 للغاية، صعبة ظروف في يعيشون )17-8 )سن وشباب أطفال 510 هي للمشروع املستهدفة الفئة منتدى مع بالتعاون املشروع تنفيذ ويتم مستفيد. 1500 حوالي مجموعه ما أي احمللية، اجملتمعات إلى باإلضافة للصحة غزة وبرنامج الشباب( أجل من تعمل و شباب يديرها فلسطينية شبابية )مؤسسة الشبابي شارك واالجتماعية(. النفسية واملساعدة النفسية الصحة مجال في متخصصة حكومية غير )منظمة النفسية

يستند عمل املشروع على أربعة عناصر ، شاملة ومكملة لبعضها البعض :بناء القدرات

لقد مت تنفيذ دورتان تدريبيتان لعدد 25 من الشباب اخلريجني في مجال الصحة النفسية ومجال التربية بهدف حتضيرهم ليكونوا منشطني متخصصني في األنشطة اخلاصة باألطفال. الدورة االولى تركز على الدعم النفسي واالجتماعي و قد مت تنفيذها من قبل مهنيني من برنامج غزة للصحة النفسية، أما الدورة الثانية فتركز على تقنيات تنشيط األطفال وحقوق االنسان واملواطنة ، حيث مت تنفيذها من قبل مدربني اختيروا من قبل منتدى شارك، و كانت التدريبات نظرية وعملية على

حد سواء.دعم األطفال واملراهقني من خالل األنشطة الترفيهية اإلبداعية، وتقدمي املساعدة النفسية واالجتماعية:

لقد قام ال25 منشط و مبساعدة ميسرين ميدانيني من منتدى شارك، بتنفيذ 96 مختبر / لقاء مع 510 طفل. تلك اللقاءات قد مت تنظيمها على أربعة دورات بحيث أن كل دورة كانت تستهدف أحد اخملتبرات التالية: العالج من خالل الفن ، العالجي من

خالل اللعب، العالج من خالل املسرح ، حقوق اإلنسان ، مبادرات مجتمعية.و قد قام ثالثة أخصائيني نفسيني من برنامج غزة للصحة النفسية )واحد لكل منطقة من املناطق املستهدفة( مبراقبة مستوى الصحة النفسية اإلجتماعية لدى األطفال، كما وقاموا بعمل بعض التدخالت الفردية مع األطفال الذين تبني بعد املالحظة أنهم بحاجة إلى دعم نفسي أكثر تخصصاً. و قد متت هذه التدخالت عن طريق جلسات فردية مع األطفال، زيارات

منزلية ألهالي األطفال، حتويل بعض احلاالت إلى العيادات املتخصصة.مبادرات 6 بهم لصياغة اخلاصة واملقترحات األفكار العمل على جمع مت باألطفال اخلاصة اللقاءات / اخملتبرات نهاية بعد للتوعية و التواصل اجملتمعي “ ثالث معارض صور و ثالثة أفالم قصيرة” و ذلك إلتاحة الفرصة لألطفال و للمراهقني إليصال

صوتهم في املطالبة بحقوقهم عن طريق توعية اجملتمع الذي ينتمون إليه.لقاءات توعوية مع أهالي األطفال :

شارك أهالي األطفال وخصوصاً األمهات في 15 لقاء توعوي مت تنظيمها من قبل اخصائيني نفسيني من برنامج غزة للصحة النفسية. هدفت إلى تقدمي معلومات دقيقة عن األضرار النفسية واإلجتماعية الناجمة عن االحداث الصادمة التي تعرض

لها االطفال ، وقامت ايضا باقتراح اساليب حول كيفية التعامل مع أعراض الصدمة على مستوى األسرة.ورشات عمل توعوية موجهة الى اجملتمعات احمللية:

آليات و لقد مت مت عقد ثالثة ورشات عمل توعوية موجهة للمجتمعات احمللية حيث ناقشت مواضيع حول حماية احلقوق إمكانية مدى و إجتماعية نفسية ألضرار تعرضوا الذين و صادمة ألحداث تعرضوا الذين لالطفال اإلجتماعية احلماية مساهمة اجملتمع احمللي في التدخل من أجلهم . كما وركزت الورشات أيضاً على حماية حقوق املرأة مع التركيز بشكل خاص

على حقها في الصحة.

L’Obiettivo è di contribuire al miglioramento della gestione dei rifiuti a Gaza City e lo sviluppo di un sistema pilota di riciclaggio della plastica.Questo intervento é considerato emergenza prioritaria ed è stato fortemente richiesto dalla Municipalità di Gaza City al fine di evitare l’ulteriore deteriorarsi dell’ambiente urbano, di avviare un sistema di gestione e trasporto dei rifiuti verso le discariche, di ridurre la dipendenza dall’importazione di beni che possono essere prodotti localmente tramite il riciclaggio della plastica, e di migliorare le condizioni di lavoro dei rigattieri che traggono un minimo sostentamento economico dalle attività di raccolta della plastica.Il settore del riciclaggio della plastica (interamente privato) è instabile in quanto il mercato oscilla relativamente alla situazione politica. Prima del blocco della Striscia erano attive circa 100 fabbriche che si sono oggi ridotte della metà e lavorano a capacità inferiore dei loro macchinari, anche perché è venuto meno il mercato dell’esportazione.Si è effettuata una ricerca di manodopera e individuati 54 rigattieri che raccolgono regolarmente la plastica e 4 supervisori che la stoccano giornalmente. Si è poi implementato un sistema di controllo del materiale e di vendita settimanale a privati. I proventi derivati dall’attività serviranno all’acquisto di un camion da 20 tonnellate donato alla Municipalità e un carretto con un asino per ciascun rigattiere che ha preso parte al progetto. Ciò intende sostenere i rigattieri come fascia debole - quindi sfruttata dai privati - fornendo uno strumento di trasporto e quindi una maggiore autonomia e potenziale facilitazione a trovare fonti di sostentamento.Queste attività sono state integrate da una campagna condotta in 5 scuole e 3 università di Gaza City, relativa all’informazione sul riciclo e il riutilizzo delle materie industriali e alla gestione dei rifiuti. L’ ong locale PEDCOM (Palestinian Commission for the Development and Environment Protection) ha organizzato in questo quadro laboratori con i giovani in cui 40 studenti selezionati hanno ricevuto una formazione poi ritrasmessa agli altri colleghi e alle comunità in una giornata di sensibilizzazione.

Realizzazione di un sistema pilota di riciclaggio della plastica

The Goal is to improve garbage management in Gaza City and develop a pilot scheme for recycling plastics. This action responds to a primary emergency in the region, and has been strongly requested by the Gaza Municipality in order to halt the continuing deterioration of the environment, by fostering a system of management and transportation of garbage to rubbish dumps, by reducing the import of goods which can be produced locally through recycling plastics, and by improving the working conditions of the scavengers who receive an income from recycling.The plastic recycling sector (fully private) is unstable because the market depends directly on the political situation. Before the closure of the Strip there were approximately 100 factories, today only half of them are still functioning, and those that are continue with capacities lower than their technical potential because the products cannot be exported.COOPI employs 54 recycling scavengers and 4 stock-take supervisors daily, the materials are then sold to private factories weekly.The profits of the project will be used to buy a 20 tonne capacity truck for donation to the Municipality, and each scavenger involved will receive a cart with a donkey.The goal is to support the socially vulnerable persons exploited by private buyers who scavenge for an income, by offering a tool of transportation and therefore wider economic autonomy.The activities are integrated with an awareness campaign run in 5 schools and 3 universities of Gaza City about the recycling of industrial products and management of garbage. The local NGO PEDCOM (Palestinian Commission for the Development and Environment Protection) organized workshops for 40 students who then transferred their knowledge to the schools during an open day.

عمل جامعي القمامة الذين يعملون في اعادة تدوير البالستيكان قطاع تدوير البالستيك ) وهو قطاع خاص( غير مستقر الن السوق يعتمد على الظروف السياسية بشكل مباشر.

لقد كان هنالك حوالي 100 مصنع قبل حصار قطاع غزة، يعمل االن نصفهم فقط مع انخفاض في مقدرتهم على العمل بكفاءة وبسبب تعذر استيراد مولد ضرورية لعملية التدوير.

ان مؤسسة كوبي تشغل حوالي 54 عامل من عمال جمع البالستيك والتخزين و4 مشرفني يومياً كما ان لدينا نظام للرقابة على املواد التي يتم بيعها اسبوعيا الى املصانع اخلاصة.

كما ان كوبي سوف توجه دخل املشروع لشراء شاحنة حمولة 20 طن كنوع من التبرع للبلدية كما ان كل عامل سوف يتم التبرع له بعربة يجرها حمار.

ان الهدف من املشروع هو دعم العاملني في جمع البالستيك والطبقة االجتماعية الفقيرة – املستغلني من قبل املشتري – وتزويدهم بوسيلة النقل وبالتالي توسيع النطاق االقتصادي.

البالستيك وتصنيع وتتكامل هذه االنشطة مع حملة توعية في 5 مدارس و 3 جامعات من مدينة غزة حول اعادة تدوير املنتجات وادارة النفايات، ان املنظمة الغير حكومية االهلية BEDCOM )الهيئة الفلسطينية للتنمية وحماية البيئة( تنظم

Doing Gender: Centro di Riferimento per l’uguaglianza di Genere e l’Empowerment delle Donne nella Striscia di Gaza

The Aim of the project is to promote a change in the circumstances of women who live in the difficult and chronic emergency of Gaza Strip, addressing directly the node of gender inequa-lity and women’s human rights and increasing the individual and collective empowerment of women. through the creation of a Gender Resources Centre.The Gender Resources Center (GRC) is a center of services, meetings and initiatives established in the headquarters of PWWSD (Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development) in Gaza City which aims to promote awareness on gender roles among women indivi-dually and women’s associations, a spread culture of the women’s rights, as well as to foster women’s

active citizenship and employability in Gaza Strip through an approach integrated to needs.In a society characterized by a strong patriarchal system, the GRC intends to meet both the immediate needs of women’s empowerment and the need to promote a process of trans- formation in the gender relations in the medium and long term through the creation of models

of empowerment that can be reproduced by women and building a network with other and institutions already existing in the gorund.The beneficiaries of the project are 1000 women taking part in the GRC activities, a public

of about 5.000 people benefiting from an awareness campaign, 1.200 people reached by a Guide on Gender Analysis and a Report on gender discrimination.The main activities of the Gender Resources Center are:- the Help Desk for listening and guidance in the legal, medical and psychological fields addressed both to individual and associations of women;- the assessment of needs through focus group targeting women and Study Circles involving experts and professionals operating in gender issues;- the educational activities and Open Days for the promotion and dissemination of the culture of gender equality and women’s human rights;- the networking, open to institutions, local and international associations operating in gender issues;- two Seminars for the analysis of the situation of Gaza Strip from a gender perspective that has as final output a Guide on Gender Analysis;- the income generating for 22 women beneficiaries through the activation of two workshops for tailoring, financed by the Region Emilia Romagna;- the political empowerment and training of 20 young community leaders who will realize a Report on women’s rights violations;- the social communication through an awareness campaign coposed by radio programs and spots made with the support of community radio Shabab FM of PYU (Palestinian Youth Union);- public events to raise awareness about the Middle East conflict and the serious emergency situation that characterizes the Gaza Strip organized in Italy by COSPE and Orlando and financed by the Region Emilia Romagna.

مشروع مدر للدخل لـ 22 من النساء املستفيدات من خالل تنظيم تدريبني في اخلياطة، ممول من مقاطعة إمييليا رومانا.التمكني السياسي لتدريب 20 من قادة اجملتمع الشابات الالتي سوف يصدرن تقريراً عن انتهاكات حقوق املرأة.

التواصل االجتماعي من خالل حملة التوعية التى أقيمت بواسطة البرامج اإلذاعية والنقاط التى متت بدعم مجتمعي من راديو الشباب واحتاد الشباب الفلسطيني.

مت تنظيم أحداث عامة في إيطاليا لزيادة الوعي عن الصراع في الشرق األوسط وحالة الطوارئ اخلطيرة التى يتسم بها قطاع غزة بواسطة كوسبي وأورالندو بتمويل من مقاطعة إميليا رومانا.

Il progetto contribuisce al miglioramento delle condizioni di vita e sicurezza alimentare delle famiglie in condizione di povertà nella comunità beduina di Maslakh, dovuta principalmente alla politica israeliana di chiusura dei confini.Il CRIC lavora da 10 anni con le comunità beduine di tutta la Striscia di Gaza.Il 90% del reddito delle famiglie deriva dall’allevamento di pecore e capre, un settore in crisi a livello locale e i beduini in particolare sono tra le fasce più vulnerabili a seguito delle limitazioni dei movimenti, della riduzione dei pascoli e dell’aumento del prezzo dei mangimi e delle materie prime necessarie all’allevamento. I beduini risiedono su terre governative e quindi non sono autorizzati a nessun insediamento stabile che permetta uno sviluppo delle loro attività, soffrendo anche la discriminazione locale dovuta alle differenze culturali e sociali.Le attività del progetto mirano al miglioramento delle condizioni produttive di allevamento delle 122 famiglie di pastori della comunità di Maslakh, tutte sotto la soglia di povertà; 21 di loro vivono nelle tende. Il progetto coinvolge uomini e donne, rispettivamente responsabili dell’allevamento e della vendita degli animali.Il progetto ha previsto le seguenti attività:- visite veterinarie (quadro clinico, vaccinazioni, interventi preventivi di malattie per gli animali e le persone);- distribuzione di 194,25 tonnellate di un mangime arricchito di orzo e minerali, somministrato prima del parto, che migliora le condizioni di salute dell’agnello e la qualità del latte e inoltre permette un più rapido aumento del peso e un conseguente aumento del ricavi derivanti dalla vendita della carne (30% circa). Quest’intervento permette inoltre un risparmio delle risorse per le famiglie quantificabile in oltre 5 salari minimi;- istituzione di 85 nuovi ricoveri per animali che favoriscono una migliore gestione del gregge e razionalizzazione dell’allevamento, e che possano affrontare le stagioni con condizioni climatiche più estreme che rischiano di compromettere la produttività del gregge;- consegna di serbatoi di acqua per 1000 litri a famiglia per uso domestico e di allevamento, distribuite in contenitori da 220 e 500 l secondo le rispettive necessità e capacità di trasporto;- formazione (rivolta a uomini e donne) su nuove tecniche di allevamento e su pratiche preventive delle malattie;- miglioramento delle tende attraverso il cambio del nylon e del telo di copertura e la sostituzione dei sostegni di legno con strutture di ferro.A conclusione del progetto una giornata di sensibilizzazione coinvolgerà la comunità locale nella pulizia dell’area di Maslakh.

The project seeks to improve the harsh living conditions and lack of food security of the Bedouin communities of Maslakh, mainly caused by the Israeli policy of closure. CRIC has worked with the Bedouin communities of the Gaza Strip for 10 years.90% of the families’ income comes from the sheep farming, under the closures living conditions and economic productivity has severely decreased, affecting particularly the Bedouins who are the most vulnerable social group because of mobility limits, the decrease of pastures and the increasing price of feed. The Bedouins are located on government land and therefore are not allowed to any stable settlement for developing their activities; they also suffer from discrimination based on their cultural and social heritage.

The activities of the project aim to improve the production conditions of sheep breeding for the 122 Bedouin families of Maslakh, of whom 21 currently live in tents. The action involves men and women, who are both responsible for sheep farming and the selling of the animals.The activities implemented are:- Veterinarian visits (health examinations, vaccinations, disease prevention for animals and people)- Distribution of 194,25 tonnes of feed enriched with barley and minerals, given before birth, improving the health conditions of the lamb and the milk quality and making the weight grow larger and faster, therefore increasing their value (30%). This intervention also permits the families to save around 5 minimum salaries;- Building of 85 new animal shelters improving the management of the flock, and able to handle the most extreme climatic conditions for better productivity;- Donation of water tanks with 1000 litre capacity for each family for domestic use and for sheep farming, divided in tanks of 220 and 500 litres;- Training (for men and women) about new techniques of sheep farming and about diseases prevention methods;- Improvement of the tents, substituting them with nylon and other durable cover materials, and the replacement of the wood structures with iron ones.

At the end of the activities an awareness day will be organized involving the local community in the cleaning of Maklash area.

مؤسسة كريك االيطالية هي مؤسسة عاملة في قطاع غزة منذ عشرة أعوام حيث تقوم بتقدمي الدعم الالزم لألسر البدوية احملتاجة في قطاع غزة، و التي تعتمد على تربية األغنام بنسبة 90 % من دخلها ، تعد املهنة األكثر صعوبة في الوقت الراهن لعدم قدرة البدو على الرعي في املناطق احلدودية بسبب الوضع االمنى املتدهور و عدم وفرة هذه املراعى فى املدن، باالضافة الرتفاع أسعار األعالف. يسكن غالبية البدو في قطاع غزة على أراضي حكومية و ال يسمح لهم ببناء جتمعات ثابتة ذات بنية

حتتية و خدمات، فهم يعانون من التمييز القائم على أسس ثقافية و اجتماعية. قامت مؤسسة كريك بالتدخل و تنفيذ مشروع يهدف لتحسني الظروف املعيشية و األمن الغذائي لهؤالء البدو رعاة األغنام و التي تعاني من تدهورمتزايد بسبب احلصار االسرائيلى املفروض على قطاع غزة، إحدى أهداف هذا املشروع ايضا هو حتسني اذ القدرة اإلنتاجية لتربية املاشية ل 122 أسرة في منطقة املسلخ من بينهم 21 أسرة تعيش في ظروف صعبة للغاية يسكنون في خيام بالية ، هذا التدخل الذي تقوم به كريك يستفيد منه كال اجلنسني من نساء و رجال إذ يعمل كليهما في

تربية املاشية و أعمال الرعي .خالل هذا املشروع قامت كري بتنفيذ العديد من األنشطة التي تساعد البدو على حتسني قدراتهم اإلنتاجية و ذلك عن طريق تقدمي الرعاية البيطرية الالزمة و الفحوصات الطبية والنصائح و اإلرشاد وقدمت أيضا دورات تدريبية للرجال و النساء و ذلك

لتعليمهم التقنيات و الطرق احلديثة للتعامل مع أغنامهم و رفع مستوى معرفتهم في لوقاية من األمراض و األوبئة.الوالدة عملية قبل لألغنام وإطعامها للمرضعات احلليب نوعية لتحسني املركزة اجلافة األعالف من طن 194.25 وزعت

لتحسني الظروف الصحية للحمالن و اإلسهام بزيادة أوزانها، وبالفغل ازدادت بالفعل بنسبة 30% بفعل هذا الدعم .كما و وفر املشروع 85 مأوى للحيوانات و ذلك للعمل على حتسني إدارة القطيع و تسهيل التعامل معه أثناء الظروف املناخية اخملتلفة و قدمت للمستفيدين من املشروع خزانات مياه بأحجام مختلفة جزء منها لالستخدام املنزلي و هي حجم 1000 لتر و أخرى لتوفير املياه لألغنام فئة 500 و 220 لتر، و مت العمل على حتسني ظروف مساكنهم من خالل توزيع النايلون و الشبك املعدني للحماية من األمطار في فصل الشتاء. في نهاية املشروع سيتم تنظيم يوم عمل لتوعية السكان و إطالق حملة

نظافة للتجمع مبشاركة أهالي التجمع حلثهم و تشجيعهم على العمل بروح اجلماعة.

L’Obiettivo del progetto è di promuovere la cura dell’infanzia nel Governatorato Nord della Striscia di Gaza e la creazione di spazi sicuri per i bambini quale occasione per aumentare gli elementi che favoriscono la resilienza della popolazione, sottoposta alle condizioni penalizzanti generate dal conflitto. Si intende migliorare i servizi offerti dalle scuole materne e dal sistema educativo. La situazione degli asili a Gaza è estremamente precaria e fa fronte ad un vuoto istituzionale e ad una mancanza di servizi e di metodologie specifiche per le scuole dell’infanzia. Il Ministero dell’Educazione non ha programmi educativi appropriati e il settore privato reitera il modello rigido di alfabetizzazione delle scuole elementari che non offre ai bambini spazi ricreativi negli anni della prima infanzia. La “Cast Lead” ha gravemente deteriorato questa situazione creando l’emergenza di un forte sostegno psicosociale. Le stesse strutture educative hanno subito molti danni, in particolare nell’area Nord che è stata tra le più colpite dall’attacco.L’intervento risponde al piano nazionale per la prima infanzia EFA che il Governo Palestinese si è dato per il raggiungimento degli obiettivi del Millennio. L’azione coinvolge direttamente soggetti della società civile palestinese attivi nel settore dell’educazione promuovendo la loro attiva partecipazione nel lavoro sociale e creando occasioni di capacity building. Le organizzazioni Partner sono il REC (Remedial Education Center), il TDP (Theatre Day Production) e il PGFTU (Palestinian General Federation of Trade Union).Il programma è rivolto a 31 scuole materne, 6000 bambini e 488 insegnanti.Le attività implementate sono divise in:capacity building e empowerment del personale degli asili e del Partner locale,cura degli ambienti educativi,sensibilizzazione della comunità locale all’educazione e ai diritti.

Il programma include attività eterogenee. Vengono implementati corsi di formazione teorici e pratici per il personale dirigente in gestione dei servizi educativi, per le insegnanti e gli educatori del REC in supporto psicosociale, attività psicomotorie e in metodologie educative espressive legate all’uso del teatro. Viene fornito un supporto tecnico agli asili, anche tramite a opere di ristrutturazione (15 scuole ristrutturate) e distribuzione di materiali didattici.Gli operatori del ludobus implementano attività ricreative negli asili e in strada nelle zone più colpite dall’attacco israeliano. La comunità locale che include 3000 famiglie - è coinvolta in attività ludiche di sensibilizzazione ai temi dell’educazione attiva e al gioco, all’importanza della scuola materna come ambito di formazione e sviluppo psicosociale del bambino, al ruolo della donna e ai diritti del lavoro nell’ambito scolastico.

The Goal of the project is to promote child care in the North Governorate of the Gaza Strip through the creation of safe spaces for children as an opportunity for increasing the resilience of inhabitants suffering from the harsh living conditions caused by the conflict. The project aims to improve the services offered by both kindergartens and the educational system.The situation of kindergartens in Gaza is extremely precarious and faces an institutional lack of services and methodologies. The Ministry of Education does not have appropriate educational programmes, and the private sector reproduce the model of the primary schools, with a rigid system of literacy, depriving children of recreational spaces and activities.Operation “Cast Lead” harshly impacted this situation creating an emergency in the necessary provisions of strong psychosocial support. The educational structures themselves were damaged, particularly in the Northern area, one of the most bombarded in the attack.The project responds to the National Plan for Infancy, EFA, that the Palestinian Government set as goal for the end of the Millennium. The action directly involves Palestinian actors working in the field of education, promoting their active role in social work and creating opportunities of capacity building. Local Partner Organizations are REC (Remedial Education Center), TDP (Theatre Day Production) and PGFTU (Palestinian General Federation of Trade Union). Italian partners are Nexus, Anpas and Cisp.The program involves 31 kindergartens, 6000 children and 488 teachers.The activities are divided between:Capacity building and empowerment of the staff of schools and local partnersThe care of educational spacesAwareness raising for the local community on education and human rightsThe programme includes different activities. Theoretical and practical trainings are run for the managers of the education services, for teachers and educators. The trainings cover a wide range of subjects including active learning methodologies, theatre expression, women worker’s rights. Technical support is offered to the kindergartens, through rehabilitation work (15 schools rehabilitated) and the distribution of didactic material. The playbus operators, with a mobile unit equipped with games, implement recreational activities in the kindergartens and in the street in the most disadvantaged areas. The local community – including 3000 families – is involved in recreational activities and social events raising awareness on the topics of education , right to play and on the value of the kindergartens as a context for the psychosocial development of the child. The project is co-funded by the Region Emilia Romagna and supported by the solidarity campaign of the Italian trade union CGIL.

L’offensiva militare israeliana, terminata nel gennaio 2009, ha causato ingenti danni alle infrastrutture civili palestinesi, soprattutto nelle aree settentrionali e orientali della Striscia.Le infrastrutture idriche sono state sicuramente fra quelle più colpite causando una notevole limitazione della capacità delle autorità locali a gestire questo bene primario. I campi non sono più coltivabili e gli agricoltori affrontano l’impatto economico e sociale della privazione del reddito famigliare.L’intervento mira a risolvere l’emergenza ristabilendo le condizioni produttive in 740 dunum di terreni che permettano il sostentamento delle famiglie di agricoltori (140 famiglie) e l’ingaggio di manodopera stagionale locale. Ciò permetterà la riattivazione e l’espansione del ciclo produttivo e quindi il miglioramento delle condizioni economiche e sociali dell’area interessata.Ciò include il ripristino delle infrastrutture principali per la ripresa dei servizi minimi alla popolazione: riparazione dei pozzi danneggiati, riparazione delle reti idriche di irrigazione, fornitura di nuove apparecchiature per l’estrazione di acqua da sottosuolo, riparazione dei serbatoi danneggiati e fornitura di equipaggiamenti per il trattamento delle acque ed inoltre il ripristino di infrastrutture idriche per uso produttivo.Sono in corso la riabilitazione di 13 pozzi (con interventi di perforazione per quelli interamente distrutti e riparazione di quelli danneggiati), la distribuzione di tubi per la rete irrigua principale e l’analisi dell’acqua per rilevarne le caratteristiche chimiche al fine di ottimizzare e migliorare sfruttamento delle risorse, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la compatibilità con le colture.

Allo scopo di sviluppare la sostenibilità dell’intervento, gli agricoltori sono stati coinvolti in trainings, finalizzati a:- aumentare le conoscenze sulla situazione dell’acquifero a Gaza;- informare sull’impatto sulla salute dell’acqua di Gaza;- formare sulla manutenzione dei nuovi sistemi che vengono forniti da GVC secondo le necessità (nuovi motori diesel, pompe elettriche sommerse) e su tecniche innovative di irrigazione e coltivazione che ottimizzino l’uso delle risorse e le potenzialità specifiche dei terreni.GVC e Overseas hanno collaborato sulla riabilitazione di terreni raggiunti da due pozzi nell’area di Beit Hanoun.

The recent Israeli military offensive has caused extensive damage to Palestinian civilian infrastructure, especially in the northern and eastern areas of the Strip. Water infrastructure and sanitation were among those most affected by the Israeli military attack, and led to further limiting the capacity of local authorities to manage this primary resource. The fields cannot be cultivated anymore and the farmers face the economic and social consequences of income deprivation.The intervention aims to solve the emergency by re-establishing the production conditions of 740 dunums of fields for farmer support (140 families) and employing local seasonal workers. This will ensure the activation and extension of the production cycle and the empowerment of the socio-economic conditions in the area.The action includes the rehabilitation of key infrastructures for the resumption of minimum services to the population, digging new wells and repairing those that are damaged, repair of water and sanitation networks, repair of damaged tanks, and the provision of equipment for water treatment. The priority for the project’s actions is the restoration of water infrastructure to productive use.13 wells are under rehabilitation (through perforation for the fully destroyed ones and recovering for the damaged ones), primary systems from the well to farmers fields are installed (4-inch pipes and storage systems and distribution), water analyses are run in order to improve the efficacy of the resources, particularly in regards to the compatibility of the cultivations.In order to develop the sustainability of the intervention beyond this emergency program, the farmers have been involved in training courses in order to:Improve their knowledge of the water situation in GazaEducate about the impact of the water on human healthTrain farmers on the maintenance of the new irrigation systems furnished by GVC (new diesel motors, electric pumps), and on innovative irrigation and cultivation techniques optimizing the resource utilization and the specific potentials of the fields. GVC and Overseas collaborated on the rehabilitation of 2 fields in the area of Beit Hanoun.

إن اإلعتداءات األخيرة للجيش اإلسرائيلي أحلق دماراً واسعا بالبنية التحتية الفلسطينية، باالخص في مناطق شمال و شرق القطاع. البنية التحتيه للمياه و الصرف الصحي كانا بالتأكيد من بني تلك األكثر تضررا باإلعتداء العسكري والتي ستزيد من تقليص قدرة السلطات احمللية على ادارتها. لم يعد باالمكان زراعة احلقول ويواجه املزارعون تبعات اقتصاديه و اجتماعية بسبب احلرمان من الدخل. يهدف هذا التدخل الطارئ اعادة احياء ظروف انتاج احلقول الزراعيه مبساحة 740 دومن، لدعم 140 عائلة و تشغيل عماله محلية موسمية. هذا سوف يضمن تنشيط و امتداد حلقة االنتاج و متكني الظروف االقتصادية و اإلجتماعية في املنطقة. واملشروع يتضمن إعادة تأهيل أهم منشآت البنية التحتية الستئناف تقدمي احلد األدنى من اخلدمات املياه والصرف الصحي وإصالح اخلزانات املتضررة وتوفير ابار جديدة وإصالح شبكات ابار مدمرة وحفر للسكان،عبر إصالح اعادة قيد بئر 13 اإلنتاجي. لالستخدام للمياه التحية البنيه تأهيل إلعادة األولوية وأعطيت كما املياه. معاجلة معدات التأهيل ) و ذلك من خالل حفر كامل لالبار املدمرة كليا و اصالح املدمر منها( و تثبيت أنظمة أولية من البئرو حتى احلقول )

أنابيب 4- إنش و أنظمة تخزين و توزيع(، و يجرى حتليل املياه لتحسني إستغالل املوراد مبا يتوافق مع الزراعة.و لضمان استدامة التدخل بعيداعن برنامج الطوارئ ، مت إشراك الفالحني في دورات تدريبية كي:

تطوير معرفة وضع املياه في غزة.اإلعالم عن تأثير املياه على صحة اإلنسان.

تدريب املزارعني على صيانة أنظمة الري اجلديدة بواسطة جي في سي )محركات ديزل جديدة، و مضخات كهربائيه( و طرق الري املبتكرة و تقنيات الزراعة و االستغالل األمثل للموارد في احلقول.

يتعاون كال من جمعية جي في سي و جمعية أوفر سيز على إعادة تاهيل حقلني في منطفة في بيت حانونو املشروع ممول بشراكة من إقليم أميليا رومانيا.

L’Obiettivo del progetto è di migliorare le condizioni di vita delle famiglie rurali palestinesi sotto il profilo della sicurezza alimentare incrementando la produzione agricola nelle aree del Nord e del Centro della Striscia di Gaza e di supportare le famiglie rurali nel recupero ed utilizzo del capitale agricolo (terreni aperti e serre) e delle relative strutture irrigue distrutte durante l’ultima guerra e le successive incursioni.Le attività intendono migliorare le condizioni di sicurezza alimentare delle comunità agricole, tramite il sostegno alle famiglie di agricoltori e alle piccole aziende agricole direttamente colpite dall’offensiva israeliana e sostenere la ripresa della produzione di ortaggi e alberi da frutto, la cui presenza sul mercato locale è drasticamente diminuita a causa delle distruzioni dei terreni e delle restrizioni imposte nelle zone vicino al confine, tradizionalmente molto produttive.Si sono quindi identificati i terreni coinvolgendo 94 famiglie (circa 800 beneficiari) e 60 lavoratori per le riabilitazioni con la creazione di circa 1.260 giornate lavorative. La riabilitazione ha interessato nel complesso 165 dunum di cui 113 di campi aperti e 52 di serre.

Si è intervenuti con:- riabilitazione dei campi aperti e delle serre;- riparazione dei sistemi di irrigazione e introduzione di sistemi di irrigazione innovativi, che ottimizzino l’uso delle risorse idriche;- distribuzione di sementi e piantine (ulivi e agrumi per i campi aperti e ortaggi per le serre);- sistema di trattamento integrato per la protezione della “tuta absoluta” e altre malattie delle piante (Integrated Pest Management);- formazione ai contadini sia uomini che donne (capofamiglia nel 15% dei casi);- formazione sul campo, effettuata da agronomi specializzati, sull’Integrated Pest Management per la protezione ed il miglioramento della qualità dei prodotti agricoli.Le formazioni hanno dato vita a due manuali sull’ Integrated Pest Management, uno specifico sugli infestanti dei vegetali coltivati in serra e l’atro per agrumi e ulivi.Il progetto fa fronte a una situazione di emergenza e al contempo rimette in moto un processo produttivo pre-esistente, rianimando quindi l’attività agricola ed il sistema economico ad esso connesso. La sostenibilità è garantita anche dalla partecipazione del Partner locale UWAC (Union of Agricultural Work Committee), un’associazione che si occupa di sviluppo rurale capillarmente diffusa su tutto il territorio della Striscia.Overseas e GVC hanno collaborato sulla riabilitazione di terreni raggiunti da due pozzi nell’area di Beit Hanoun.

The Goal of the project is to improve the living conditions of rural Palestinian families in the sphere of food security by increasing agricultural production in the Northern and Central areas of the Gaza Strip. This will be implemented by supporting families in the rehabilitation and utilization of farm assets (open fields and greenhouses) and by restoring the irrigation structures destroyed during operation “Cast Lead” and the ensuing Israeli incursions.The activities aim at promoting the food security of agricultural communities through the provision of support to agricultural families directly hit by the attack, and to foster an increased production of vegetables and fruits trees, which diminished in the traditionally productive border areas as a result of “Cast Lead”.94 families (800 beneficiaries) and 60 workers have been involved in the rehabilitation generating 1260 working days, rehabilitating 165 dunums (113 open fields and 52 greenhou-ses).The Program included:- Rehabilitation of open fields and greenhouses- Repairing of irrigation systems and the introduction of innovative new ones; optimizing water resources- Distribution of seeds and small plants (olive trees and citrus fruits for the open fields and vegetables for the greenhouses)Integrated treatment for protection against “tuta absoluta” and other plant pathogens (Integrated Pest Management)- Training men and women (heads of the household- 15% of the total beneficiaries)- Training in the field, managed by agronomists specializing in Integrated Pest Management for the protection and the improvement of the quality of goods.These trainings resulted in the publication of 2 manuals regarding Integrated Pest Management, one for vegetable pests and one for citrus fruits and olive trees.The project confronted an emergency situation and at the same time reactivated an anterior production process, stimulating the economic surrounding connected to it.The sustainability of this project is guaranteed by the continuing contributions of the local Partner UWAC (Union of Agricultural Work Committee) – an association dealing with rural development throughout the Gaza Strip.

املفتوحة والدفيئات( وكذلك منشآت الري التى دمرت خالل عملية “الرصاص املصبوب” والتوغالت اإلسرائيلية التى تلتها.األنشطة تهدف إلي حتسني األمن الغذائي في اجملتمعات الزراعية من خالل دعم عائالت املزارعني الذين تضرروا بشكل مباشر املناطق التى كانت أكثر التى قل عددها في مناطق احلدود والفواكه، إنتاج أشجار اخلضراوات الهجوم األخير ولرعاية من إنتاجاُ. مت إشراك 94 عائلة )800 مستفيد( و 60 عامل في إعادة التأهيل، في 1260 يوماً من أيام العمل، متت إعادة تأهيل 165

Il progetto si rivolge agli allevatori beduini la cui unica risorsa di sostentamento è la pastorizia. In particolare sono coinvolte 4 comunità beduine (250 famiglie di allevatori) della zona di Al Mathahen, Mawasi Khan Younis, Qizan Rashwan e Qizan An Najjar.L’Obiettivo del progetto è di migliorare le condizioni di vita della popolazione che vive di pastorizia ed allevamento nella Striscia di Gaza e rafforzare la sicurezza alimentare di pastori e allevatori attraverso nutrizione, salute e produzioni animali.In considerazione dei gravissimi danni prodotti dall’ultimo attacco israeliano e dal perdurare del blocco imposto su tutta la Striscia, si sta intervenendo sia con misure di pura emergenza, sia con un’attività di ripristino delle potenzialità produttive e di investimento nel miglioramento della capacità locali, per favorire un processo di autogestione delle risorse. Infatti l’ approccio integrato applicato fin dalle prime fase dell’emergenza mira a rafforzare la sostenibilità futura degli strumenti sviluppati con la popolazione. Ciò porterà ad un rafforzamento delle capacità gestionali locali e ad una crescita uniforme degli allevamenti nel breve e medio termine.

Si stanno implementando tre tipi di attività:

1. Emergenza post-guerra :- distribuzione di mangimi, spugne e ormoni, medicinali.2. Ripristino delle capacità produttive:- ristrutturazione dei ricoveri per animali con materiali per copertura e serbatoi d’acqua;- formazione sul campo (training sulla gestione del gregge, sulle spugne ormoni e laproduzione latticini, training veterinari);- assistenza veterinaria.3. Supporto tecnico a medio/lungo termine:- produzione di foraggio utilizzando reflui domestici trattati con i fito-depurazione;- rafforzamento delle capacità produttive relative alla trasformazione del latte;- produzione di pellet da palma da dattero per la nutrizione animale;- programma di video-conferenze come sistema di mutua formazione tra i tecnici di Tubas e quelli di Gaza che formeranno poi gli allevatori.

This project addresses the issues faced by Bedouin breeders for whom sheep breeding is the only resource and source of income.Four main Bedouin communities inhabit the area of Al Mathahen, Mawasi Khan Younis, Qizan Rashwan and Qizan An Najjar (250 families of breeders).The Goal of the project is to improve the living conditions of the population dependent on sheep breeding in the Gaza Strip, and to strengthen the food safety of shepherds and sheep farmers through Nutrition, Health and Animal Production.The last Israeli attack and the consequent closure imposed on the Gaza Strip resulted in severe damages; Oxfam Italia is attending to both emergency measures as well as activities aimed at re-establishing production potential and investment within local capacities. This aims to foster a process of self-management of resources; in fact, the integrative approach guarantees the future sustainability of the tools developed within the community. This will result in a strengthening of local management capacities and a uniformed growth of sheep breeding.

L’Obiettivo del progetto è di assicurare la protezione dei bambini e delle bambine che vivono nelle zone della Striscia di Gaza più colpite dal conflitto, dalla violenza, dall’abuso, dall’abbandono e dallo sfruttamento mediante un sistema unico di riferimento ed un sostegno psicosociale ed educativo. Si mira, inoltre, a contribuire allo sviluppo di un sistema comunitario nelle zone più colpite dal conflitto che protegga l’infanzia dai rischi di violazione dei diritti fondamentali. Al meccanismo di protezione esistente si aggiungono una serie di strumenti preventivi, quali la sensibilizzazione dell’intera comunità, con particolare attenzione all’ambiente scolastico, in merito ai rischi che coinvolgono bambini/e (quali detentori del diritto ad essere protetti) ed adulti (quali soggetti responsabili per la loro protezione) e lo sviluppo di capacità e competenze per monitorare, prevenire e ridurre il rischio di violazione dei diritti a casa, a scuola e all’interno della comunità.

Nel 2009 Save the Children Italia ha implementato un progetto simile rivolto a 4000 bambini dai 6 ai 12 anni e le loro madri in Centri di Protezione per l’Infanzia (Child Protection Committes, CPCs) creati con la partecipazione attiva delle CBOs (Community Based Organizations) locali. I CPCs sono stati costituiti avendo cura di assicurare la rappresentatività dell’intera comunità mediante la partecipazione attiva di rappresentanti delle associazioni locali e comunitarie, membri della municipalità, ufficiali di polizia, insegnanti, dottori, genitori, Mukhtars, Imams e responsabili della protezione dell’infanzia all’interno delle comunità.Quest’anno il Programma si estende a 960 giovani tra i 14 e i 18 anni. Si realizzano sessioni psico-sociali volte a attenuare disagi comportamentali e difficoltà di apprendimento e si fornisce sostegno scolastico in matematica, arabo e inglese. Lo scopo, è quello di assicurare un sostegno extracurriculare ai bambini con difficoltà di apprendimento e particolarmente a rischio di abbandono scolastico, offrendo loro la possibilità di poter recuperare nelle materie in cui sono particolarmente deboli.Gli adolescenti sono inoltre coinvolti direttamente in campagne di advocacy sui diritti dei minori. Essi formano un comitato di 100 membri (50 ragazzi e 50 ragazze) che organizza attività di sensibilizzazione rivolte all’intera comunità. Avranno luogo diverse attività, tra cui conferenze pubbliche, attività sportive sul diritto al gioco, esposizioni di disegni realizzati dai bambini, Open Days e parate a livello locale, attività di recupero ambientale all’interno delle scuole e delle CBOs per assicurare spazi sicuri ai bambini. Alla componente educativa si aggiunge un servizio di supporto psicologico fornito da 4 psicologi, che ricevono i casi nei CPCs se riferiscono i bambini a servizi professionali secondo i bisogni specifici di ciascun bambino. Finora oltre 250 casi sono stati assistiti dagli psicologi. Le famiglie sono attivamente coinvolte nel progetto mediante incontri mensili con insegnanti ed educatori.

The Goal of the project is to ensure the protection of children living in the most affected zones in the Gaza Strip from violence, abuse neglect and exploitation.Moreover it aims to contribute to the development of a community-based mechanism in the most affected communities that protects children from violations of their fundamental rights.The mechanism initiated by the project activities also include a set of preventive tools, such as awareness raising sessions for the whole community, with particular reference to the educational system, on the risks faced by the children (as holders of rights to be protected) and adults (as entities responsible for their protection), we will also develop the skills and expertise to monitor, prevent and reduce the risk of rights violations at home, at school and within the community.In 2009 Save the Children Italia implemented a similar project addressing 4000 children from 6 to 12 years old and their mothers in the two local Child Protection Committees (CPC’s) created with the active involvement of CBOs (community-based organizations), members of the municipality, police officers, teachers, doctors, parents, Mukhtars and Imams.In 2010 the Program was extended to 960 young boys and girls from 14 to 18 years old. Experienced staff members from our local partner, PCDCR, also conducted psychosocial sessions, with the goal of ensuring provisional support to children through extra-curricular learning, particularly targeting those at high risk of dropping out; offering them the opportunity to be able to catch up in those subjects where they are particularly weak.The teenagers are further involved in advocacy campaigns for their fundamental rights. They constitute a committee of 100 members (50 girls and 50 boys), which organizes awareness activities addressed to the whole community.Several activities take place, such as public meetings, sports activities, exhibitions of children works; open days and parades, interventions of environmental clean-ups within schools and in the CBO’s guarantees safe spaces for children.Furthermore, support is offered by 4 psychologists who take care of individual cases on a practical level. So far 250 cases have been taken into account. The families are directly involved in the project through monthly meetings with teachers and educators.

لتحسني اخلدمات املقدمة من قبل رياض األطفال والنظام التعليمي.ان وضع دور احلضانة في غزة صعب للغاية حيث تواجه نقص في اخلدمات واملناهج املؤسسية، وإن وزارة التربية والتعليم ليس لديها برامج تعليمية مناسبة ، والقطاع اخلاص يقوم بتكرير النموذج من املدارس االبتدائية ، مع نظام صارم حملو األمية في

املدارس االبتدائية ، والذي من خالله يحرم األطفال من اللعب والنشاطات الترفيه .عملية » الرصاص املصبوب« أدت إلي تدهور الوضع التعليمي مما خلق حالة طوارئ بحاجة ماسة للدعم االجتماعي النفسي.

البنية التعليمية أيضاً تضررت ، ال سيما في املناطق الشمالية ، أكثر املناطق التى تعرضت للهجوم.هذا املشروع يتجاوب مع اخلطة الوطنية للطفولة ، والتى وضعته احلكومة الفلسطينية كهدف ليتم حتقيقه مع نهاية العمل في النشطة لتعزيز مساهمتهم التعليم في مجال الفلسطينيون الناشطون تشرك املشروع أنشطة األلفية. االجتماعي وخلق فرص لبناء القدرات. املؤسسات الشريكة هي مركز اإلرشاد التربوي ، مؤسسة أيام املسرح، وإحتاد نقابات

L’Obiettivo del progetto è di contenere il grave e crescente deterioramento dello stato di salute della popolazione della Striscia di Gaza, soprattutto dei neonati e dei bambini/e.In particolare si intende migliorare la capacità di prevenzione e trattamento dell’anemia per carenza di ferro per bambini sotto ai 5 anni di età e sostenere la presa in carico delle malattie croniche e della disabilità infantili attraverso il potenziamento di servizi sanitari di base ed attività comunitarie di educazione e sensibilizzazione nelle aree coinvolte.Terre des hommes Italia ha giá condotto (nell’ambito del programma emergenza 8941) un intervento nutrizionale in due delle quattro zone target qui proposte, e per Izbet Beit Hanoun e Umm al Nasser l’intervento si configura pertanto come continuazione delle attività.Nell’esperienza precedente è stato possibile rilevare una prevalenza di anemia da carenza di ferro, dovuta soprattutto a cause alimentari. La qualità dell’alimentazione è molto peggiorata negli ultimi anni in seguito alla diminuzione dei redditi famigliari e all’aumento del costo della vita causato dal blocco della Striscia.Di conseguenza le condizioni di salute della popolazione sono andate deteriorandosi e ciò ha avuto evidentemente conseguenze più gravi sui bambini. Il progetto è implementato con la collaborazione del PMRS (Palestinian Medical Relief Society) che mette a disposizione personale locale composto da medici e infermieri qualificati. Nell’ambito del progetto sono state svolte, con un esperto italiano, formazioni sugli aspetti specifici del progetto, aggiornamenti dei medici e uniformazione delle metodologie dello staff.Tre sono le cliniche interessate, una sul confine tra Beit Lahya e Jabalia. Si sono sottoposti a controllo della crescita ed esami del sangue circa 4500 bambini sotto i 5 anni di cui 2500 sono stati presi in cura perché risultati anemici e/o malnutriti o affetti da altre patologie. Si è quindi avviata la somministrazione di vitamine, micro-nutrienti e ferro.Si è inoltre avviata regolare assistenza a domicilio presso le famiglie, come “counselling famigliare nutrizionale” in rapporto diretto con le donne (madri e nonne). Ciò allo scopo di intervenire caso per caso e sensibilizzare alla terapia dei bambini, all’educazione alimentare e alle qualità nutritive degli alimenti tradizionali per prevenire uno sviluppo patologico delle carenze e per migliorare le abitudini dell’intero nucleo famigliare.Al programma è stata integrata assistenza ai bambini disabili tramite il “Community Based Rehabilitation”, che cerca di sopperire alle carenze del settore pubblico e che si discosta dalla linea di intervento prevalente tra le organizzazioni internazionali le quali sostengono principalmente feriti e mutilati di guerra.L’assistenza domiciliare include inoltre bambini colpiti da patologie croniche, per i quali Terres des Hommes interviene in particolare a sostegno dei casi sociali e con l’acquisto di medicinali specifici in caso di rottura di stock.L’azione preventiva è implementata con la comunità tramite attività educative di sensibilizzazione sull’igiene, la salute e la nutrizione nelle scuole e negli asili locali

The Goal of the project is to address the increased health deterioration of Gaza Strip inhabi-tants, particularly in regards to children and newborns.In particular it aims to improve the capacity of the prevention and treatment of anaemia (caused by iron deficiency) in children under 5 years, to support the alleviation of chronic diseases and disability through the empowerment of basic health services, and to raise awareness and implement educational activities within the community.Terre des hommes Italia has already run a prevention action in 2 of the 4 areas involved (through the Emergency Program 8941); therefore in Izbet Beit Hanoun and Umm al Nasser the activities will be a continuation from last year. In evaluating past experiences, the prevalence of anaemia due to iron deficiency appears to be primarily caused by limited or inadequate dietary habits. Diet worsened in the last few years because of the decrease in familial income and the increase of living costs caused by the closure of the Strip; therefore the health conditions of the inhabitants decreased, with children being the most severely effectedThe project is implemented in collaboration with the PMRS (Palestinian Medical Relief Society), which provides qualified local doctors and nurses. During the project several trainings were held on the specific aspects of the program, medical updates and standardization of the staff methodologies, spearheaded by an Italian expert The action involved 3 clinics (one on the border between Beit Lahya and Jabalia). 4500 children under 5 years have been examined and 2500 have received treatment for anaemia, malnutrition and other diseases. They received vitamins, micronutrients, minerals and iron.Furthermore, “family counselling” is being provided in the form of regular home care visits for women (mothers and grandmothers). This aims to address individual cases and raise awareness on the child’s therapy, diet education, and on the nutritional value of traditional food in order to prevent a pathologic development of the diseases and to improve daily dietary habits.The Program also includes integrated assistance to disabled children through the “Community based Rehabilitation” programme aimed at supplying aid where there is a lack of public support. This practice sets it apart from the common intervention programmes of international NGO’s, which traditionally restricts support to those disabled in war, conversely, home care is extended to children affected by pathological diseases, to whom specific medications are also donated.This prevention campaign is implemented through educational and awareness activities within the community, local schools and kindergartens.

تقدمي الدعم الصحي والغذائي لألطفال الضعفاء في محافظة الشمال من قطاع غزة

الهدف من هذا املشروع هو أن حتافظ علي النمو الصحي املتزايد لسكان قطاع غزة ، وخاصة املواليد اجلدد واألطفال. ويهدف بشكل خاص إلي حتسني القدرة الوقائية والعالجيا ملرض األنيميا بسبب فقر الدم لعنصر احلديد لألطفال ذوي األعمار األقل من خمس سنوات ولدعم وعالج األمراض املزمنة واإلعاقات من خالل تقوية اخلدمات الصحية األساسية وأيضاً من خالل

أنشطة التوعية والتعليم التى ننفذها مع اجملتمع.قامت مؤسسة أرض اإلنسان – إيطاليا بتنفيذ نشاطات وقائية في منطقتان من املناطق األربع املتفق على تنفيذ األنشطة بها) من خالل مشروع الطوارئ رقم 8941(، لذلك سوف تستكمل األنشطة في كل من عزبة بيت حانون وأم النصر التى مت تنفيذها في السنة املاضية. من خالل اخلبرة املاضية ظهر لنا أن أنيميا نقص احلديد يسببها بشكل رئيسي عادات االمتناع

عن األكل.نظام التغذية أصبح أسوأ في السنني املاضية بسبب نقص الدخل املادي للعائلة وغالء املعيشة الذي سببه احلصار املفروض

علي القطاع. لذلك أصبحت الظروف الصحية للسكان أسوأ مما كانت عليه وأصبحت لها أثراً أكبر علي األطفال.املشروع يتم تنفيذه بالتعاون مع مؤسسة اإلغاثة الطبية الفلسطينية والتى تشرك أطباء وممرضني أكفاء. خالل فترة تنفيذ التحديثات وفي البرنامج، إيطاليني في مجاالت محددة من التدريب مت عقدها بحضور خبراء العديد من حلقات املشروع

الطبية القياسية علي طرق عمل املوظفني.أعمارهم يقارب 4500 طفل ما وجباليا(. بيت الهيا بني احلدود بالقرب من واحدة ( عيادات ثالث تتضمن املشروع أنشطة أقل من خمس سنوات متت معاينتهم ومن ثم قمنا بإخضاع 2500 منهم للعالج من األنيميا وسوء التغذية وأمراض أخرى. أصبحوا يتلقون العالج بالفيتامينات، واملغذيات الصغيرة جداً ، األمالح واحلديد. واملزيد من هذا العناية العائلية يتم تنفيذها في إطار “ اإلرشاد العائلي” بالتعاون مع النساء ) األمهات أو األجداد(. والذي يهدف بدوره إلى العناية باحلاالت الفردية ولزيادة السيئ في التطور ملنع الطبيعي للطعام الغذائية واجلودة التغذية تعليم إطار وعلي األطفال، بينهم علي عالج الوعي

األمراض ولتحسني عادات التغذية.البرنامج أيضاً يشمل علي املساعدة املتكاملة لألطفال ذوي اإلعاقات من خالل “إعادة التأهيل اجملتمعية” حملاولة توفير النقص في الدعم العام. هذه املمارسة تنفذ بعيداً عن إطار الدعم الشائع بني املؤسسات الدولية التى بالعادة توفر الدعم للمعاقني

جراء أضرار احلرب.أدوية خاصة متبرع بها. والذين يتم تقدمي الدائمة الذين يعانون من األمراض أيضا لتشمل األطفال العائلية متتد العناية

حملة الوقاية تنفذ خالل أنشطة التعليم والتوعية مع اجملتمع في رياض األطفال واملدارس احمللية.
