NATURES FORMS IN FELT WORKSHOP WITH ANITA LARKINTwo day workshop: Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 November, 12 - 4pmNatures Forms, like a shell or a seedpod, can be infinitely inspiring to make in felt. Participants will learn various ways for making those types of shapes in handmade felt. Learn how to use many resists at once, resist pockets, make shapes with thick pre-felts, and felt by modelling shapes directly in your hand. Participants to bring a few found objects from nature, a towel, an upholstery sewing needle and thread, and a pair of pliers. Most materials supplied. Cost $160/$150 Friends. ROCKING THE SONGWRITERS WORKSHOP WITH JIM MOGINIE AND ROB HIRST FROM MIDNIGHT OILSaturday 10 December, 1 - 3pm Part conversation, part tutorial, part Q&A; hear about the journeys, the challenges and the triumphs behind the iconic songs of Midnight Oil. As two of Australia’s most significant songwriters and rock musicians, Rob and Jim will ‘deconstruct’ songs, discuss the collaborations, and reminisce on the riffs, the lyrics, and the stories.

BASIC DRYPOINT AND MONOTYPE PRINTMAKING WITH TONY AMENEIRO Two day workshop: Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 January, 12 - 4pmThis workshop will look at both the monotype and the drypoint printmaking processes using lightweight and affordable plastic sheet materials. Develop skills and techniques in toy deconstruction and reconstruction. Gain ideas on how to respond artistically to these materials in a spontaneous way by creating your very own Toy Bust.
