CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. Entry and Payment Forms must be received by Wednesday 11 March 2020.

2. The entry must be the original work of the artist and completed in last 12 months.

3. Artists are limited to 2 paintings but may also have two entries in the photographic/ sculpture sections.

4. Exhibition fee is $20 per entry. The fee is not refundable for any reason, including non-selection, as per standard exhibition practice.

5. Work submitted for exhibition must be available for sale.

6. Entry Form - a completed ‘Entry Form’ is required for each artwork submitted for exhibition. A clear, true-colour 10 x 15cm photograph (not larger) must accompany each entry form.

7. Payment Form – only one completed ‘Payment Form’ is required per artist and includes the payment method used for an entry to the exhibition. This form also provides for the artist’s bank details to allow remittance in the event of sale of artwork.

8. Commission on sales is 25%.

9. Painting carry-cord (not wire) and D-rings MUST BE FITTED 5-10 cm from top corners. Paint must be DRY and frames in good condition. Canvas edges must be clean or painted.

10. Entries not to exceed 1.5 metres on any side including frame due to space limitations in the exhibition area.

11. Diptych or triptych works must be fixed as one unit and conform to size restrictions. Weight – maximum 5kg per piece.

12. Sculptures or heavy work will be displayed if able to stand unsupported on a table, plinth or floor. The artist must provide any additional supports required.

13. We value your work and will take all care possible but we cannot accept responsibility for theft or damage.

14. All work will remain on display until the close of the exhibition except in exceptional circumstances.

15. All work must be collected on Sunday afternoon 5 April, between 3pm - 5pm.

16.The decision by the Art Prize Committee in relation to the exhibition and awarding of prizes, is final.

Key dates: Wednesday 11 March Applications close Wednesday 1 April Art delivery (3.30pm to 6pm) Friday 3 April Opening Night - Sponsors’ preview 6.30 to 7pm.

Official Art Show opening 7.00 pm and Prize Announcements. Exhibitor entitled to one complimentary entry. Additional tickets $20 pp includes refreshments. Persons under 18yo not admitted

Saturday 4 April Art show open 10am – 4pm Sunday 5 April Art show open 10am – 2.30pm Sunday 5 April ‘Meet the Artists’ 10am – 2pm at Thirroul District Community Centre and

Library Forecourt. All entrants are invited to set up a stall in the Community Centre forecourt 10am to 2pm. No commission on sales – good for small artwork, prints, cards, etc. Artists wishing to participate, contact Christine Hill on [email protected] by 20 March 2020.

Sunday 5 April Collection of unsold art from 3pm – 5pm (earlier collection not available as works need to be removed from wall after close of show)

1. Please use a separate Entry Form for each work, plus one Payment Form with your payment and banking details, in the event that your artwork is sold.

2. Artists are limited to 2 paintings but may also have two entries in the photographic/ sculpture sections

4. Confirmation of selection will be emailed after closing date. If you require confirmation by post, enclose a self-addressed stamped business-size envelope with your entry.

5. Complete and POST, or DELIVER forms, to 2 Roxburgh Avenue, Thirroul NSW 2515 by Wednesday 11 March 2020.

6. Digital entry is not available at this time. Declaration: I have read and agree to all Conditions of Entry (see overleaf) AND I agree that an image of my work may be used in exhibition publicity or may be recorded in photographs taken for exhibition records.

PAYMENT FOR ENTRY OF ARTWORK TO THE EXHIBITION

It is standard practice in any art prize/exhibition to charge a non-refundable entry fee whether or not the entry is exhibited. This assists us to cover the cost of venue hire, display and promotion, and to keep the commission on sales at a low 25% (standard commercial gallery commissions being 40%). Every effort will be made to ensure as many entries as possible are displayed.
