On returning to Munich Kandinsky returned to
teaching at his art school, running The BlueRider artist guild, and overseeing the
publication of The Phalanx. Kandinsky excelled
during this time having artistic freedom but still
some of his most valued works come from the
eras previous. That freedom continued for the
next few years until the Nazi party in Germany
began implementing strict policies on culture inGermany during the 1930s. Kandinsky fled to
Paris in 1934 at the heels of a Nazi power grab
that destroyed all forms of culture deemed
heretical or not aryan Christian. Consequently
many of the prints of Kandinskys famous
composition series were destroyed for being
satanic and perverse in Nazi Germany.

Kandinsky is well known for his Composition series. In the most pure
abstract art. It maintains some form and composition of traditional art b
nonsensical. Nonsensical because while forms are familiar they are not
senses. To understand abstract art lets examine Kandinskys Composaintin s.

Kandinsky often embodied spiritualism in his earlier work. Above are exam
paintings containing spiritual symbolism. The composition itself series he
symbolic stages of the apocalypse. Accounting the historical events he liv
would very much seem to him his world was indeed coming to an end

Color is the keyboard, the
eyes are the harmonies, thesoul is the piano with many
strings. The artist is the hand
that plays, touching one key or
another, to cause vibrations in
the soul.
