ART 321 News NEWSLETTER APRIL 2018
Letter from Our Director, Diane Harrop
We thank all of you who came by ART 321 for Art Walk on April 5! Adding an extra element of color to the evening was the gift of 200 roses that we were able to give out as part of our “Community Thank You Celebration”
honoring all the artists, donors, volun-teers and supporters whose combined efforts made our 2017 Governor’s Arts Award possible.
The May Art Walk raffle prize is a wonderful barrel stave & oak bench created by Ken Carpenter! Tickets are already on sale - $5 each or 5 for $20 – for this striking handcrafted item which would make the perfect addition to your patio, front porch or home interior.
Be sure to stop by the ART 321 gallery during the month of April to enjoy our new All Things Fashion open call show featuring clothing designs by Cara Sarvey, Eddie Marron’s Paintings on
Silk, and the two wonderful solo shows by Casper jewelers: Ra-chel Hawkinson’s Alloy addresses and Laura Kemberling’s
Timeless Collection.
Plans are once again underway for ART 321’s June yART Sale. We invite you to clean out closets and studio spaces and bring any unwanted art-related supplies, books, frames or art to do-nate for our annual sale. We are also in need of volunteers to help organize and price items that have already been received. We’ve been collecting items all year long and promise that this yART Sale will be even bigger & better than last year’s.
** ART 321 MEMBERS IN THE SPOTLIGHT **
Congratulations to Karen Henneck, who recently won Honora-ble Mention in the Pastel society of Colorado’s “Horizon”
show. Karen also has artwork in this year’s Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibit and at the Western Spirit Show at the Old West Museum in Cheyenne. We are most happy to cele-brate your artistic success!
Please let Diane know about your arts-related awards or achievements so we can celebrate them in next month’s news-letter.

WATERCOLOR CELEBRATION MONTH
May is Watercolor Celebration month at ART 321. The Range of
Vision water media show includes paintings submitted by artists
from across Wyoming and the region. The ART 321 gallery will also
feature the artwork of two gifted local watercolor instructors and their
students: Ellen Black & Friends and Holly Bryson & Friends.
Rounding out the May exhibitions is a one-woman show of the water-
color paintings of Gloria Ningen Gallegos, who splits her time be-
tween Casper, Taos and Austin, always painting whatever she sees.
Opening reception will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 3 and
the public is invited!
ART 321 thanks Darry Hume for the gift of our new Steam Punk gallery mascot: Rusty Fobot.
You might have noticed Rusty adorned appro-priately for the April “All Things Fashion” shows. Be sure to look for him in a different place each
month, dressed or decorated in celebration of the central theme on display in the gallery.

Attention members that have items in the Chapman Gift Shop, please
