ARPAN Advanced Railway Pension Access Network

Pre 2016 7CPC Revision User Manual July 2017



Pre-2016 revision cases can be finalized in two levels.

1. Personnel branch PL1 level Initiate revision, add/modify data, upload documents,

Generate & print Revision sheet and Submit case.

2. Accounts branch AL1 level Examine/verify/add/modify data, upload documents,

Generate & print Revision sheet and Approve case.

PPO number/pdf generation and download for printing.

Personnel Branch

Initiate Revision Login with PL1 user from ARPAN home page.

Go to Applications REVISION (PRE-2016) Initiate Revision CPC7



The application will open in new window as follows.

It will display list of cases for Zone and Unit of PL1 user.



Sort Data

Sort Data on PPO Number

User can sort data in ascending or descending order based on PPO Number.

Click on upward or downward arrow given after PPO Number label to sort data accordingly.



Sort Data on Employee Name

User can sort data in ascending or descending order based on Employee Name.

Click on upward or downward arrow given after Employee Name label to sort data accordingly.



Sort Data on Cessation Date

User can sort data in ascending or descending order based on cessation date.

Click on upward or downward arrow given after cessation date label to sort data accordingly.



Sort Data on Pension Type

User can sort data in ascending or descending order based on pension type.

Click on upward or downward arrow given after pension type label to sort data accordingly.



Search Data User can search data based on PPO number

User can search data based on Employee Name

User can search data based on account number.



Search Data on PPO Number

User need to enter some characters of PPO number in search box and click on search button.

System will display matching PPO number data as shown below.



Search Data on Employee Name

User need to enter some characters of employee name in search box and click on search button.

System will display matching employee name data as shown below.



Search Data on Account Number

User need to enter some characters of account number in search box and click on search button.

System will display matching account number data.

Search Data on PPO Number, Employee Name and Account Number

User can search data based on all three fields.

User need to enter some characters in all three search boxes and click on search button.

System will display matching data of all three fields as shown below.



Reset Data User can click on reset button to clear data in all 3 search boxes.

After click on Reset button system will remove data entered in all 3 search boxes and will display all PPO list.

Initiate Revision User can initiate revision of multiple cases.

System will create task for selected cases in PL1 inbox.

User need to select multiple cases and click on Initiate button as shown below.



User can select maximum 10 cases at a time to initiate revision.

If user select more than 10 cases and click on Initiate button then system gives error message as follows.

User selected 10 cases and click on Initiate button as shown below.



System gives confirmation message to initiate revision.

User can click on Yes to initiate revision for selected cases or click on No to cancel revision.

After click on “Yes” system gives confirmation message that revision is initiated for selected cases.

Task for all ten cases is created in PL1 inbox as follows.



PL1 Task PL1 need to open task in inbox.

Existing data of case will be displayed as shown below.

User can modify or enter data.

Employee Details

Pay Details



Pension and Bank Scroll Details

Beneficiary details and upload documents



Add/Modify employee/pensioner data

PL1 user can modify or enter data for all fields.

Cessation reason can be modified from list of values as shown below.

Staff Category can be modified from list of values as shown below

Department can be modified from list of values as shown below.



Designation: user need to click on icon displayed after the designation field to enable it as shown below.

After click on icon the designation field will be enabled as follows.

User need to type first three or more characters of designation and system will display list of designation

starting from these characters.

User need to select appropriate designation from list. User cannot edit designation.

After selection of designation, it will be displayed as shown below.



State can be selected from list of values

City can be selected based on state from list.

Selected State and City are shown below.



Save Data

Save button is provided to partially save data.

User can save data after some interval to avoid loss of data.

After reopening task, saved data will be displayed again.

After click on “Save” button, system will display information message that data is saved successfully.



Pay Scales

For retries of 4th and 5th CPC

User need to select appropriate Table number from list as shown below.

After selection of Table number, pay scale and pay level will be displayed for all pay commissions as per

concordance table.



User need to select appropriate Basic Pay from list as shown below

Information message will be displayed to verify selection.

Click OK to continue.



After selection of Basic Pay from list, Notional pay will be displayed for all pay commissions as per

concordance table.

After display save data.

For retries of 6th CPC

After selection of table number, last pay of employee needs to be entered.

After entering last pay of 6CPC, notional pay of 7CPC will be displayed. (Save and continue)



Pension Amounts

Enter pension details for 6th CPC in Pension Amount, EFP amount, NFP amount and EFP date fields which are

applicable.

System will display revised amounts based on multiplying factor (2.57).

System will display pension amounts as per 7th CPC notional pay.

Bank Scroll

Bank scroll details of PPO is also displayed as shown below for information only.



Beneficiary Details

User can modify existing beneficiary details.

To add beneficiary, click on “Add New” button and blank record will be displayed as shown below.

User need to add details like name, relation, date of birth and Aadhaar number.

If user wants to remove new record then user need to click on Red Cross marked button for particular record.

After click on button system will remove this record.

After removing record data will be displayed as shown below.



For family pension cases, select appropriate beneficiary name to issue PPO in his/her favour.

After selection of beneficiary, alert message will be displayed as follows.

Selected beneficiary will be displayed as follows



Document Upload

Click on Choose File button to upload document.

Select document to upload and click on Open button.

After successful upload information message will be displayed and document will be displayed in the list.



User can click on “Download” link for particular record to download and view document.

User can remove document using delete button for the particular record in front of each document.

Validate Data

After entering all details, user need to click on Validate button.

System will verify that all entered details are correct.

If some details are not entered or invalid, system will display error message for that field as shown below.



After entering or correcting data, again click on Validate button.

After successful validation of data, Print, Edit and Submit button will be displayed.

Edit Click on Edit button to again modify details.

Print Generate revision sheet.

Submit Submit task and it will be forwarded to AL1.

Before submit revision sheet need to be generated.

If user click on submit button without generating revision sheet then system will display error message.

Click on Print button and revision sheet will be generated. Save generated revision sheet.



Revision Sheet

Data entered for case will be displayed in revision sheet as shown below.



Before submit user can again edit data after click on Edit button

After click on Edit button, user need to modify data and click on validate button to again verify data.

After click on validate button, user again need to click on Print button to generate revision sheet.

After generation of revision sheet, user can click on Submit button to forward task to AL1.



Revision sheet can be generated after modification as follows.



Accounts Branch AL1 Task Task forwarded from PL1 will be displayed in AL1 inbox as follows.

User need to open task and details will be displayed as follows.

User can modify and save data, Print revision sheet and Approve case.

After click on Approve button, task will be removed from inbox and case will be available for PPO generation.



Commutation Details

User can modify existing commutation details. (For updating data only)

It will not be shown in PPO.

User can add commutation details. (For updating data only)

Click on Add New button and blank record will be displayed.

If user wants to remove new record then user need to click on Red Cross marked button for the particular

record. After click on button system will remove this record.

After removing record data will be displayed as shown below.



PPO Generation

Login with AL1 user.

Go to Applications REVISION (PRE-2016) PPO generation CPC7

Click on “PPO generation CPC7”

Cases available for PPO generation will be displayed in PPO number generation tab.

For legacy PPO cases, new PPO number will be generated in ARPAN format.

So check box is provided to select those cases for PPO number generation.



For cases settled in ARPAN, PPO number will be already generated and no need to generate PPO number

again. Only revised PPO will be generated for these cases.

PPO Number of these cases will be displayed under New PPO Number column.

PPO Number Generation

Select cases and click on “Generate PPO Number” button.

After generation of new PPO number, it will be displayed under New PPO number column.

Information message will be displayed that PPO number is generated successfully.



PPO PDF Generation

After PPO number generation, cases will be displayed in PPO PDF Generation tab.

User need to select cases and click on “Generate PPO PDF” button to generate revised PPO.

After generation of revised PPO, information message will be displayed and cases will be removed from list.

After generation of revised PPO, same cases will be removed from PPO Number Generation tab.



Download PPO

PPO can be downloaded from “Download PPO PDF” tab.

Generated PPO can be searched using old/new PPO number or PPO generation date

Enter data in applicable fields and click on Search Button to display PPO for download.

Search PPO on PPO generation date

Enter date in “from date” field to search PPO generated from that date.

If to date field is kept blank then system will consider it as current date.

Enter from date and click on Search button.

System will display list of PPO generated from this date.



User can enter “from date” and “to date” to search PPO

System will display list of PPO generated between entered “from date” and “to date”



Search PPO on PPO Number

PPOs can be searched using PPO Number/Old PPO number field.

Enter complete or some part of PPO Number/Old PPO Number in this field and click on Search button.

System will check entered data for either new PPO or Old PPO number.

Click on Reset button to clear searched list and enter new search criteria.



Search PPO as shown below.

Click on pdf icon shown for particular PPO to download PPO.



PPO PDF

Open PPO pdf and verify its details.
