Aussie of the week
Congratulations to everyone celebrating a
birthday this week.
Dear Antonio Park Families,
School Performances
Well done to our aerobics teams who competed in the
State Championships last Saturday. All students
‘shined’ on stage and it was great to see them having
fun!
The Trouble Makers, Sensational Seven, Dazzling
Daisies, Dazzling Stars, Dazzling Dolphins and
Sparkling Tigers competed in the morning and did
really well. In the afternoon, the Rock Breakers,
Diamonds, Little Diamonds, Girl Rockers, Dazzling
Dolphins, Mischief Makers, Start Struck, Little Tackers
and Party Rockers competed in their different divisions.
Four of our teams, Start Struck, Little Tackers, Party
Rockers and Mischief Makers will be competing at the
National Championships at the Gold Coast in August.
Well done! Congratulations to coordinator, Natalie
Mackay and coaches Lauren Croxford, Stacey Gamble,
Courtney Camm, Jana Densem Alec Baroni and
Christine Ewan who give their own time to training ses-
sions, to the students who train so hard and to our
parents who support the program. It is through the
dedication of the students, coaches and parents that
the APPS aerobic program continues to flourish. See
inside this week’s newsletter for photos and places for
all of our teams...an amazing feat.
Staff Leave
Mrs Mac and I will be taking Long Service Leave at the
beginning of next term. I will be taking the first three
weeks and Mrs Mac will be taking two weeks from
Wednesday 24th July returning on Monday. During my
leave Mrs Mac or Mrs Hayes will be Acting Principal.
Holidays
It’s hard to believe another term has come to an end.
Students, teachers and education support staff are to
be congratulated on a wonderful term! We thank our
parents for all their support over the term with the many
ways they have helped in the school.
I would like to wish staff and students a safe, happy
and relaxing holiday...recharging those batteries ready
for another wonderful term of learning and experiences.
Next term will see us getting ready for our school
production. The Prep to Year 4 students performing
song and dance to the Disney theme and the Level 4
students will be performing a childrens version of A
Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shakespeare)
A Kidsummer Nights Dream. Tickets will be available
on line. There will be more information about purchas-
ing tickets coming out early next term.

Assistant Principals
It has been a wonderful and busy last week of Term in Level 2. We have finished learning about mapping and location and are working with place value of numbers. It would be fantastic if the students could practise reading large numbers at home. We are finishing our information reports this week. There will be some writing pieces up on display in the hallway of the main building at the end of this week! Please take some time to have a look at all the wonderful work. Keep bringing in the swimming forms. The small green and white enve-lope needs to be signed and the orange medical form needs to be filled out on both sides.
Parent/Student/Teacher conferences were held on Tuesday this week and it was great to see all the students sharing the wonderful work they have completed this semester with their parents. Have a relaxing and safe holidays everyone! Level 2 Team

What’s Happening In Level 2?
Congratulations to Level 1 students on completing your second semester at school. Your enthusiasm, hard work and positive attitudes towards school and learning is outstanding. All Level 1 teachers are extremely proud of how independent you all have become and the pride you are taking in your achievements. We are looking forward to next term and watching you develop and further enhance your knowledge and skills. We would once again like to thank all of the parent helpers and PMP helpers for this term. The support is fantastic and we are looking for-ward to seeing you next term. Thank you to all the parents who attended the Parent/Student/Teacher conference. It was fantastic to meet with you and discuss your child’s progress and to allow your child to present to you all their hard work
they have been doing at school and to celebrate their achievements. Level 1 students have thoroughly enjoyed learning about safety this term. Students were highly engaged and keen participants in all safety incur-sions. Next semester we will be learning about ‘’Health” and what we need to do to keep ourselves fit and healthy in our active lifestyles. Our students will be celebrating 100 days at school on Monday 29th July. On this day we come to school dressed up in something to do with the number 100. For example as a 100W light globe, a 100 year old person, 100kph speed sign. Use the holidays to plan and prepare your child's costume! We also have a lunch party to celebrate on this day and a note will go home early in Term 3 giving you more details about this. Have a safe, relaxing and enjoyable holiday! Level 1 Team.
It was wonderful to see so many parents at school this week, sharing their child’s achievements with their teacher. The conferences are a great way
to discuss goals for the future with everyone at the discussion. Enjoy browsing through the Student Portfolio with your family over the
holidays. Library A big thank you: to Margit for helping us every Monday in the library…cataloguing, mending, tidying etc…it has been fantastic…and to Leanne
for covering all our beautiful books ready for us to share…wonderful! EARN AND LEARN Thank you to everyone who has been collecting the Woolworth’s Earn &
Learn stickers! The competition has ended and we have lots to count! Lauren E would like all stickers in by tomorrow, as she will be sending in our collection…we hope to win some great resources for our school.
Thank you to Lauren for organising this event! Have a great relaxing time with family and friends! Annette & Jan
(these are our chairs waiting for us!)
School Photos
Advancedlife Photography have advised that school photos will be sent home the first or
second week of term 3.
What’s Happening In Level 3?
It was lovely meeting up with parents and students to discuss your child’s progress and their school life experiences. Congratulations to all of our level 3 students who spoke confidently and showed great enthusiasm and pride when sharing their work and achievements. We have been focusing on time throughout maths sessions and it has been great to see students wearing an analogue watch to school and ensuring our sessions are running to schedule. It would be great if parents could continue this learning at home and throughout the holidays, ask your child to tell you the time, can they say it a different way? How many minutes until their favourite t.v show? How long do they sleep for? How long does it take them to get ready, seconds, minutes, hours? What time do they go to bed, what is this in 24hr time? It would be wonderful to see more analogue watches being worn to support your child’s learning. Take a peep at our sensational Inquiry unit pictures. The students were asked to create a package that preserves, contains, attracts, informs, is con-venient and protects a product. They were required to plan, design and present an imaginary package, showing their understanding of the unit. They presented their package to a class member for a peer assessment. Fantastic work Level 3 students. Thanks for a fabulous semester and have a relaxing holiday. Level 3 Team
What’s Happening In Level 4?
How time goes by fast! It is hard to believe that we are at the end of the term. We have certainly been busy and had a great time together! Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences Our student lead Parent/Student/Teacher Discussions this week were enjoyable and informative. Thank you to those of you who were able to attend and participate in the celebration of your child’s achievements. Level 4 Sport This Friday is our Pyjama and Crazy Hair Day, students are expected to wear their sports uniforms to school and change into their pyjamas after sport. We will be playing against Donvale Christian College in the morning be-tween 9.00 and 11.00 am. The following teams are playing at home: Vol-
leyball, Bat Tennis, Netball(C)& Football. These teams are playing away: Netball (girls & mixed), Softball (both teams), and Soccer. Wishing you a safe and relaxing holiday. See you next term! Level 4 Team
